    35 And Still Experimenting.

Okay, yeah it sucked to be 35 and still have acne with pores that were getting larger. It started at 15. It's been a life-long humiliation. And has severely affected my self-esteem. I hated it so bad. I also suffer from OCD, so it's hard to keep my hands off my face. I had it all, black heads, white heads, cystic acne. However; about a year ago, the symptoms started to mutate to something more severe. I started itching head to toe. It seemed to turn into a contact type of dermatitis. I experimen
  2. Hi All, I've been lurking on the forum since July last year and thought I would share my thoughts and experiences on my journey and how I've come to a decision to begin roaccutane (UK). I know many people do not agree with this drug but I am completely aware of it's side affects and have read the booklet and the ipledge programme information already. People often bash others that take roaccutane for mild acne, but just like the rest of you, we suffer too. I can't remember the last time I look
  3. Hi Guys and Girls Was just after a bit of advice on identifying the type of acne scars I have and how to treat them. (pictures uploaded are of the same area, just in different lighting) Bit of background; had pretty bad acne from the age of 14 to 20, pretty bad scarring which healed over time but still have a few lingering marks, bumps and small indents. Any suggestions would be smashing. Cheers
  4. I suffer from tiny bumps on my forehead, temples and cheeks but the bumps are most prominent on my temples and cheeks. I have tried EVERYTHING. Topicals and oral medicines from the derm, spent tons of money on store bought products such as cleansers and exfoliators, tried nizoral, tried oil cleansing, changed hair products, and spent countless hours trying to get rid of these. You name it I’ve tried it They are not like clogged pores or milla, just tiny bumps. I also have a lot of post inflam
  5. Hey there Acne.org users, (all my questions/points are in bold, the rest is just waffling/background info ) I've been browsing these boards a lot recently and 5 days ago decided to start the 'Caveman regime', I've read a lot of mixed feelings towards it on these boards, but can't seem to find anyone specifically writing about the question I have... A little background, i'm 23, male and have suffered with mild acne since I was about 16 - when I was 16 to 18 the acne was at its worst and
  6. The reason people often swear off using oils on their skin is because they're choosing the wrong ones. The chemical composition of the oil they use is especially important- every skin type requires a different ratio of linoleic:oleic acid, and it's your job to find out which one works best for you. As many who are familiar with this topic know, oleic acid is your omega-9 fatty acid, whereas linoleic acid is your omega-6 fatty acid. According to research, "Acne patients have... been shown to ha

    Accutane Side Effects

So I started Accutane about two weeks ago, and I'm only taking 40mg a day, but my side effects have already started kicking in. My lips are obviously really chapped, the corners of my mouth are cracked and if hurts to open my mouth. My scalp is itching so badly that I had to soak my head in Coconut Oil, and my skin is crawling. Another side effect I have is that my ribs hurt? I workout every day, but when I do anything involving my core or even when I lay on my stomach in bed, my ribs ache
