  1. First I want to start off saying that the Regimen has worked wonders for me. It cleared up about 97% of my acne in the 1.5 years I was on it. However, I decided that I didn't want to be on it my whole life. I also started to see my face age faster than normal. Although I moisturized very well and always used jojoba oil, I could see my face changing. That is when I decided I would try stopping the regimen. This may not work for everyone, but for those who are afraid of stopping or weaning off the
  2. Hi. So I haven't posted anything on this forum in quite awhile because I haven't really needed to. HISTORY: I began getting mild acne around 3 years ago, mostly just whiteheads. Over the course of 2 years my acne got irritated and discolored. I wasn't happy. So let's start with around 2 years ago. I first started using Benzoyl Peroxide 0.1% for my acne in the fall of 2011. Though my acne started to subside, nothing drastically changed. In March of 2012 I decided to try the Acne.org Regimen.
  3. Hi all, Not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot (new user here) and I just wanted to ask anyone who has used the Regimen, should my skin be burning from the benzoyl peroxide? I've been using it for 2 weeks (this is my second I think) and I've just upped the dosage of BP and now my skin is starting to burn and feel tight, as if I've been badly sunburnt. Thing is, I've used BP before (years ago) and it was 5% and nothing like this happened. So is this just normal? It just burns.
  4. Hi everyone, This is my first post on Acne.org although I first discovered the Regimen back in 2008. I just wanted to introduce myself, and share my experiences with you guys. I'm a 28 year old male who has suffered with Acne since I was in my teens. I started my regimen journey 5 years ago using Brevoxyl 4% cream as it was readily available from chemists and pharmacies here in the UK. Right from day one I noticed a marked improvement to my skin, and continued to use the cream for 3 y
  5. So I've decided I'm going to follow the regimen precisely. Recently I've jumped in to the full benzoyl peroxide dosage charts and my face has literally felt like a statue! My aim is to be clear for when I go to China on a school trip in October. My name is, well just call me clear, and I love cats. I'm also fairly sporty and enjoy football (come on you R'sssss). As I'm a Britain the price for ordering the Acne.org products is horrendous, so ive bought products from stores, here they are; C
  6. Hello all, I'm not new to acne.org but i am new to AHA+. I haven't started using it yet, i just ordered some today. Hopefully it will arrive within a week. I've been on the Regimen for 4 weeks now. By the time the AHA+ gets to me i will be starting my 5th week on the regimen. Just to give you a little background on my acne. I have moderate acne. I started the regimen 4 weeks ago. I would usually get 4 to 5 zits on my face at a time. But now that i have been on the regimen for a little o
  7. Hello everyone! I really want to buy the regimen, I've tried everything on my face but nothing works anymore! I have a really oily skin, especially on my cheeks and I've been suffering of acne since I was 12 (I'm 16 years old now). The problem is that I don't have a serious acne, I mean it's not that big. I used to have it on my forehead but it's completely gone now (exept for those unexpected pimples ugh) but on my right cheek I got some scars and that's where the acne works a lot. But I'm not
  8. I've been on the regimen for about two months or longer and have seen little to no improvement at all, for about a week at one point i was clear and right now its the worst its ever been. I am not 100% sure but from research im guessing i suffer from hormonal acne as I am a guy and my face is COMPLETELY clear but my jawline/chest/back are absolutely disgusting (worst being jawline). I have been experimenting with other things on the regimen on the way through which is probably frowned upon i sup
  9. I don't really expect much help, I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat as me... but here it goes. Like a year and a half ago, a little more, I had a completely clear back with very occasional acne, but my face has always been a problem for me. I have followed Dan's regimen RELIGIOUSLY on my face for the last 6 years of my life. Buying his products, and using them as intended. My face would be in the same predicament as my back had I not done this, but my face is basically clear and s
  10. I am from the UK and recently purchased the range of regiman face product. I wanted your opinions on how effective this product actually is in comparison to anything else. I am also on differin right now, but I need something for the morning too and thought this would help. Having gone through some of these pictures, I saw success in all of you beautiful people. I am not happy with my apperance and wish to cleanse my face with acne, so please divulge any information regarding this product. R
  11. Hey, so I've been on the regimen for around 2 months and im starting to clear up a bit. My skin no longer gets irritated nor red when I apply the benzoyl peroxide, but it does when I put on the moisturizer. I wait for around 15 minutes in between applying the BP and moisturizer. The moisturizer Im using is specifically for acne skin. Is this normal and is there any way to avoid this? Thanks
  12. I am 15 years old and i recently found out i have acne vulgaris and alot of zits all over my face, especially on the cheeks to my forehead and chin. In the past i have little acne yet i thought proactiv would heal my acne. It was the worst decision of my life especially when i had decided to stop using it. When i had been using proactiv, my skin was clear but when i had stopped using it my acne just burst. Ever since then i have used everything literally. I've tried coconut oil, natural organics
  13. Hello! I've read some of these posts before but now I have a question that has not already been answered here. I'm 16 and I have what I think is moderate acne. I just started my period over the summer and suddenly have bad skin, when it used to be pretty much completely clear. I usually get spots (and have old red marks...) on my cheeks, chin, and jawline now and it really doesn't look nice. So, I decided to go to the dermatologist 3 months ago where he gave me "Adapalene cream 0.1%" to
  14. I'm new to the Regimen, I'm on my third week and my face is burning and bright red. It feels kind of tight, but it seems like the moisturizer is keeping my face soft. I think that these side effects should go away soon, but do you think my face will stay red? When I was on Retin-A, I had such a red face, and after I stopped using it, the redness subsided. Do you think that while I use the BP my face will stay red, like it used to?
