  1. I had had clusters of flesh coloured bumps on my forehead for over a year, come and go. I have tried to research on this, and yet to come to a possible conclusion. I have been prescribed acne medications such as clindoxyl gel and retin-a cream to clear up my acne and my forehead with very temporary results, only for my forehead bumps to reappear in 3-4 months. My face for the most part is clear with the occasional hormonal breakout, but these bumps are constant. I eat very healthy and workout at

What Type Of Acne Scars Have I Got?

Hi guys. I've been researching scars and none of them seem to sound like mine. Would anyone seem to have any further info on what type of scarring I have and a possible solution? I have attached some images. Thanks!
  3. Hey this is my first time posting on this website, but i felt the obligation to give you my two cents. This worked for me, and i don't have any research or anything just personal experience. i started taking accuaane about a year ago and I started losing hair during my treatment, I didn't really care (and I'm not being cocky) because I always had THICK hair, I'm half hawaien and half latino, my hair is super straight but very thick, I always got and get complemented ALL the time and i always wor
  4. Hi, all, Has anyone heard of, used, or spoke with someone who has used Theraclear? I went to a new dermatologist back in February and he recommended it because it supposedly has no side effects and is not medicinal. I thought about it and decided against it. Then yesterday, I went to the same office but saw a different derm and she highly recommended it, saying that they currently treat many patients in their office with this machine, have seen great results with it, there's nothing to be sca
  5. I finally feel I am in a place comfortable with my skin, take what you wish and what’s helpful for you. to clarify, ( I may get one pimple a month?) I’ll cut straight to what helped me, I have very dry skin and then sometimes it’s very oily. St Ives Blemish control (wash face once a day at night) do NOT put a lot on your face. If your face feels dry afterwards, you have put on way to much. my moisturizer is Aloe Vera, (this is when I really experienced a huge difference in my skin. My gue
  6. Does this medication cause increased sensitivity to the sun and/or prevent one from tanning?
  7. Hi everyone :-) I'm 17 year old guy who started suffering acne around 14/15 years old...feels like I haven't been able to breath properly since then! Has anyone tried the acne.org products\regime? Sad to say but these products are all I can think of at the moment!!! I just want to have clear skin already, would do anything!! I keep thinking that these products could give me a chance, some reassurance, just, something. I've just recently recovered from my first experience with tonsillitis which

    A SOLUTION FINALLY

Everyone who has been beaten down and suffering from acne whether it be teenage cystic or adult, needs to read this. I'm no stranger to acne. This is my 6th year suffering from it as I crossed the teenage boundary into adulthood at the age of 20. I've tried antibiotics, birth control, natural topical remedies like honey, coconut oil, tea tree oil, and just about every topical treatment you can think of (clean and clear, proactive, BP, retinoids). Let me tell you. READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO TO A DER
  9. Hi everyone, anybody knows what is my acne problem or what is the proper and best way to cure it? My skin used to be clear - the pimples just keeps coming back and some of the scars won't fade away. Would appreciate your help, thank you! *sorry for the scary image btw
  10. I took Accutane 4 years ago. After two years, my acne returned in full force. I was getting cystic acne just like before. I fell back into the cycle of taking antibiotics (minocycline, doxycycline, etc) but I knew that wasn't a permanent solution. I was even considering a second round of Accutane. After seeing how clear my skin could be with the first round of Accutane, I just wanted to have clear skin again! It had been such a blessing not having to think about the blemishes on my face. When yo
  11. I literally have tried every possible solution. I have had acne for over 20 years now and I know first hand the emotional damage that alters your personality and causes terrible depression. Often I have just wanted to die or live alone forever. I have tried every single product on the planet and nothing worked. I was having some other health issues that led me to take a product called plexus. It partly involved a pro biotic and a bio cleanse pill that I took every day. That stared help

