  1. This morning, I woke up to no new forming pimples, and even better, diminished whiteheads. I was so pleased to see that the popped whiteheads from yesterday healed pretty well, and it doesn't look like they'll be coming back. Thank goodness. The papule near my nose has also shrunk a bit, which is great. I just want to be able to wear makeup today without looking like a bumpy toad. My skin is still extremely dry and flaky, but I'm proud of this progress! This is one of those days on the
  2. Well, I freaked out yesterday, but it looks like my skin is back to progressing. Most of the areas that were popped yesterday are either now red marks or smaller whiteheads, which I'm fine with. It could've been worse! Of course, my skin is also back to its insanely dry, red, and burning routine. Applying the BP is never bad, but for some reason when I put on the 2 pumps of moisturizer (and 5-6 drops of jojoba now ) my skin starts freaking out and stinging like mad. It definitely needs
  3. Day 8 has proven so far to be quite the challenge. First, let me just say that the Regimen is still awesome. My skin is still progressing quite smoothly and at the proper pace However, my skin is definitely feeling the increased amount of BP, and it seems to be purging like no other. I don't really mean that it's breaking out. It just seems to be screaming, "EVERYTHING ON ME WILL DIE A PAINFUL DEATH." So, what's going on with my skin? Time to investigate: 1. I did have a mi

    Epiduo Sting

I have been applying Epiduo for the past 3 nights, all is good. But when i apply the moisturiser after it its stings soooo bad and wont stop. Im just using Cetaphil. Can any one recommend a moisturiser that doesn't sting? If I just leave it I turn in to super dry peely red face :/ I put it on about 40 minutes ago and it still hurting.. I do not like. Suggestions? Thanks
  5. I bet I am one of many people who will say that they have tried almost everything to clear their acne including supplements, prescriptions, products and treatments. So, I started The Regimen on the evening of 10-11-14. I am following the instructions exactly as stated. I can honestly say that the cystic and standard acne has dramatically decreased and any new acne seems come and go much quicker than before. However, I am experiencing some discomfort other than being dry and mildly peelin
  6. I know this was covered couple of years ago but damn the benzoyl is stinging my eyes. At first i thought it was the moisturiser because it only happens when I put on the moisturiser but today I tried a different moisturiser and same thing happened. I'm very careful to avoid my eyes but my eyes water so badly after moisturising. Anyone else experiencinformation this? Is there a way to prevent it? Thank you
  7. I've been on The Regiming for almost 2 weeks now. I use Cerave Foaming Cleanser, Dan's BP, and Cerave PM moisturizer. My skin has cleared up very well and i only get maybe 1 pimple every few days now. The problem is the itching and drying. My skin got really dry and the skin has become rough, ever with moisturizer on. I read the glowing reviews about Jojoba oil and i went to the vitamin store and bought some. The first day i added 5 drops of jojoba oil to my moisturizer and mixed it and then ap
  8. I have been on the regimen for about a year now. It worked for me, all my acne has disappeared. However, every so often specific parts of my face (specifically the side of my left eye and the right cheek) become severely irritated. The skin turns red, it flakes and peels, it stings, and afterwards, there's a slight scar (not sure that I can call it that?) or at least mark (noticeably whiter, elevated skin) left from the irritation. The first time this happened, I tried not putting BP on the i
  9. Hey people, I don't really know why but the BP has suddenly started to sting, I have been using it for the best part of a year now and I used it last night too, but tonight it's just stinging like a bitch! Has this happened to anyone else? I tolerate BP perfectly, usually
  10. Now, it is week 11 of my treatment (and technically week 7 of using adapalene and clindamycin). There hasn't been any major changes. The large pimples I mentioned last time have mostly gone down. There's only one large pimple now and my right cheek has become a bit smoother. Other than that, there's nothing interesting. Also, I forgot to mentioned in the last entry, but I am Asian with medium skin tone that can tan fairly easy. I don't each much junk food as I use to (a bag of chips every
  11. Hello,I pray that you all are feeling well today!I love Acne.org and have been using it since July 2018. It has been the only product to consistently clear my acne! However, I have one concern. When I apply the second step (benzoyl peroxide), the fumes always burn my eyes (I am diligent about not applying it too close to my eyes). Previously, I read that I may just have to get used to using the product, but I've been using it daily (in the mornings) since October 2018 with no relief. The burning
  12. Hello, I pray that you all are feeling well today! I love Acne.org and have been using The Regimen since July 2018. However, I have one issue... When I apply Acne.orgs benzoyl peroxide, the fumes ALWAYS burn my eyes (I am diligent about not applying it too close to my eyes). The burning only persists for about 1-2 minutes (until the BP dries down), but it's still a nuisance to have burning/stinging/watery eyes during each application. Should I be concerned about my (eye) health? Has
  13. This start after i clear my face from acne.. First time I using retonoic acid, actually small amount (less than recomendation) of RA makes my facial skin very sensitive to uv (only feel little bit itchy on the same night when i use it).. i used it maybe about 2 month one night, i try to use it as much as recommendation amount.. but in the next day i found that my face feel stinging and burning that i never feel before.. i suggest it because of sun exposure.. i stop using
  14. Please help! I recently started the regimen. I'm 3 days in. I'm using the reccomended less than half a pump amount of BP and every time I use it I usually get some burning and itchiness when I apply moisturiser but not that bad, until tonight. I did my usual night stuff. Applied BP and moisturiser as normal (I used 1 and a 1/2 pumps of moisturiser) and my usual burning started but this time by the fifteen minute mark it was getting worse instead of better. I had intense but not unbearable tingli
  15. It's my 3rd day on the regimen treatment and my face is stinging. It's not an intense pain so i can handle it but the pain lasts for 3-4 hours after I use it. Is this normal? And my the creases on my face are quite red like under my eyes and between my nose and mouth. Should I expect this ?
  16. I've been on the regimen for about 2 years now (I'm 18) and my skin is getting worse by the day. Using benzoyl peroxide has annoyingly never worked well for me, I have never seen a significant improvement in my skin and a lot of people ask me why I use it, and that is because whenever I stop using it, my skin breaks out like never before. I cleanse my skin in the morning with Johnson's Top-to-Toe Wash, and then exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Scrub, these products work fine with my skin and

