    Back Pain!

Last time I wrote about the obnoxious pimples that were surfacing out of nowhere, and luckily they went away quite quickly except for the monster on my forehead that I kept picking at...my fault, I know. So during my Absorica journey, I've been following other peoples blogs, Instagrams etc. and I kept reading about how people have had horrible back pain but never understood what they meant because I never had it. I chalked it up to me only being on it for 2 months and figured the worst had y

    Day 17

Helllooooo, so my nose continues to be dry and a little bloody. My neti-pot is going to become my best friend so I don't look like a 22 year old that still picks their nose. My scalp is already drying out. I'm blonde and I used to barely get away with going 24 hours without washing my hair cause the greasiness would turn me into a brunette but today I actually had to question when the last time I washed it was because it still hasn't gotten greasy! I've been tired/lazy lately but I don't really

    Causes Processing To Skin Cancer

In toenails should always leave the biggest corners by cutting the "square" nail to avoid the jam. Some truths and myths about health and beauty Truths and Myths Unravel the myths about health and beauty skin should never be operated signals but can turn into cancer? Myth Often people say, "the guy had a sign that was operating and became a cancer ... I should not have moved.” Surely it was a cancer before operated. Operate a sign or paint does not cause processing to skin cancer. Pin
  4. Hi all, I am currently on Isotretinoin for very bad acne on my back and chest, I have been taking 40mg a day since Sunday 24th January. My concern is, is that I have started to get spots on my face and they seem to be getting worse on my shoulders. Is it the case of 'they'll get worse before they get better'. If anyone could help, that would be great. Thank you

    1 Month Check Up... Scared

Today was my 1 month check up. My liver function was elevated since last time... that makes me a little nervous. They didn't really say too much about it and all I saw on the sheet was that it said +40 ? I still got my prescription for this month I'm just praying it isn't eleveated too much and I can continue to take this for the full 5 months. Today my derm gave me 6 shots of cortisone. 5 in some larger nodules and 1 in my lip? The corner of my lip is really cracked so she gave me a cortiso

    Day 5

So last night while I was working (5 HOURS LATER THAN I WAS SUPPOSED TO) I got anxious and annoyed so I picked at my face, horrible I know but I won't anymore. There were just so many pop-able ones. Anyways, oddly enough my face looks better today kinda and I've had a bunch of little baby pimples pop up on my checks, nose, and chin. No dryness yet other than potentially inside my nose. Also, my mouth tastes a little weird/different right when I wake up. I wonder if that is related to accutane.
  7. Hello I am a new member, long time lurker of this expansive community. I used to suffer from mild acne that turned moderate and then it peaked at severe cystic acne. I treated and "cured" the cystic acne with an unconventional method called "cave man regimen" Yes this new method worked by allowing the cystic inflammation to heal, but I believe not washing my face for an extended period of time brought about a whole new issue that I have never experienced before: Seborrheic Dermititis. The people

    Start Of Week 3

Starting week 3, my acne has imporved significantly. Still no IB and really hoping it stays that way. As far as symptoms go, my dry lips are terrible. Cracks in the corner, hard to eat and hard to brush my teeth without bothering the cracked corners. I've been switching on and off all day and night between aquaphor and caramex, sometimes both at the same time... anything for some relief!! My dry eyes are a little better, been using artificial tears 5-6 times a day and that has been helpi
  9. Hey everyone. I have been on Claravis (40mg) for 4 weeks. I wanted share how this month has gone for me and see if anyone has similiar experiences or comments. Sorry for the long post, wanted to be thorough! My history I can sum up pretty easily and probably alike to many others. I have battled acne for over 10+ years, and I have been on every prescribed topical/drug on the market, while also trying several natural remedies as well. Most drugs either didn't work or worked for small peri
  10. I just took my first pill of Clavaris (30mg) last night and this afternoon I have felt like I’ve had pressure in my head and I wanted to get some input before I take my second pill. I can sometimes freak myself out when it comes to medical situations and overly worry so I wanted to find out if I should worry about this. The pressure felt a bit better when I tried to calm myself down and then a lot better when I ate (I was pretty hungry when it was at it’s worse). It been a couple hours since I a
  11. Has anyone had this happen to them? How long did it take to heal? I woke up with a feeling of something in my lower chest a couple days ago.
  12. Hi, this is my first time posting on this website.. I'm always on this website without an account so I finally made one because I started isotretinoin. I have been noticing some side effects (some that come and go) that have been concerning me. First of all, I'm on 20mg of Claravis two times a day, one in the morning & one at night. (I'm 5'8.. 125 pounds) I started about 5 days ago.. and have been having some problems. First of all my eyes are so DRY and RED.. It's hard for me to wear my

    Dry Skin?

