  1. ok so ive had acne for about 2 years now and i didnt really care at all at first. in fact i dont even rememebr what my acne was like when i didnt care because i never looked in the mirror and when i did i didnt care about what i saw. this was in 8th grade and now im a sophomore in high school. anyways im starting the caveman regimen once again. i tried it before a couple weeks back but i only made it to 11 days and then i washed my face. anyways im going to try and go a fulll month this tame may
  2. Hi, everyone. I'm using the regimen for almost a month now. And I'm getting very positive results. The only thing is my skin in the jawline area is always dry, the moisturizer doesn't seem to be really working on that particular area but I use more moisturizer and other moisturizer when I'm out so that's not really my problem. My problem is what can I use on my face for the upcoming winter? I know the regimen's moisturizer won't be enough. I live in Canada and it usually gets up to 40 degre
  3. Sooo I made this account just to start this topic because I took a picture of my skin today and it looks soo bad. I started the caveman regimen a little more than 3 weeks ago and yes i know I should at least try it out for 2 months but i really need some advice (feel free to ask for background etc). Any advice would be helpful please. this is how my skin looked before i started doing the caveman regimen so around 3 weeks ago and this is how it looks right now
  4. So my acne is pretty bad and I simply cannot consider going lighter on the makeup per Dan's suggestion because sheer make up will not cover anything--- I used to use Paula's Choice clear system which includes a salicycid acid exfoliant that I applied with a cotton ball after washing my face with my hands and then using a clarisonic--- these steps were insuring that I removed all my makeup but they were not GENTLE so I know I need to stop them.... I just started the regimen and the gentle washi
  5. So I have been using the regimen for around 1 1/2 months. I have had success but I still have some clogged pores and maybe one or two small pimples. Unfortunately, every time one pimple goes away it seems that another one sprouts up in a different place, so I decided to start using AHA. First, I am just wondering it is OK to put AHA on even if I still have a few pimples. Just to let you all know, I have only been doing half AHA and half moisturizer cause I dont want to breakout. Second, when I u
  6. I am on the regimen. My skin is not fully clear. However, I am keen in bleaching my skin abit. Can I bleach my skin while I am still on the Acne Regimen? If yes, how should i go about doing it? Like are there specific products/brands that I can use? Thanks. Constructive answers are appreciated.
  7. I just got the system and I used two pumps of the moisturizer as indicated, however I have oily skin and woke up a bit greasy. Does anyone use less of the moisturizer than suggested? Also, there was no sting from the dime sized amount of BP. Should I up the amount used even though I'm in my first week?
  8. So I've been using the acne treatment for four days now, it's actually been pretty good so far however I started getting flaky skin on my third day of using it, cheeks, nose and chin. I've been seeing a lot of post about the flaky skin or peeling but those people have been on the treatment for weeks already and I don't even have a week yet. Is it too soon to get that reaction? I've been using the product exactly how they said. I just wanna know if it happened to anybody else so soon or should I
  9. Hello everyone! Im on my 2nd week using the regimen. My acne is getting worse and not getting any better. Pics included but please don't be hard on me. I am thinking twice posting these and the pics. I am religiously doing what is told but my acne got worse. With full revenge! I am having dry skin though I moisturize with two full pumps and still flaking. I only have 5-8 zits before but now is depressing. Should I stop the regimen having this outcome on 2nd week?
