  1. Well here I am. I finally gave in to my doctors urging to take Accutane. I guess I kept avoiding it because I was worried about potential side effects, but after having the worst few months of acne I've ever had in my life... I realized the time had come to just do it already. Oddly enough after having to wait almost 2 months to actually start (between the pregnancy test and blood work and whatnot) my skin right now is actually not at it's worst (but it's still not "normal" by any means...)
  2. Fairlie

    Day 2

Day 2: I started Amnesteem 40mg yesterday! Woohoo! My dermatologist said I would be on it for 6 months, but that in some cases she would let people end after 5. She just doesn't recommend it because she believes that the 6th month is really what helps someone's acne stay away for good. I'm so excited to finally be starting this process. I'm kind of nervous for the initial breakout even though I'd rather it happen sooner than later so I can just be done with it. I don't think I'm experiencing
  3. Hello again old friends I know it's been a very long time since my last review but i have been trying something new out and i wanted to tell you what i thought. If you haven't been reading since my first blog on this website i suffered badly from acne when i was 17/18 years old, i went to the doctors for 3 months medication which slowly cleared up my skin (you can go back and read my full story on my first blog entry). I now like to blog about products that im currently using to help prevent my

  5. Picky Nicki

    Dusting Off

Hey everyone! It is *counts on fingers* day 11 of my journey and despite my little hiccup things have started off again well. Day 9 was VERY difficult, as my picking had all but reversed my small, but crucial progress. Starting again was much more difficult but necessary! My face is healing well, though I leaned heavily on my family with the appearance of a very deep, very large, and very painful zit on my upper cheekbone. Perhaps one of the largest I have ever had, it swelled rapidly and sat
  6. Hi all, I am a 24 year old female fighting against the common enemy- acne. I could go on a long schpeel about how long I’ve had acne for, and the plethora of regimens (natural, store-bought and dermatologist recommended) that have failed to prevail, but I wont. Instead, I want to set aside prior battles with acne and begin a new journey with Dan’s Regimen. I am hopeful that like those who have experienced success before me, I too, will attain clear skin. On a typical day I have mild-moderate
  7. Hey guy's I finished my Accutane treatment on July 12th 2011. It was a 3 month course with a low dosage of 20-30 mg. Now I was wondering when is it a good idea to start a regimen? Is it safe to do so now or should I wait a little longer. Thanks! Edit: Accutane worked great when I was on it but when I was off it for the past 2 month's I started to notice little small pimples coming and going and it's annoying as hell. Mainly around the nose area and the t-zone area, also they turn into little
  8. So my face is finally settled down from the chemical burn I got from using the mask the other day! My skin is still dry in some areas, but it is so much better! Like I said before I am using a wash cloth and only water in my face and so far it's been great in letting my skin calm down! Now it just feels like its getting a little clogged, so I was thinking of going back on my differin. I was put on it a month or two ago and I really liked it at first! However, I had been using it for about 7 week
  9. I'm only 15, I never got any pimples before at least 13, and I couldn't care less about them till this year. I used to use Benzoyl Peroxide every once a while but it just wasn't bad enough to worry about, I was one of those kids that never really cared much about how they looked and didn't bother to style my hair or anything like that. Early this year, I started to kinda worry about it and I started to take more care of my appearance and since it was becoming enough of a problem to actually both
  10. Hey guys, I finally got my package in the mail this afternoon and was wondering when should I start. Should I start tonight and use the BP also, or should I start tomorrow morning so it can be a full day where I could use it both morning and night? What did you guys do?
