    Spironalactone and no periods

Hi, I have been on spiro for quite some time but was always on birth control. As I got older I discovered how bad this all is for you so came of birth control and spiro as my skin was doing great. Over time my skin got worse so I decided to start taking spiro again but without birth control.. I’ve been on it for a year or so now and have basically had no periods. I know spiro causes irregularities but this seems extreme and I actually want my periods! Anyone else out there not on bc and have sim
  2. Hello- I had great success with YAZ and Spiro together. I took 100mg Spiro with Yaz. I'm 38 yo, have struggled with acne for what feels like FOREVER!!!! I am so sick of it:( My skin was great off of yaz for about 6 months (still taking 100mg Spiro). It went kind of rogue at that point, with a cyst or 2 per month. I went up to 150mg spiro in October. I really thought it was my miracle worker, and I keep seeing people saying that here, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I take LOTS of supplement
  3. Just wanted to drop by and share my experience with spiro. I’m 34 female who has been struggling with hormonal acne on my jawline(big cysts) on and off for years. I was nervous and skeptical about going on spiro for years despite being told my multiple dermatologists that’s what I needed to be on. I was scared of having an initial breakout and the hormonal changes it would bring. I had read many negative experiences on this site as well that made me delay going on it until 7 months ago when

    Month 2

Week 2: Been taking Diane 35 and Spiro for more than a month now. The good news is that there have been NO new breakouts for over a week now. The bad news is that the old cysts from the initial breakout are taking FOREVER to heal. There are currently twin huge pimples right between my eyebrows, they used to be a trio but the other one dried up and I was able to drain it. In addition to that, the cyst in the corner of my mouth (the largest cyst I've had to date, by the way) is still lumpy u
  5. Hey everyone. I'm suffering in misery and I'm not sure if it's just a regular sickness or if it's side effects of spiro. I saw my dermatologist who prescribed me spironalactone for hormonal acne. I began treatment on march 5th. I started with 25 mg once a day every morning and had no immediate side effects. I did notice I had to pee more than usual but nothing too bad. 2 weeks later on march 19 I upped my dosage to 50 mg. so one pill in the morning and one at night. The next day I had a sore thr
  6. Hi folks, I am beginning my third month of 100 mg spironalactone per day. I'm hoping it will kick in soon. I have read (in The Big Hormone Post) that coffee makes hormonal acne worse. In an effort to reduce my coffee intake, I hope to switch to mate, black tea, and green tea. I understand that avoiding caffeine altogether might be ideal, but this is not realistic for me. Has anyone experienced or read about an improvement upon switching from coffee to tea? Finally, has anyone found that

    Acne is back again

Hi guys/girls something really sad is happenig again. I been taking spiro about a year and it worked awesome for the first 6 months, and the last 6 months I´ve been breaking out for periods, I mean I have 2 weeks clear and then break out again, the curious thing it happens ONLY IN JAWLINE, and it change from left to right. since friday I started to break out again and I consider is the worst of the last 5 times. I must say I never touch my face, I only use dermatological products (approved for
  8. I would like to start by giving a little background on my acne. I started to get acne as long as I can remember especially in my middle school and high school years. I have been to the dermatologist so many times I feel like she knows everything about me. I have been on literally every cream and antibiotic possible (such as spironactalone, differen, tretinoin creams, retinas, clindamycin phosphate) and NOTHING worked for my skin. I had moderate to severe acne, meaning i broke out all over my fa
