  1. Hey all, I've lurked on these boards and conducted a fair amount of research here over the years, but I've never been compelled to post until now. I finally discovered an unlikely solution that's actually got my skin feeling healthy and nigh acne free...not bathing as frequently or washing my face! I'll explain in more detail below. Warning: You're in for a long read. I was motivated to detail my history with acne now that I've found a method that's actually working and improving my skin--
  2. What shampoo and soap is the best to use for people with bad acne? When showering should you soap yourself first and then wash your hair with shampoo last, I feel if I wash with shampoo first, then there is more time for shampoo on my face to aggravate my acne?
  3. Okay, I'm the creator of this blog, I'm new to this, so I have no idea what I'm doing or if anyone's going to see this, hopefully a lot of people will.. I'm on day 13 (my first -and hopefully only- cycle) of taking Accutane. I feel like I've had minimal side-effects so far, just dryness, and lately I've felt extremely tired, even though I've been getting a normal amount of sleep (7-ish hours per day/week on average). I wanted to let my body adjust to the medication before I started working
  4. I recently got prescribed .025% tretinoin for my back acne. I usually shower at night, but my doctor advised me to wash the cream off in the morning. Am I supposed to shower twice? or do I switch to showering in the morning?
  5. I have just started using the body regimen and I have one question. Typically I do the body regimen in the morning. I shower in the evening and wash by body including acne infected areas with soap. Then, right before bed I do the body regimen again. My question is on the regimen should I keep washing by body with soap when I shower? Or should I skip washing my body with soap and just do the regimen while I shower instead of washing my body with soap in the shower and then doing the body regimen
  6. So this so far has been my first post, as it's the first question I've had after reading this forum for some weeks waiting for my Regimen kit to come in the mail. It finally came yesterday, so I'm getting started right away. So far I understand the face regimen is twice a day...but does it matter for the backne/neckne regimen? I can only really get myself to shower once a day max, and if I absolutely have to do it twice to wash my back/neck, I can get a shower cap (my hair really doesn't li
  7. Hello all. I am a 16 year old high school male, I can remember having at least some pimples all the way back to 5th grade. Once middle school came around I would get a lot of pimples on my forehead because i had long hair, i was never very concerned with this. Toward the middle of my freshman year I began seeing my pediatrician for acne. He prescribed benzoyl peroxide and deoxycycline. I would take the pills moderately and used the cream a fair amount, however at the time my acne was never reall
  8. 10. So 2 months ago I posted this http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/352179-painfulirritating-arm-pimples/ Since then I have diagnosed with Acne Dysmorphia by my psychologist hence sounding very dramatic in that post haha. Everyone tells me that my body acne is fine and should not effect me in any way unless I let it. However I constantly feel like I have no idea what I'm doing in regards to treatments and washing in which I have changed my routine MANY times over 2 years. If I start feeling
  11. Hey guys! So I noticed that Dan said to shower in the AM, and was wondering what the reason for that is. I happen to shower in the PM, but I would change to AM if it meant clearer skin! If anyone knows, please reply! Thank you
