  1. Hi guys! I’ve been struggling with acne since I was a teenager (I’m 25 now and still struggling lol) but here’s what I wished I’d known in the past. Natural remedies are the best and supplements help a great deal too. For me, I’ve switched to using aloe gel and jojoba oil as my moisturiser and castor oil (anti-bacterial) for my acne. I also use a raw honey, lemon, cinnamon and nutmeg mask once every 2 days. Also, I’ve started taking some supplements because I highly suspect the cause of my acne
  2. Hey everyone! I've finally reached that point where I can be *proud* of my complexion: acne-free and, not only that, but, GLOWING (*touches wood*)! So, I thought, hey, why not share what products I use and my skin-care regimen to a few people. Maybe it'll help you? I should start with how my skin looked previously and the severity of my acne. I had your usual teenage spots, 1-3 spots on my face at any time, both REALLY small and large (at one point, one spot was the size of a 5 pence coin!)
  3. This is going to be a long post. A little background info, I have had acne since I was 10 years old, and I am turning 20 this year, finally with clear skin. I call the past 10 years the "decade of hell". I think we all encounter some kind of moment where we go, damn, I've had enough of this crap. And thus began my last ditch efforts to salvage my skin, which I am happy to say has finally become beautiful. Having lurked on this forum for years, I feel like its time for me to give bac
  4. I bought the Acne.org regime in Nov 2015 after seeing the successes of several individuals on YouTube. As many other, I have seen a huge difference in my skin and am really happy with the results however, with the amount I had to fork out I didn't expect anything less! I paid $44.87 for the actual product itself and then the website attempts to charge a minimum of $21.38 for shipping to the UK! On top of that... When the products arrived in the UK, I'm faced with a letter - not the products! A
  5. Hello everyone! I've been on acne.org for quite some time as a non-user and I have to say I love the honesty of this community. I don't know what I would have done without it. Acne has been a severely lonely endurance.. In real life I do not know anyone else that has suffered like I suffered. So here is a little bit of a backstory (photos included), my skin was everything to me. I loved doing makeup artistry so I felt like my skin really complimented that. Just like some people like their eyes,
  6. I'm going to tell you my success story on how I won my battle with severe acne....at age 21! 21 years old male skinny IBS-d Acne hit me when I was a freshmen in high school. At first it was a little then as life went on so did my acne. By junior year I had severe acne, when I say severe I mean I had cystic, little red bumps, and tons of blackheads on my nose. My face was extremely and still is oily. With bacne galore. At 17 (end of junior year) I've tried every kind of treatment with no
  7. I just wanted to update anyone interested in holistic methods for acne what I have been doing recently. I learned about Arachidonic Acid (AA) which is highly inflammatory and what Omega 6 is converted to in the body. AA metabolizes into all the inflammatory compounds; especially leukotrienes and prostaglandins. I learned that you need to redirect how your body deals with PolyUnsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA's) towards the anti-inflammatory compounds. I realize that there is a balance. We already kn
  8. I have no idea how to upload pictures o here. I would like to show my success, if there is any. Someone please help!! It would be GREATLY appreciated
  9. It's been a long four months since I decided to start this regiment, but I feel like I've come a substantial way. I started my own log to document any progress and setbacks I was experiencing during the regiment, as well as to test out any new products I was using. The log comprises the notes from my first five weeks, and then a follow up of where I am today. The most drastic changes occured in the first 5 weeks, and so I didn't feel the need to keep writing past that time. Products you will fi
  10. I'm sorry to start a new thread--I know there's a main dermarolling support thread but it wasn't that helpful. 1) I know JGGlobal has been recommended, Owndoc.com, and Dr. Roller. I'm also seeing lots of titanium alloy rollers on Ebay that are not those brands. How do you guys feel about Ebay? Right now I'm not sure that I'm willing to spend more than $20. I have icepick scars, saggy, mottled skin, small cysts, papules, whiteheads, blackheads and broken capillaries--itchy or cystic s
  11. Hi Guys I just stopped back by this board and was so upset to see so many distraught topic titles. I just want to let you know that there is hope, I understand exactly how you feel, it is AWFUL to have such bad skin...it affects everything you think and do. This was me back in November 2011 And this is me today My course ended in April 2012, and since then the pigmentation has pretty much gone This was my log - please do read it if you are thinking all hope is lost or
  12. Yes you read that right... I'm just curious really. Has anyone from acne.org ever gotten married or started dating from this site? I think this site has a lot of potential, especially since most people here understand what other acne sufferers are going through- and hey, it's a great conversation starter plus it's something every datee would have in common! Boy: "Hey, so.. I got this pimple..." Girl: Smiles. "Me too!!" If nothing else, a great icebreaker. So are there any succes
  13. Hi guys! So I am at work right now & I'm not wearing any make up! (From the photos I am obviously wearing lipstick but I mean no make up to cover my skin ie foundation or concealer!) I just wanted to share a quick update with everyone, because I'm so so excited about this! I have never come to work without make up on, even before my skin got bad. So this is an AMAZING step for me & my confidence! It's been 2 weeks since I've had even a small pimple & my face is completely cl
