  1. I have been battling pimples my entire adult life. But for the last 14 months I have been experiencing the worst acne of my life. This time there is something different, this acne is more persistent. In my future blog posts you will read about my history with acne medications, birth control pills, treatments, ointments, the list goes on. I was recently diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which I will elaborate on in another post. But for my first entry, I thought I would discus

  3. Hey guys I'm a 16 year old guy and I'm on my second month of Accutane. I have moderate acne primarily on my chin and nose. I've been on it for a month and 4 days. I won't go into everything I've tried before I tried accutane because I know whoever takes this medicine has tried everything already. I'm taking the "Absorbica" version which is apparently a new product. Ever since I started Accutane my face has been a mess. Just in the first 2 weeks I got 5 big cysts on my chin and after that, o
  4. Hi! So, I recently started Accutane for the first time on May 10th. I decided I would make a Accutane log so I could see my progress. I'm 16 and a girl, if that makes a difference I'm on 40mg per day. I've tried many things to clear my acne and they work for a little but then stop! I've tried proactiv, clean and clear, doryx, and other things prescribed to me that I don't know the names of. I have tons of acne scars, so i don't know if you can see my actual break outs but I have tons. It look
  5. Hello people. Long story short had somwhat bad acne, went on accutane and had some pretty bad breakouts (or what poeple call initial breakout) but in the end of the course i was clear but then suffered from red marks on my cheeks mostly where my acne breakouts were the worst. I finished accutane in June last year so it's almost been a year, a long year haha, and i still have these marks, If i would explain them i would say that its quite few red marks, most is somewhat pink colored around whe
  6. Hi. I am at my wits end with this. I have been on Spironolactone 100mg for almost 5 years. Along with Beyaz, for a little over 8. I had large cystic acne, within a few days of starting Spiro, it just flattened all my acne, and it just stopped. It was a miracle. My hair wasn't oily anymore, my life completely changed. Now, I am 25 years old - and within the past several months all of my acne is coming back, this time on top of cysts + medium & under the skin pimples. They will not stop, arou

  9. Hi all - just a little background info first: I had cystic acne back when I was 19 and it got better after being out in antibiotics and tazorac. I didn't suffer from any side effects then. After 4 years of clear skin, my face started getting bumpy again (it looked as if there was millia on my face, or clogged pores). I went to the derm and I was given tazorac again because she said "it worked so well in the past." Lo and behold, after 3 weeks of using it, my face has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY WORS
  10. Hi! I'm 16 and a girl and I have very persistant acne, especially on my cheeks and forehead,. I've never had much problem on my temples, my nose and especially my mouth. Let me just say that my mouth = never any real problem. I may have had a pimple or two (really small ones) a few times but nothing too embarassing. So I started using ProActiv over two weeks ago, and my result: My skin has gotten very oily (something I never had a problem with before) and I have more inflammed pimples. I am