I usually spot treat cystics or pustules with the Clarifying Mask after the retinoid and BP/C have dried. AM: Wash with Cerave Moisturizing Cleanser and follow with Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control 30SPF moisturizer first with Cerave PM moisturizer over. Then I put on the Mu
  18. Hi, about a month ago my doctor prescribed the combination of Epiduo and Eryacne. My morning routine is simply to cleanse with a non-comedogenic cleanser, and then moisturise; at night I'm to cleanse, put on epiduo, eryacne, and then moisturise again. My doctor warned me that i wouldn't see any changes within the first 4 weeks or so and that it may cause mild irritation but miraculously the majority of my acne cleared up within the first week and I didn't experience any irritation, I had to stop
  19. Hi, all. I'm using both Duac and Differin mixed together in equal parts and applying them on my face at night. After using the products for about two weeks, I've started to experience a severe burning sensation while using them. I don't know which one causes it, but it feels like my face is on fire, and it doesn't stop stinging for at least an hour! I use all of my medicine primarily for my back, but also my chest and arms. My face is the only part of my body that experiences pain while using th
  20. Hi everyone, As the title says, I am very red and it stings after I moisturize during the end of my fifth week of The Regimen. I've had redness most of the time, but I really am now. I've been catching myself scratching the flakes off at night. Could it be irritation from that? Should I use tons of jojoba oil? I've done DKR everyday, twice a day. Never missed a day. Times varied slightly, but I've done it religiously. It feels like I have a sunburn, but I don't go out very much. Am I allergic?
  21. Hey all I've been on the Regimen for 8 days! Woohoo! Loving it. I do have some questions about the moisturizer though. I'm using the acne.org products, and I noticed that Dan suggests using 2 full pumps of the moisturizer. This really feels like a TON of product. I don't know if that's because the moisturizer is thinner than most, but it takes a long time for all of it to saturate. I feel like 1-1/2 pumps still is more than enough. Also, when I mix Philosophy SPF 30 with it in the
  22. Hi Everyone, WARNING- LONG FIRST POST! I am fairly new to the site, and once I had started reading round I thought I should give the regime a go. I had been prescribed benzoyl peroxide before by my doctors, but gave up when it made my skin so dry! especially using soap before hand as suggested! I recently went back to see if they had invented a new miracle cure. sadly not. I genuinely cried when I came out the doctors as I felt hopeless, and it just wasn't FAIR. Once I got a grip and stopped
  23. I realized today how amazing it is that I don't care about my face anymore. Well, I do, but not as much as I used to. It's quite a relief. For instance, I was running late to work this morning while doing the Regimen (so time consuming), so I slathered on my moisturizer and jojoba and walked outside, a greasy mess. And I couldn't have cared less. The Regimen seems to have worn me out emotionally; I can't be bothered to worry about what others are thinking about my skin. It's great. I ha
  24. I started using Epiduo 11 days ago. The first few days, I thought I'd struck it super lucky. I wasn't experiencing any of the side effects I'd read about. Boy was I wrong! From about day 8 onward my skin felt like I'd thrown acid on it as soon as I used it. Actually, I think putting on my (stupidly expensive) moisturiser is even worse - so painful!! And that would actually be FINE if my face wasn't bright orangey red, peeling, raw AND breaking out. Sooo just wondering, how long can I expect to