  14. I have heard SO many great things about AHA+, but I have also heard not to start using it immediately. I have been on the DKR for 1 month exactly, and I have some AHA lying around, and I was wondering, if it is okay to start using it, and if so, when should I use it, how often, and how should i apply it? (I know that you are supposed to use sunscreen when using this product... So I was also wondering what sunscreens you all would recommend, when and how should I apply that after applying AHA?) b
  15. Hey all, I've lurked on these boards and conducted a fair amount of research here over the years, but I've never been compelled to post until now. I finally discovered an unlikely solution that's actually got my skin feeling healthy and nigh acne free...not bathing as frequently or washing my face! I'll explain in more detail below. Warning: You're in for a long read. I was motivated to detail my history with acne now that I've found a method that's actually working and improving my skin--
  16. It seems like these forums are infected by negative accutane stories. I get it, some people want to share their negative side effects and see if others are experiencing the same thing and sometimes they want to warn others of potential side effects. I think people need hope and need to stop focusing and worrying on side effects that could occur. We want to hear about people who have been off this product for a long time and are doing great. Of course these people who are doing great usually do
  17. Hello everyone! I've decided to start tracking my progress with spironolactone. I've been on it for around two months now and it's already worked wonders for me. I've struggled with very severe cystic acne for a long time now and spironolactone is the only thing that's given me obvious results. Other things have helped improve my situation, or relieve pain, but spironolactone has changed my life. I know two months is a small period of time to take spironolactone and can be hard to judge wheth
  18. Hi Everyone. I have had a crazy experience my my face going out of control on me, it started June 2012. It had cycles. June 2012 - June 2013 it went through all sorts of stages. It started as patches of acne, to big huge patches of acne, to extremely inflamed acne. When I say inflamed, I mean like my whole face felt like it was a puzzle of under ground cyst. I never had problems with acne before, but always used oil free make up. I eat extremely healthy and didn't change my diet. The only
  19. Hi guys. I promised myself that if The Regimen worked for me then I would post on Acne.org so that's what I'm doing I have had acne since I was about 17. The kind of acne that's really under the skin, red bumps; red, peeling, blistering, weeping skin. My skin would crack because it was so irritated. I couldn't wear make-up on it, I couldn't use any face wash or anything like that - it was farrrr too sensitive - and I would NEVER not wear make-up. I was ashamed. After an entire summer of
  20. Hi Everyone, New to the site (well as a member - i have been browsing for about 6 months). I wanted to post something that might give people a bit of hope. Now I know i never had really bad acne scarring, but i did have scars. I broke out badly about 4 years ago and i have attached two pictures of the scars it left. It took about 2 years, but in the end i had almost no scars left - and this improvement came from basically no treatment - just a few mild 30 - 50 % glycolic peels. I at
  21. Hi all, I have been fighting with my acne for years. Looking in the mirror and for the first time feeling my acne is under control and confident is amazing. I want to share with you all, especially all the Australian regimen users what I use and what has worked for me. Please note this is my variation on the regimen. I tried the acne.org cleanser, and moisturiser, however the products I am now using worked best for me. Cleanser - Dr Wood Black Soap . The most gentle cleanser, and really gets
  22. From the album: My Acne

This is my skin almost two months after accutane. I still have quite a bit of pigmentation, but it is slowly healing. I don't wear any kind of coverup most days, and I feel confident going out of the house. I love my skin now and I'm excited to spend my first summer in almost 9 years not feeling so trapped and embarrassed by my skin.
  23. From the album: 30 mg Accutane experience

I thought this was a pretty realistic representation of how my skin is doing 5 months post-accutane. This is the worst that it looks with no makeup, fresh faced. It's not perfect but I'm ever-so greatful for it. I love my self, my skin and my life more than ever right now. I know I've said it before, but I reccomend accutane to anyone struggling with severe acne. It saved my skin. Keep in mind, my skin could probably look a lot better right now. I rarely wash my makeup off (I need to get back to
  24. I got cleared with Accutane about 3 years ago (still clear) and promised myself to write a success story on the forum here but never got to do it. Today I got diagnosed with tinnitus which seems like another complex chronic condition and was reading all the success stories of sufferers and remembered that I used to read the same here regarding Accutane treatments and decided to drop a line of my experience. My girlfriend has also used it so can throw this in as well. So long story short, I h
  25. Hey everyone! I made a video to update on my scar success I had SEVERE acne and left with really bad scars. I never thought I'd be making a video on it saying they have improved and even though it is kinda embarrassing for me to show my before and after pictures, I think its worth it to help and give others hope on improving their scars!!! Subscribe if you want to see new videos bc I do want to keep updating on my scars! xoxo, Mariah Sorry my before picture is blurry AF