  15. Hello Acne.org community! It's been nearly 4 years since I last visited this site. For the past eight months, I've been using The Regimen. AND I'M CLEAR!!! I urge you to try The Regimen. It's no secret. It's just the best I've ever experienced. Seriously. (Obviously it's dependent on you, but) this stuff really works! I'm not paid by Dan, acne.org, or any third party vendor, etc etc. IT F***ING WORKS! I want you to be clear. So you can hear me out if you want. I'll tell my brie
  16. I've just ordered the Clenser and Moisturizer to do the Regimen because I currently have BenzaClin (aka Duac) . It contains 1% clindamycin phosphate and 5% benzoyl peroxide. I was prescribed this for my day treatment and Retin-A for nights. I was thinking should I use both of these as prescribed as my treatment options for the Regimen? Perhaps use only the BenzaClin as it is closer to the Regimen's recommended treatment (though stronger) or invest in the Regimen's treatment of 2.5% BP? Has anyo
  17. I'm looking to order some more products and if there is anyone in Toronto that would like to share shipping, let me know!
  18. Good evening, Since my 12th I have been suffering from Acne. Now I am in my twenties and every morning its a suprise whether there is something new on my face. Its not terribly bad, but I am tired of it. I've bought the moisturizer and Cleanser from Acne.org and I use a 5% Benzylperoxide formula from the local pharmacy. The results have been very positive, I can recommend it to everyone. I'm looking for a pharmacy to mix my 5% with a neutral product to make it 2.5%. I hope I can find some Du
  19. Hey guys .. I have a problem. After using the regimen, my skin has become more oily and more darker. I use this product for almost 3 months. Although the first day I used it, my skin becomes darker. I stopped using this product for almost 2 weeks, then I can see my skin color back to my natural skin tone and less oily. BUT since I use the regimen, my acne became less and prevent it from popping up. No doubt. Recently, I continue to use this product because my pimple started to appear again.
  20. The regimen gave me a ton of problems while I was on it. Though it did help clear up my acne to some degree, I never got to the point that I was completely clear. Before I continue I'd like to say that this was just my personal experience with the regimen- it could very well work great for you, but for me... it was hell. I was on the regimen for around 6 months. It's now been another 6 months since I quit the regimen. I'd also like to add that I was on an oral medication for acne, Solodyn, while
  21. Hello. I've been on the following regimen for about 3.5 months now and have not seen the results I was expecting by now: AM: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser Aczone (dapsone) gel on acne spots Minocycline oral pill Garnier SPF 15 moisturizer PM: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser Retin-A .05% Minocycline oral pill Should I give this more time or switch it up? Also, is the SPF 15 in my moisturizer (that is supposed to last all day until washed off) enough to protect my skin since I'm
  22. I have decided to start my own personal log, having gathered so much helpful information over the last few years from content others have posted on here. It will also be a great way for me to record my own progress and thoughts. First the boring stuff... I'm a 20 year old male from New Zealand, and have had mild to moderate acne on my chin and forehead for the last 5 years or so. I have tried literally every over the counter product including clearasil, cetaphil, proactive, clean and clea
  23. Hello! I'm 5 weeks into the Regimen. I ordered more moisturizer which should arrive in a few days (hopefully), so I've just been scraping out the remnants of the one I have now and using extra jojoba. Is this okay to do? I did notice my face is a little redder than it normally is. I just don't feel like dropping money on a drugstore moisturizer. Thanks!
  24. The regimen is effective. It can keep my skin clear. But it's a constant battle between dry/flaky skin and oily/over-moisturized skin. Life on the regimen is annoying to say the least. It takes an extra hour to get ready in the morning and at night for bed. I hate walking around like my face is wet paint; if any gets too close to my face, I freak out. I'm going to college next year and I don't want to bring the regimen with me. I know if I stop using it, i'll break out bad. The regimen and c
  25. I have been on the regimen for a month now, my skin has improved abit, i dont break out so much anymore, my skin is red and dry tho. I am going to London this monday with my class, monday to friday. This means it will be almost impossible for me to keep up with the regimen, since i am going to live in a small hotel room, with 5 other dudes.. what will happen if i skip the regimen for those days? will i lose all progress, and start breaking out like crazy? and will i have to start all over wh
