  1. Hey everyone!!I've had moderate acne for the past 4 years and after endless medications and prescriptions I have built up the courage to go on Accutane! I've read so so many threads and logs and so many people have had great results! For the past 3 months this summer my acne took a turn for the worst after I got bronchitis and had to take a lot of medication (i thought antibiotics would help me??). Anyway, I've been even more depressed than usual and I barely leave the house so I don't pigment m
  2. Hi , I was wondering when to use the regimen and if my daily schedule will affect it, when I wake up I get ready and go to the gym for 1-3 hours I'm not sure if I should apply the regimens before or after that, I also have academy soccer in the evening and I was wondering if I should apply the regimen right after academy (8:00) or at 10 just before I go to bed.
  3. I am a gay 22 year old male. I've had nodular acne for about 10 years now. Its come to a point in my life now that it has become a hindrance for alot of things in my life. As a young gay male, you want to go out be seen and have fun...not as in being scandalous. I can't wear certain clothing out because it'll show what's covering my body. I have them on my chest, back, hips, and minimal on my neck and glutes. I can't help it but envy alot of the other gay guys :/ being able to be comfortable wit
  4. We are parents with a 14 yr old daughter who is currently on accutane. We also have a 20 yr old daughter who took accutane 7 yrs ago with amazing results, but with some issues post treatment which is the reason for this blog. (see our intro blog here for back-round info: If you are a member or just lurking at acne.org, then you are probably stressing, depressed or just pissed off about your acne. If you're into sports and considering accutane, you are probably worried about what will ha
  5. Hello, a little background on my treatment. I took a cycle of Accutane starting in the spring of 2011 that lasted for about 6-7 months. I cycled between 40 and 60 mg. Too make a long story short, I went through the inital breakouts, lathargy, joint pains, and eventually my skin cleared. Accutane worked very well for me beside the joint pain. I am an ameatur mma fighter (martial arts). I was training during my treatment when I hurt my knee. I felt like the healing process took longer than
  6. hi I'am in high school track and have severe back and chest acne I'am taking accutane and thanks to it my face acne have almost gone away but i have extremely bad acne and moderate acne on my chest. I am confused on what to do with track because the uniforms are tank tops and i dont want anyone to see my back. I have been on accutane since december first and my back has only improved slightly. races where you wear the jerseys start in 2 weeks and i don't know what to do. has anyone ever been in
  7. Hi! I have pretty bad skin (today is my second day on accutane) and I have a lot of red scarring that looks awful like acne + acne. I want to tryout for cheerleading but I am scared because I never even leave my house without having makeup on. I feel like I'm just going to be judged and that is really discouraging to me even though I really want to tryout, but I can't wear makeup to tryouts and if I make it in I won't be able to wear makeup to practice either and I just feel really nervous about
  8. Hey guys, Paul here. I figured I might as well keep a log on here to let everyone know how it works for me and also to remind myself of the journey. A little bit about myself: I just turned 15 recently I play Tennis almost daily, often for many hours at a time in the hottest and coldest parts of the year alike I've been struggling with mild/moderate acne for the past 2 years or so. It's only become relatively bad for the past year and a half, and was at its worst starting about 3 months ago
  9. I've been using the regimen for almost 2 years (almost 3) and I usually only suffer from one or two white heads on occasion. Recently I've not been following the regimen as strictly as I should and I just had a major break out. I roughly counted the number of pimple/zits on my face and currently there are 25 zits on my face. I know the regimen only works when it's followed strictly, but do any of you think leaving make-up on when playing a sport could cause an issue? If so should I just use some
  10. Hello, I'm a student who plays sports on Mon, Wed and Fri every week from 3-6 pm, and usually it's very sunny. This schedule is fixed and there is no way I can change or skip trainings... I was wondering if I do the regimen in the morning, and I get exposed to the sun which causes sweat during 3-6, will the regimen have any effect on my skin? I'm quite paranoid. Will it help if I use sunscreen?
