  2. Hi Everyone. This is my first post on the forums. The question is concerned with my wife who is 27 years old. There is no history of pregnancy. She and her family never had any history of acne problems but about 3-4 months back she had a sudden breakout of acne on her cheeks. And since then it has not stopped. She has consulted 2 doctors till now and below is what the doctors suggested:1) She hits the gym everyday so the first guess was that may be a supplement like protein/multivitamin/BCAA(All GNC p
  3. Warning: Long as Hell I'm going to include many things I've experienced in the past with my skin (not just the current issue) so that anyone reading this can hopefully take something away from it. And so that the history of my skin is not an unknown variable in what happened to me. Today: My entire face is wrecked right now. And I don't know what to do, I'm pacing around my house, losing sleep, sobb
  4. Hi everyone, just wanted to see if I could get some input from you. I 'm a 27 year old female, and all through puberty I have had horrible acne. This was eventually treated with a couple of cycles of klinotab (minocyclin). Ever since I was about 19 years old I've been practically acne-free, with the odd breakout during that time of the month. In january I found out I'm allergic to quite a lot of foods (including gluten, eggs, mushrooms, lactose,...) and I've been off those foods sinc
  5. I made another post about this, with my pictures, but has anyone had this happen from something they've done or used, and MOST IMPORTANTLY...has it gone away?!?!IM SCARED TO DEATH that my skin won't return to how it was 3 weeks ago.id rather have my cysts back from 4.5 years ago and just go on accutane again than have my whole facial skin uglified in a matter of days just from using a retinoid twice and GENTLE as hell exfoliation. I literally sucked Google dry for search results on this exact si
  6. I've been used to acne for a while now, but suddenly in about 1-2 weeks, there is a big circle of acne on my left cheek! I'm not sure if it is cystic acne but it is kind of itchy. the outside few are scars but the ones in the middle are bumps. they don't feel sore at all.
  7. Hello everyone, time has come to make a post, hoping someone could give some directions or tips. About me: Male, 26 years old. Sensitive skin. Lifestyle: Work with computer, but love to exercise, mostly - running. Acne type: Mostly - blackheads and blackheads that turn in to whiteheads. Whiteheads can show up really fast and are filled with loads of white puss. They pop really easy and also heal pretty quickly. Since they are on top of surface, I get no scaring. No cystic acne for me.
  8. This was a normal spot first 3 days ago however it has now gotten bigger and has left a strange visible mark on my face. i have been using 10%Bp recently and have been using it to dry out existing acne. is this possibly a bad reaction to the bp?
  9. Hi, In the past 2 months or less my acne has been getting 100 times worse, and now it's at its worst in 6 years. I really can't understand what is going on, and I would really appreciate some advice. A brief history of my acne: I'm 22 now (female). My acne started at at 13, it was severe during the teenage years. I tried many topical products and anti-biotics. It has always been localised to my jaw, chin and cheeks. I started taking yasmin a year ago, and it has removed all the acne that was
  10. I have had clear skin my whole life and suddenly at the age of 24, seemingly overnight, I developed many small bumps on my forehead which turned into cystic pimples at various stages, this has been happening for 2.5 months now and has even started happening on my chin and around my nose. I have tried acne cleansers and also just washing with dove soap and water and cutting back on makeup. I have had no luck getting rid of this and the only thing I can think of that may have caused it is I went o
  11. Hi. My acne problem is weird! So it started suddenly. I'm 17, and my acne problems were always the manageable kind. I used to get occasional pimples from when a ball might touch my face (:P) or something. Nothing ott. But literally a month after school ended, I'm getting horrible breakouts. These are not the traditional pimples. I have tiny bumps which started out to the immediate left and right of my nose and on the spot between my eyebrows. Now, its all over my cheeks and a large part of the f
  12. PLEASE READ, I would really appreciate any advice.. I've always had generally clear skin mind a few stubborn little skin colored bumps that would sometimes swell and become pimples but nothing super noticeable. In november - january, however, my skin was completely (and I mean COMPLETELY) clear and soft and supple - I had not changed my skincare or diet. I was starting to feel good about not having makeup on....and then in march the bumps began to come back. Around that same time, I develop
  13. Someone please help me! I have absolutely no clue what theese are, if they're acne or not, and how they even got there. I've always had reasonably clear skin and at the end of last year I developed a few of theese little bumps so for the whole summer holidays I wore absolutely no face makeup to see if that made a difference & it didn't! I do my skin care regime twice a day everyday but theese things just won't budge and they bring my confidence down so much! They don't itch, they don't
  14. Every morning when I wake up, I have no idea how my skin looks and I just feel stressed until I check the mirror and notice theres not really any new developments, believe me- it would take a hell of a lot to surprise me now, I've seen everything! Some morning's I've woken up and looked in the mirror and been absolutely horrified and my confidence obliterated. What can we do to change this? I never do it straight away, I always let myself wake up first but I always feel afraid to check. Conqueri
  15. I'm 31 and have had clear skin my whole life until about 3 months ago. I would occasionally get a small whitehead but nothing big. Now I have semi-severe cystic acne on the right side of my face (cheek and chin). This type of acne is entirely new to me. I have pretty dry skin. My checks have always been clear in the past. I recently relocated at about the same time as the onset of my acne, but I have moved several times in the past few years so I am reluctant to blame the move. I've gone t
  16. Earlier this year I started to get a bunch of whiteheads that I never had all around my T zone before... But afterwards, I went to the derm and I got treatment but nothing went away and all those whiteheads turned into cysts and nodules and spread all over my face. Before that, I had completely clear skin with some minor breakouts right before/during my period. I used to always get complimented on my skin and only wore make up for special occasions. I can honestly say that I have a very health
