  1. Seriously losing the will to live with my acne. It’s a joke! I’ve had acne since I was 18 and I’m now 25 going on 26!!! I’ve tried literally everything and my only option left is accutane but I really really don’t want to go on it because I have a phobia of blood and needles so I couldn’t deal with the monthly blood test’s needed. I’ve used both benzoyl peroxide and Retinoids like Differen none have helped. I even went on the contraceptive pill to see if that helped and it didn’t
  2. Hi. So I haven't posted anything on this forum in quite awhile because I haven't really needed to. HISTORY: I began getting mild acne around 3 years ago, mostly just whiteheads. Over the course of 2 years my acne got irritated and discolored. I wasn't happy. So let's start with around 2 years ago. I first started using Benzoyl Peroxide 0.1% for my acne in the fall of 2011. Though my acne started to subside, nothing drastically changed. In March of 2012 I decided to try the Acne.org Regimen.
  3. What are your thoughts on supplementing magnesium? Any success or improvements? Which form/brands do you prefer? I heard magnesium glycinate is the most gentle form o f magnesium. What are your thoughts or suggestions? And how much do you take? Do you take any other supplements with it? Notice any bowel differences or differences in sleep pattern? Thank you very much!
  4. Hello Everyone, I started using the regimen about 2 months ago, I've been so pleased with the results that I don't want to jeopardize the progress I've made thus far by using random products that will break me out. I am in my twenties and I am hoping to incorporate a nice anti-aging night cream, I currently use Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair in the evenings along with acne.org's cleanser+bp+moisturizer. Any suggestions you guys have would be great! My skin: Fairly sensitive to fragra

  6. I have mild and sometimes moderate acne. Lately I have been researching the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush or the Clarisonic Mia 2. Both of these devices are quite a bit of money so I want to get all my facts straight before I make a big purchase. Right now I'm leaning towards the Mia 2 but I want reviews or suggestions from real acne sufferers before I go with this decision. Most of the video reviews I have been watching are made by people who do not have to deal with acne so I
  7. Hey everyone! I'm a 24 year old woman and as you an tell by my title, I'm one of those lucky people who don't get acne just once but twice! yay I've written a detailed summary of my long and laborious Acne Odyssey. But here's for those who don't wanna read too much (cause ain't nobody got time for that): Super Short Summary DON'T take B-12 or other B complex supplements if you have acne-prone skin! (This is what mainly gave me acne the second time) See a professional (and be p

Ok- I am going to try and write in this blog every night to update my progress. PLEASE comment and respond in some way because I do not want to be alone in this- I want to make friends to keep me motivated! Problem areas- my temples and cheekbones are really bad, I also have A TON of white bumps on my chin that have been there FOREVER I am going to start my routine on Friday, July 22. Morning- I wake up and wash and dry my face with water. When getting ready for the day, I apply minimal f
  9. A few minutes after getting out of the shower my face will be covered in dry skin. Usually what I will do is just use water to gently rub it off, but sure enough, a few minutes later it's right back there. I am scared that this is contributing to my acne, or at least making it worse. I know that hot water is bad for your skin and dries it out and I have adjusted to taking only warm, short showers, but my problem remains. I have very bad acne scaring and acne still exists on my face,
  10. Hello everyone, I have been suffering from acne since I was about 17. I am now 19 and I am 99% cleared from acne with daily use of spectro gel, clindamycin solution with dilusol and differin gel 0.1%. Although my scars have improved quite a bit since I got them 2 years ago, I am still not satisfied. I would need some suggestions on what treatments I could possibly do. My scars are fairly shallow. Some of them are clustered in one spot but for the most part they are isolated. I am thinking of pur

  12. I am feeling so sad. My skin is dry, cracked, and it hurts. It makes me want to take the BP and throw it away. I feel like it's destroying my skin. Like its stripping it of anything good it had left in it. I want to stop using it, but I'm afraid of what may happen. Before I started the regimen, my acne was getting progressively worse. The regimen stopped it in its tracks and even made it a lot better...until recently. I slowly started implementing the routine twice a day, and my skin is so dry
  13. Detail about myself, I'm 18 this year, I have oily skin, I don't really eat much junk food, i walk for at least 30 min p/d, i drink water ( not enough tho...) and my face... well i wound't say its acne prone, I don't think I have acne. but i non-stop break outs. I've tried many, many products the past year or so due to the realisation that, I'm girl. I've had breakouts as long as i could remember, (well, actually since my teenage year starts. ) I've used and still using tea tree oil on my spo
  14. So my friend just told me about this website so I'm a newbie and there's just so much information to sort through that I thought I might post my own story to get some help? I'm twenty-one years old and I had absolutely no acne until I was about nineteen. I know it's hormonal because it will be huge breakouts a week before my period. Lately I've been having month-long acne and I'm not even having those clear skin breaks. I mostly break out on the sides of my chin (big, most noticeable acne s
  15. Hello. I've been on the regimen for almost 3 months. Thankfully, I'm almost completely clear. However, I've got a bit of a problem. I can't seem to find a decent moisturizer. I've tried a few, each of which had a big problem, and am now looking for suggestions. Please do not suggest the following, as I have already tried them: - Acne. Org's moisturizer- GREAT moisturizer, but it turns my face orange. I still use it at night, but I cannot use it during the day because then my face looks
  16. I have been taken oral antibiotics (lymecycline) for nearly 3 months now and I am not seeing an improvement whatsover and on the patient leaflet it states it should take around 8 weeks to see an improvement and it is already over that time. I have also been applying duac gel which contains 5% benzoyl peroxide and a topical antibiotic called clindamycin for 5 weeks now and on the patient leaflet is says an improvement should be seen between 2-5 weeks and it has also been over that amount of time
