  1. I have been usuing benzaclin for about 5-6 years. It's defiantly helped my skin. But not as much as I hoped for so about 3 years ago I started seeing a naturopath doctor and she put me on holistic supplements to help with my hormones and etc. Thats when I saw the best improvement in my face. Now fast forward to now and I don't really take my supplements anymore but still on my cream. For the most part my face is usually good still get break outs here and there. I'm married and want to start tryi
  2. First I want to start off saying that the Regimen has worked wonders for me. It cleared up about 97% of my acne in the 1.5 years I was on it. However, I decided that I didn't want to be on it my whole life. I also started to see my face age faster than normal. Although I moisturized very well and always used jojoba oil, I could see my face changing. That is when I decided I would try stopping the regimen. This may not work for everyone, but for those who are afraid of stopping or weaning off the
  3. Hey guys! How are you all doing? This is my first post here. I've been battling moderate acne for quite a while (5 years), i'm 19 now. I've tried all sorts of topicals and antibiotics, and I've noticed that Benzoyl Peroxide worked quite well for me. After having used it for a few months, I was 75% clear with the occasional few pimples every now and then, but I had flaky skin and I believed that BP was trapping my oils. I decided to stop using it and look for natural cures. Green tea he
  4. What was once my best friend is now my enemy. In the beginning, benzoyl peroxide helped me prevent acne and get rid of the current acne that I had. Eventually, it caused my skin to become dry and oily at the same time. It happened so gradually that I didn't realize that benzoyl peroxide was ruining my skin. I started using benzoyl peroxide religiously my sophomore year. There were a few times when I would use it on and off, but altogether, I used benzoyl peroxide for 3 years. At first my ski
  5. I have ran out of Minocycline pills and my dad says the pharmacy has not restocked them yet (lol) and i cannot get more pills until the pharmacy has been restocked. I have been off of it for 3 days so far and I would not be surprised if im off of it for more than 1 week. So how long before I start breaking out like crazy ? I have just been noticing some improvement too and I do not want it to go downhill EDIT : ive been using minocycline for almost the past two months, and my skin has no im
  6. Is stopping accutane midway for reasons such as some symptoms being too great dangerous? Maybe not dangerous but say if you were to be seeing good results but not a total acne cured recovery and you started to get paranoid about the side effects; if you stopped, would the acne turn back to normal like when taking antibiotics? Or does the course HAVE to finish? And even after stopping accutane, does its effects still work cuz of the retinol being in the liver??? Its all to do with causing p
  7. Recently I started a topic about scars and one guy told me that there are ways in which I can stop my scars from getting deeper and wider. So my question is that,"Is there really a way to prevent deeper and wider scars?"
  8. Hi, my doctor prescribed me tetracyline 250mg capsules to take for 50 days one every morning and one every night. My acne has almost all cleared away about 95% of it with the occasinal pimple here and there. My question was now that Im on my last week should I start taking one a day?Or should I just keep going and suddenly stop with them?Im 16 and im afraid of my acne coming. Thank you for any advice in advance
  9. I have been using the regimen benzoyl peroxide for over 10 years. I am now 42 and after trying to quit using it twice, the third time was a charm. I have learned a lot about myself and acne during this process. After using this product for such a long time, DO NOT just quit. Reduce the amount you use, for example, if you use it twice daily in a certain amount, reduce either down the amount you use one of the times, etc. I used it twice a day in a quarter size regularly. I reduced down to tw
  10. Hey guys, Just looking for some advice or maybe shared experiences. Anyway I have been on Accutance for about 3 and a half months, all went well in that time pretty much, at the 3 month mark I started getting really dry and red eyes that irritated me alot, at this time my skin was pretty much completely better, I never really had bad acne I would say moderate though it irritated me alot and I would pick at it, oh and I have had back acne which is alot worse then my face for a long time, I forg
  11. OK so unfortunately I was rather busy around the period of time that I should have went in to see a doctor and get a refill on my birth control so long story short, by the time I would have been able to do so I would have missed taking it for 4 days (the start of a new pack, after the placebo week) so I decided that that would be a bit too much for me to try to catch up on so I'm giving my body a one months break from taking birth control. This is the first time I've done this before, I was tak
  12. I have been on spironolactone for almost a year. I was prescribed it for hormonal acne caused by having testosterone pellets inserted. They have worn off, usually lasts about 6-8 months, and my skin seems back to normal. No breakouts for almost 4-5 months now. My question is...... Can I just quit taking the spiro or do I have to taper off and will quiting cause a breakout?