  10. I started using the regimen January of 2015. And stopped later summer of that year. When i started using it again this January, it didn't really gave a lot of difference to my skin as it did when i used it the first time last year. And when i started using the AHA this spring, it gave me allergic reactions to it. At first, i really doubted that it was from the AHA so i stopped using it just to be sure. And my allergies was gone. The puffiness and the redness of my face was gone. So i started usi
  11. Hello everyone, I just wanted to give a little update of my 4 month journey with this regimen. Quick background story: Hormonal acne, mild and I was on the pill Yasmin for more than 10 years, stopped, had a bunch of acne, tried a bunch of "natural" treatments, didn't stick to a routine, got scared, went back on the pill, it was horrible and now I stopped it again, 6 months ago, promising to stick to the Acne.org regimen. For the longer version, check http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/35
  12. So a little backround, I am an 18 y/o female that has had mild yet consistant acne for the past 4 years. I don't scar but I can have some hyperpigmentation. I had a bad breakout a couple months ago so I went on the regimen and made a derm appointment. I've been on the regimen for about 6-7 weeks now and I have seen much improvement but I decided to go to my derm anyway. She perscribed aczone and epiduo. Currently I am mainly getting clogged pores every couple days that eventually turn into smal
  13. Hi Everyone, I finished Accutane about a month ago, and I already have a big pimple on my cheek. I've learned a lot while on Accutane. I'm being very gentle with my skin, barely touching while I wash, moisturizing, but here I am with a nodule. I'm still happy I went on Accutane, and I'm very certain it'll keep the cysts at bay, but I need something to help me with what I'm experiencing now. I'm very clear, but I feel like I have no course of action against the pimples I get from now on. Wh
  14. Hey guys, so I've been using the acne.org regiment for almost a year now and it's done WONDERS for my skin. Seriously changed my life. I still endure some random zits, hormonal breakouts, and pretty noticeable scarring. All of these things I've learned to deal with. However, recently my skin has become so dry it's cracking and flaking off my face. I have NEVER had dry skin...I've been oily in my T-Zone my entire pubescent and teenage life. I am now 21 and have the shininess under control (kind-o
  15. Okay, so my acne has been moderate for about seven years, but I finally got it to clear up using the regimen (not totally word for word but mine works so whatever) but of course I still have scarring. My scarring isn't too bad - bad enough to bother me but not so much I can't live with it for a year or so - and I'm wondering whether I should go straight for the scar treatment (thinking fractional co2 laser) or whether I should go on a course of accutane beforehand. My doctor has offered to p
  16. Hello all. Feel free to skip all this and just read my log, but I thought I would start with a bit about me and my acne story, as I have often found other peoples stories helpful on this site! My Story I have been keeping a log of my experiences with my skin on my computer, but as a long time lurker on this website I have decided to make my story public in the hopes of getting some understanding, and maybe even helping someone in a similar situation. I am a 23 year old female who has
  17. So it's week 14 and I'm still not clear. On top of that, it only got worse. My skin improved the first month I used the regimen. I stopped having huge pimples. Around week 12, I started picking on my skin thinking that removing those dry flakes on top of the acne will help it clear soon. Well, it didn't help at all. I now have acne scabs and they are swollen right now. It's like there are bumps on my face and I hate it. What can I do to heal it faster? Should I still do the regimen then dab neos
  18. Hello, I wonder if I can follow the regimen with other brands' products which I already have. I have dermaplus md's cleanser and moisturizer, also benzoyl peroxide which is from a different brand.
  19. I've always had mild to sometimes moderate acne for the last couple of years. I pretty much use Dan's regimen except for the moisturizer due to the numerous bad review. This is my routine: 1.Wake up, wash with cleanser 2. put bp over entire face and leave it on 3. later during the day, put on moisturizer 4. when I shower at night, use cleanser again 5. before bed, spot treatment and moisturizer over entire face Like I said above, I use the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and the cleanser from Dan'
  20. Hello. I started the caveman regimen two days ago. My forehead, nose, and chin are extremely oily so I've basically had just a layer of oil on my face. Today I was outside doing lawn work all day so I was sweating and getting dirt on my face, so that sat on my face for awhile. Then I went for a run and sweated a ton more and when i got home I took a shower and gently rinsed my face. An hour later I looked in the mirror and I have small pimples everywhere and some itchy weird rashes! I don't know
  21. Hello. I just started doing the regimen and now my face is full of whiteheads. Is this normal? Should I try taking them out?
  22. I used the regimen for 10 days. Now my skin is burned from using 4% BP. I have been using it gradually and applied moisturizer regularly. I now have stopped the regimen because of intense skin cracking, peeling off and redness. I read that the burned skin from bp can be permanent. Is that true? What can I do to get my normal skin back? I am really afraid that I'll have a scar for life because of bp. Please help!
  23. Hi I'm using the regimen for 5 weeks and it works well as it stops the breakout but my skin isn't smooth (photo) I don't know what to do or use. Can AHA+ help against this type of acne ? Before using regimen i had the same problem but with the. regimen it's more visible than before Thanks
  24. My face is literally burning red and everyone in my family is asking what's the problem. I'm on the day 10 of the regimen and have been experiencing very big dryness and redness of the skin. I am using 4%BP and have started with a small amount of it as mentioned on the regimen (and I am gradually increasing the amount). I see marks on my face which i think they are from the skin peeling. Is this huge redness OK? Am I allergic to something? Please help I don't know if I should continue or stop im
