    Tretinoin

Hey I'm an 18 year old boy. Started my tretinoin 0.05% 2 months ago. I just wanted to make this blog for people on the medicine. To talk about their success, failures, problems socially, and other acne-related stuff. So far through 2 months I would say I have seen pretty decent improvement in my "post-acne" marks and some of the still remaining breakouts. The texture of my skin is definitely getting better as I have seen. I definitely want to see more improvement going forward. I've had acne sin

  4. Hey Guys, Veteran member here. Ive been battling acne since I was a teen, cant remember how young now. I've had 2 courses of accutane and tried numerous topicals. Around 26-27 yrs of age, my acne became very mild and manageable. I've just had my first child, and my skin has steadily gone downhill since giving birth. I am 11 months post-partum and my skin looks the worst it ever has. Over the last 6 months i have tried proactiv, PC BHA 2%, PC BHA 4%, (no BP as this is too damaging to m
  5. I have not dried out to much from Retin A since I started about 2 months ago. But i do still get alot of breakouts. So I have decided to use a mild acne scrub in the morning instead of Cetaphile. All I really want to know is if salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in the morning will interfere with the effectiveness of the retin-a at night? Also are there any steps of the regimen that I could use in the morning while using Retin A.
  6. I'm a 17 year old girl with oily skin and have been on the 0.005% Retin-A cream for over a year now. It's worked pretty well to clear up my cystic acne. However, I still have blackheads around my nose area (t-zone) and hyperpigmentation. I've read that baking soda is a great solution to both of these problems. I know that I'm not really supposed to exfoliate while on retin-a, but my skin is not easily irritated as I didn't suffer from any of the redness, irritation, or flakiness that I thought I

    Ughhhh

Does anyone have any clue to why I'm breaking out so bad using Retin A?
  8. Hey guys just a few quick questions. I have been on Retin-A micro 0.1% for 9 weeks now. For the past 2 1/2 weeks now i have been completely acne free! But by the end of today I now have about 3 white heads and two cystic pimples . So my questions are: Is it normal for breakouts this late in the process? Would it be good to use another acne fighting medication in the morning, now that my skin has adjusted to Retin-a micro? And does acne become immune to Retin-a after a period of tim
