  1. Hi! I’ve been having this issue for quite some time now and can’t figure out a solution! Any suggestions would be helpful(: i LOVE wearing makeup, but I always get this scaly, rough, bumpy patch on either side of my nose (I’ve inserted a picture). Without foundation, my skin doesn’t look or feel rough or bumpy in that area. Does anyone know what this is/ how to solve this problem? Not sure if it’s more a skin issue or a makeup issue? I’ve tried SO MANY foundations and primers but I get the sam
  2. Hey guys, I'm here to share my story about Retin A damage. I used Retin A for 2 months (exactly 12 uses) and it destroyed my skin. I had very nice skin before this happened and was only given Retin A as a preventive against aging and for a few chin breakouts. It has caused huge pores, orange peel texture, dents, lines, cracks, dehydrated, dry, molted skin with a shiny film covering it. I'm extremely depressed about this, but I'm still hopeful that this damage can be fixed. I'm just short of 3
  3. Hi everyone, This is my first post. Im at my wits end. Please ignore my username. I was just so desperate to join the forum i just let the computer generate one. ill get to the point with...ill try to be short. I have sh**ty skin. Mainly on my back and top of arms/shoulders. I had acne in my teens and early 20s. I am olived skin/tan. I have dark pigment from this. Ive been told so many different things. Ill just call it pigmentation. I have these small raised skin colour or white scars. My
  4. Hey guys My regimen (listed below) has gotten me clear for the most part (I can handle the odd white head from stress/late-night rehearsal/alcohol) but my skin texture without makeup is really awful on my chin - where my acne has been concentrated for the most part. I only use Differin every other night or so, but I feel like it has done nothing to improve my red marks and I feel like it's turned into teeny-tiny rolling scars. It's really only evident when I smile, but my chin feels bumpy, r
  5. Ok so I’m an idiot. I had some mild acne on my cheeks like 4-5 pimples on each side and they usually come up only during finals which I don’t mind, but since a lot of my family members kept pointing it out and asking what was wrong i got sick of it & decided to use benzoyl peroxide 5% which a dermatologist told me to get a while back. Anyway i applied it and then waited till it dried then applied some moisturizer & it was fine. next day i had some redness didnt think much of it so I appl
  6. Hey, everyone. I'm new to Acne.org and this is my first topic. I'm using Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5%), and it's working great for me. The only problem is, it causes peeling despite the low percentage. I think I might've used a little too much on the bridge of my nose, so my older skin peeled off. I have younger and smoother skin on that area now, but around it is the rest of my dull old skin. It's kind of weird having bright radiant skin in one area. It kind of stands out from the rest. The texture o
  7. Have a skin problem on both sides of my cheeks it looks really bumpy and raw don't really know what caused it or what it is. Any products that I can use to treat it.
  8. Hello everyone! I never had acne all my life, but for some reason about 5 months before my 22nd birthday, I started breaking out. I tried absolutely everything. I have really big pores and very oily skin, which makes me break out quite a bit (nothing severe, but pretty annoying). My doctor put me on Tactuo. I used it 2 nights in a row and used less than the recommended dose. I didn't use any last night. Now, my skin burns like crazy. This morning I washed my face gently and applied moisturizer
  9. I just had my 3rd. TCA Peel (12.5%), and was simply wondering whether everything is as they ought to be. Have yourself a gander at the following three photos, and tell me what you think (I actually had some frosting during the 2nd. peel as well, but nowhere near the outcome this time around). My thanks.
  10. Hi guys, I need advice or help regarding an extremely stupid mistake i made that might have ruined the skin on my forehead. My friend was prescribed Benzac Benzoil Peroxide 10% wash & Clindoxyl for acne on his face and body due to chemotherapy treatment he has been going trough the last few months. One evening i noticed i had 4 pimples on my forehead which has up until early April always been smooth, normal and acne free. I freaked out and with complete ignorance decided to lather on t
  11. I've been on the Regimen for a year now, and I've seen ok results. I wouldn't be going off of it if I weren't going to college soon, and it'll just be in the way there. I'm going to try Accutane, and I was wondering what I could expect from switching. I think I'll stay with the cleansing and moisturizing, and I've been doing BP only in the mornings for about 6 months now, so I should I expect a big breakout? I switched to less BP because I couldn't handle the dryness, and I'm wondering whether I
  12. Hi everyone! First post here, I was wondering if anyone could help me with some issues I'm having that I'm pretty sure are related to Rosacea, and/or sun-damage. I'm 24, male, and I've had facial flushing for awhile now but never thought about it, my dermatologist said it was rosacea (I already figured it was but that just confirmed it), and not Lupus. I have a butterfly pattern of redness (flushing?) that is under both my eyes (between my nose and my cheeks), and on the bridge
  13. Hi! im a 19 year old female who's been dealing with severe acne since the age of 11 or 12. I've tried absolutely everything to get rid of it or at least lessen the severity of it- Dermatologist visits, diet change, exercise and lifestyle changes in general, topical and oral medications prescribed by dermatologist, OTC ointments and cleansers and masks and scrubs and exfoliants and on the spot treatments , I drink a ton of water every day, change my bed sheets and pillow cases almost daily, and a
