  1. Hi Everyone I don't normally do these type of write ups but I thought I should share my success with fellow icepick scar/acne pit sufferers. I managed to get a private/NHS referral to see a dermatologist at Hammersmith Hospital in London where I had one treatment of TCA Cross. This was in October 2013. I am writing this post now because over the past month I have received a lot of positive comments about my skin. In the first few months after the treatment I thought the scars looked wi
  2. Hello I have been using the derma roller 1.5 for acne scars for 6 months now, and 5 days ago used Tca face peel 12% and im barely getting any peeling, my question is what should be my wait time, I usually wait 2 months in between to derma roll my face , now that im using 12 % tca face peel how long does it take to heal cause its already been over 2 months since I derma rolled but I don't know if I should since I just just tca face peel, and also I don't think I have sensitive skin at all because
  3. I assume so but just wanted to make sure that that's who to go to. (I used to have a dermatologist but he's not practicing anymore so I'll have to find a new one). I have a lot of ice pick scars that I'd love to get rid of and my last dermatologist told me they were very mild so don't worry about it until my skin is totally clear. My skin is pretty clear now other than a few breakouts here and there but I'm still left with these scars.
  4. Hello, So I finally found a place to discuss ssomething that has been bothering me for years. I am 27 year old male living in Bangalore and I ve had acne since high school. Although now I dont get acne anymore my face is still a reminder of my struggle with acne. Over time the scars have become permanent . I mostly have ice pick scars with pigmentation. I am entering a new phase in my life and feel its time I get rid of them. I was searching for good dermatologists but could no
  5. I am definitely a chemical peel buff - I just got done doing a TCA 20% peel and the results I got are AWESOME. Serious reduction in the life cycle of any breakouts I may get..if any..more even skin tone and all around rejuvenated looking skin. I left the peel on for only 20 seconds and the whole peeling/renewal process was over within 4-5 days...my skin really settled into itself after a full week and now i can say that my facial skin is much, much smoother and more easy to apply sunscreen or ma
  6. For years now I have had a little bit of scaring on both my cheeks. I have a few scars that are a cross between ice pick and box. They aren't too deep because I can see the bottom of the scar and stuff, but still deep enough and big enough to notice.I keep reading things about msm cream and it helping acne scars. I was curious if anyone has experience with trying msm and it either helped them or didn't?
  7. In the past couple months my acne seems to be vanishing. I've been using Noxzema lathering face cleanser, and it works wonders for me. I use clean and clear dual-action moisturizer w/salicylic acid. haven't started using a toner yet, but i plan to, just to downsize my pores... maybe need to find a good product for that too, if you can help anyways, even though my acne has calmed down soo much to the point where i don't get those annoying under-the-skin pimples... i am now left with thes
  8. Hey people, Look...I never knew about this site until recently when I thought I'd try and do something about my Acne Scars on both of my cheeks. Im a 26 yr old male and had real bad Acne since high school. The big cyst like acne...I was young and dumb so everytime I'd break out id pop them instantly. In college...I did Accutane and I remember my face broke out like crazy. Either way...what Im saying is I have a TON of bad acne scars...which covers basically both sides of my face. Just from goo
  9. Hello DermWorld, I am a 30-yo male. I've always had low-grade puritic acne (at least since obvious puberty at age 11-12-- 1.5 yr "obvious acne" before pub [Tanner 3ish]), but self-treated with pressured expulsion and OTC face creams. I accidentally recieved a facial abrasion "just the right tip of my nose" (>1cm in diameter) due to a ####ing roadhog while riding my bike in the the SC mountains. ... That's all very unremarkable... To make this interesting, I'm considering a dermaroller o
  10. Hi, I’ve posted before, but in the last year I’ve gotten more scars. What type of treatment do you think is best for me. I don’t want to do a treatment if it might make things worse, what is the best treatment for pitted scars, like the ones on my forehead and in between my eyes? Also, I’ve been on spironolactone and using epiduo forte. My face has gotten kind of pale, and I get that that’s part of it, but seeing as getting sun is not a good option, does anyone have a self tanner recommend