Many people have dry skin while on medication for their acne. I used to use the St. Ives face scrub but I was nervous to use it because I thought it would irritate my skin and cause even more redness while on Absorica. So while I stopped using the face scrub, I began to get really annoyed by the small dry patches on the top of my arms and on my face. I was looking for a natural remedy and came up with my new 'go-to' for dry skin. The best part? It's completely all-natural, and safe to use anywhe

    Accutane Day 3

ACCUTANE DIARY DAY 3 Dosage: 30mg, once a day: 1 pill 20mg, 1 pill 10mg. Symptoms: I have been experiencing rather uncomfortable muscle pain in my legs, stomach, back and arms. It is a sort of achey feeling that I have even at rest. I believe it is also related to my recent exercise (running) but it is much more intense than usual. No dryness as of now, but some sadness, and very brief headaches. Skin: Initial breakout? I have three new pimples on my face, very red and painful: cheek, chin and

    Day 46

Day 46 already, its gone really quickly tbh! First off i'll give you the names of the creams and topics the hospital have given me, which are brilliant I would definetly recommend them. The first cream I use is normally on any part of your body that seems slightly drier than the rest or peeling a bit, called Dermol Cream. Second one is Epaderm and comes in a cream and an ointment, I find the ointment works better and I use them for really dry places like my elbows and sometimes my knees, works f
  16. Hi guys! My name is Quinn and I am currently a 21-year old female struggling with hormonal/prolonged acne mainly of the face, neck, and upper back. I will post a before picture later this evening. My acne is not cystic and relatively mild in comparison with extreme cases; however it is also extremely persistent and consistent. After trying everything (literally everything) from my skin routine to my prescribed treatments, my dermatologist and I found it in my best interest to begin "accutane",
  17. Hello everyone. So I'm taking isotretinoin (60mg per day) (cystic acne) since 13th of September and yesterday I saw in my one hand some kind of irritation like when you have an allergy or something. Could that be because of the pills? Thank you and sorry for my English (I'm Greek)
  18. So I've been on Accutane 7 days now and so far great, no side effects apart from dry lips and one other thing... I've noticed vaginal dryness... I've started reading things online which are now worrying me as some women state that their vaginal dryness has persisted years after stopping treatment and can now not have sex without it being painful and without lube!! My dermatologist never mentioned this and im terrified... what if i can never have sex again?! Has anyone had persistent vaginal dryn

    Day 3

One more day in the books! So far I've gotten a couple more pimples, but I don't know if this is due to accutane or my period (sorry if that's TMI but it is what it is). My roommates have been complete shitheads the last 48 hours so if that additional stress doesn't kickstart my initial breakout than I don't know what will. I swear it looks like my pores are opening up but maybe I'm just noticing it because I haven't been analyzing my face before bed every night in this much detail before. I hav

    Day 9

I can't believe I only have one more pill in my 1st pack of 10! AHH, so exciting. I am slightly noticing the drying a bit more. My cheeks have been breaking out the worst but also seem like the most dry areas so far. My lips are slightly chapped as well, but I've been very proactive about chapstick. I'm ready for these annoying blackheads to start pushing themselves out already! They seem darker and they're just so tempting...I just want to squeeze them. I had a nasty whitehead I was doing such

    60Mg

I'm laying on the couch, hung over, drinking orange juice and watching Spongebob...so I thought it would be a great time to update. I was so excited a few weeks ago when my doctor upped my dosage to 60mg because I felt like I wasn't making much progress with 40. Unfortunately, with the 60mg came dryer lips and my face had a total break out. As for my lips, it's not so much my actual lips that are dry, it's the corners of my mouth (which is a little are to see in the picture I posted). The r
  22. I began having severe cystic acne on the lower-half of my face in my early twenties. I went on 40mg accutane for 6 months (145 lbs, 5'10). I cleared up after the 1st month, had chapped lips, but they were manageable. No other symptoms, and I was zit free (except 1 or 2 every month or so) for about 7 years. I stopped taking birth control after my husband took care of things on his end, and my face went into a RAGE. The acne was so large and painful, and it was humiliating to go to work everyda
  23. Hi, guys! I started my Accutane cure 12 days ago, 40 mg per day. 2-3 days in i got a fever and general cold symptoms (stuffy nose and headache), also dry eyes och and lips. The fever never went higher than 37.9 degrees Celcius (around 100.2 degrees Farenheit). The headache stopped about 5 days after it started and the fever has went down the last days. I have slight "double vision"/"ghosting", especially after reading and then looking at, for example, my alarm clock 3 meter away. There i

The symptoms he described mirrors my acne completely! After trying all sort of products and supplemnets without nay real results and no direction, I actually think I might be getting somewhere. What would we do without the internet eh <3 Check out the link, i think i might really help you find the appro

    Week 8

It has been a few weeks since I posted last time =/ I have been SO TIRED every day when I get off work that I come home and immediately pass out. I think the accutane is making me feel this way... A few things have changed since the last time I was on here. My doctor upped my dosage to 60 mg per day so that I could be done a bit sooner than expected. I am supposed to take one 20mg a day and one 40 mg a day separately. However, I have been having the hardest time remembering to take my pills
