  1. Hey, I am a new acne.org member. I am in a dilemma of choosing an efficient and budget friendly sunscreen for my skin. Provided that I breakout easily and have super oily skin. Which of these is good?
  2. When I was younger I had perfect skin I could even go days without a shower or bath and my skin and hair would still look good. But now I pretty much have to have a shower every morning because I wake up with an oily face and my hair is a mess (It's short hair). Currently I have been using Proactiv for a month and I think my skin has gotten better so I'm going to use it for another month see how it goes. I do go to sleep around 4-5am and wake up an 3-4pm, I could exercise more and eat more
  3. I don't know what to do anymore, every time I think about or look at my skin it makes me so mad. I've tried everything, wasted probably thousands of dollars on treatments only to have my skin break out again, I have acne on my face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. It cleared up pretty well when I was 17 but when I started weight training my skin went mad with breakouts. That's when I went and saw a derm and they prescribed me accutane, I did the cycle and it worked well, but about 3 months aft

    Weird bumps on face

Hello everyone. So, I have a problem with my skin and it's that I have these little colourless bumps on my face. At first it was only on my forehead, but now it's also on my cheeks and on my chin. It looks really bad in certain light, especially in bathroom light and in the sun and also in pictures, which makes me really self conscious (I have linked a picture). I really hope some of you can help me with what it is and how I can get rid rid of it!
  5. Hi! im relatively new to the regimen, i started it a couple weeks ago and made the mistake of using 10% bp, my skin turned red and eventually i had a layer of dead skin that peeled of in large flakes, my skin felt tight and moisturizer did little to help but my acne seems to slowed and such. Im planning on buying from acne.org so i can stop with the hit and misses when buying from the store. As of right now i still get smaller dry flakes on my skin and cannot apply any more bp since i only have

    Extreme Caveman Regimen

Hello everyone, I have had acne for a while now, got it at 13 and now im 17, and it has been persistent. It got bad when I was 15 and I was on a lot of medications at that time to clear it up. They were not working so I then went cold turkey, water only and that helped a ton. I have been doing that since then but just recently I have gone completely caveman (not letting anything touch my face besides my pillow at night). I am on day 4 now and I already feel great about this decision. The itchi
  7. I’ve always had very clear skin but for about a year and a half now I’ve developed these red looking bumps on my face, they’re kind of raised, mostly flat, they don’t itch or anything and they don’t seem like pimples. It also seems like it’s undernesth my skin. Someone told me it’s the bacteria that causes acne on my face but they recommened me a $100+ product. I’ve switched my products time and time again, I use home remedies, they won’t go away. People tell me it could be due to stress? But I’
  8. Hey people, I don't really know why but the BP has suddenly started to sting, I have been using it for the best part of a year now and I used it last night too, but tonight it's just stinging like a bitch! Has this happened to anyone else? I tolerate BP perfectly, usually

    Acne not leaving

I had mild acne, so I was prescribed minocycline 100mg a day along with other home remedies. I have been doing this for 5 months and saw little improvement so my dose was increased to 200mg a day along with retin a. I exercise daily, no dairy, moisturize, change sheets every 3 days, plenty of water along with vitamin A and C supplements. My acne has seemed to be getting worse recently and I feel hopeless. Any ideas?

    December 14th 2016

So this is my first entry, and I think I should start with who I am. Maybe this will help you relate and maybe stuff that helps me will help you! So I'm a 21 year old girl with not too severe acne but enough acne to lower my self-esteem. My journey so far: I had baby skin throughout puberty. Like. My skin was epic. Beautiful. Made from the gods. Okay, maybe not that good but you get the picture. And then it slowly said "F you UnspoiledDude, F you!" and changed into this mess of a skin.
  11. I have very very very dry skin, it looks really bad, looks like im shedding, i don't want to wipe the dead skin off because i don't want to irritated my acne. Right now my acne is very bad, im afraid the dead skin is clogging my pores more. Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you!

    Caveman Routine (Teenager)

So today I started the caveman regimen, day 1. Background: I'm 14 and I've had bad skin for about 3 years, it worsened when I started using tap water to wash my face. my acne is light to moderate and I suffer from it mainly on the centre of my face, I get whiteheads and blackheads on my forehead and nose, I also get cystic acne on my chin.. I often pick at my skin which just makes it worse and harder to cover. I have oily skin which is either because of hormones, or from the products I have use

  15. I have had red blotches on my cheeks for months. They are completely flat and on the same spot on each side of my face. They only flare up when I drink tea, shower, or look downward. When I wake up in the morning my skin is completely clear what are they and how do I get them to go away? Also I eat a very healthy vegan diet and rarely drink or wear face makeup. I use a cleanser that my dermatologist recommended but it still hasn't helped. Here's some pictures http://imgur.com/mmyqXxD http://
  16. I've had acne for pretty much all my life I'm 23 now and for the last 5 years I have thought about my acne literally everyday, hour. I go to sleep every night hoping it will disappear and never does, I drink so much water and wash my face twice a day. It has stopped me from doing so many things . I constantly look in the mirror and am so disappointed with how I look, thinking why can't it end, I cannot move on in life until it does, and even when I don't have a breakout my face still looks so r

  18. Hello! So I recently switched up my regimen because my other one was just simply washing with a gentle wash and thats it.. it wasn't giving me the consistent skin I'm looking for.. Now I've been using a couple things. - Washing with Vichy 3-1 scrub (I pat it on, only actually exfoliate with it 2-3x a week) I pat it on morning and night. Its clay, glycolic and salicylic acid. - Toning cheek and nose pores with simple toner (mostly witch hazel) - Spot treating with 100% aloe gel on new
  19. Everytime I use salycilic acid on my face it makes me look suntanned. I did some research on the topic and read that salycilic acid can cause mild hyperpigmentation! I thought this was interesting because it clears your skin of acne and makes you look tanner at the same time, all without the risks of tanning beds. Has anyone else noticed this after using salycilic acid?
  20. Hello guys I need advice. I've struggled with acne a couple of years now and it does seem to get worse. My genetics have apparently blessed me with large pores and bad skin in general (see attachments). I've tried the regimen but it didn't help. It made my skin more oily and the pores more visible. Pore strips have a rather negative reputation since many people say that they only make the pores larger, something which I absolutely don't want to happen. Can you give me advice on products

    Day 28

Day 28 - Same as yesterday, I had to wear full coverage make up so I ended up using my dr. jart bb cream. After I took it off, I had 8 more new clogged pores which I picked out. Got out 7 clean and easy and clear, but one of them I broke skin. Its gonna scab. Ugh. dr jart silver label u are horrible. It doesn't last that long either. it looks good for the first 2 hrs. and then it starts cracking. not flaking, but little tiny cracks everywhere, like a dry desert floor. I think my skin oil dissolv

  24. Have just been told that UK has almost no Skinoren in any pharmacies as manufacturer isn't sending it out and it could be months before we get any. I'm planning to buy some on the net in the meantime in case it is a while before I can get some on prescription again and my GP is hoping that he can prescribe me the next best thing. Will this be Finacea gel, do you think? I know they both have Azelaic acid in them but I thought that Finacea is mainly used for Rosacea, not acne?
  25. i have red spots and i want to conceal them but because of the peeling skin it is hard as it looks cakey and during mid day my skin just becomes flakey and i can't put make up on it again. Also how long does these red marks from acne take to fade? Im scared to use natural acidic products as my skin is still sensitive and my derm gave me products to use for my face (own company made, quite good) so should i buy my own products to help lighten my red marks? if so any recommendations?