    Ween Myself Off Of Celexa

Hi. I have a dilema and was looking for a second opinion. I am currently on the medication Celexa for anxiety, I have been on it for about 9 weeks now. I am also a sufferer of mild acne. I have noticed that since beginning to take the celexa, my acne has been much more persistent. My dilema is, is that I am going on holiday in 6 days and I really don't want to go looking the way I currently do. I usually have relatively clear skin, but this is the worst it's been in a while. I was thinking of
  13. Can the amount of free sugars in food cause acne? I seem to have figured out my problem. I thought I was allergic to fructose so I eliminated sugary foods to cure my acne. I eliminated table sugar and high fructose foods. I eliminated processed sugars, ready to buy items at the grocery stores and red meat. But my acne never went away. Since I thought I was allergic to fructose, I switched to dextrose for my coffee. But turns out, this was also a big mistake. Dextrose actually made my ac
  14. Hey guys! (Accidently just posted this is the wrong forum lol) So basically the aim of my game is to try and help at least one person defeat their acne problems! I am not suggesting using any harsh products like BP or oral medication, I will be suggesting a more natural approach. I have used Proactiv, 5% BP, Neutrogena etc etc. Proactiv was the most effective, but its not exactly a long term solution. I have posted a blog about this, but Im going to keep this one short if thats ok. Had a
  15. Hi there, Been on oxytetracycline (antibiotics) for 3 months now, it has definitely controlled my acne and has reduced. I think my doc is going to take me off them soon. However, I am now worried that once I come off antibiotics all the acne is going to come back again. Does anybody have any long-term solutions to keep acne at bay or get rid of it? p.s. my skin doesn't normally react well to stuff being applied onto it Thanks
  16. (Skip to the middle where it says "importnat part" if you don't care to find out if we've tried similar things or have similar types skin, etc. and you just know you have hormonal stuff going on.)Hello, so I have been using acne.org products for a couple years, loved them, the do help, but it's expensive and time consuming, don't want to buy regular and travel size etc. My mom had deep, deep acne as a kid and still has scars at 53 as we know cystic acne can be genetic My acne is mostly on my chi
  17. So, I've recently stumbled upon a few products that spark my curiosity. I'm always looking for things that are good for my skin and I'm always open to new ways to treat it - however, I'm really tired of all these false claims that drugstore companies are making. "CLEARS ACNE IN ONE DAY," oh sure, tell me more. "KILLS 99% OF BACTERIA!" oh yeah, I bet. "#1 ACNE FIGHTING BRAND IN THE WORLD!" sure, suuuureee. Yet we keep falling for these claims because there's something inside us that believes or
  18. I think I finally found a way to reduce my very stubborn hormonal acne. I am 30 and have been struggling with hormonal acne for as long as I can remember. I usually get them around my mouth and chin, and I get very oily skin in that area. I usually start breaking out at around 2 weeks before my period. Sometimes they get as high as my cheeks and some really hurt (Even recently I started getting cystic acne along my jawline). Unfortunately I have a very bad habit of picking at them especially whe
  19. About 4 years ago I started getting these bumps on my forehead and ever since, nothing has worked for them except accutane. They never seem to go away, and I can no longer be on accutane because of the side effects. I have searched forums and such for help, but it seems like no one else's is quite like mine. Any ideas? Is this even acne? Could it be fungal? I've attached a photo, any help would be great'
  20. Hey, so anyone have any good suggestions for acne aftermarks? Something that makes them fade faster.

    Before and After Transformation

From the album: I can't believe I've found a cure

I've had bad acne since I was about 15, I'm now almost 25. It started as 'bad acne' and moved onto cysts and puffiness, horrible painful lumps under the skin, millions of whiteheads, blackheads, postules, you name it. It felt like a never ending trauma no matter what I did to try to stop it. Treatments I tried and their success rates, from least helpful to most: (I've left out the most trivial things like getting a full nights sleep, drinking lots of water and taking your makeu
  22. Hi, I am a female, 55 kg and have taken Accutane at 20mg for 1 month. I stopped due to joint pain. Six months after the course I am still experiencing joint problems and they have become worse. My joints ache after any activity, they feel dry and click/pop (I have never had clicking joints before). I have had Rhematoid Arthritis blood markers done and some of them came out positive but I do not experience the symptoms associated with it (morning stiffness, joint inflammation etc) I have
