  1. Hi all, I've been using 5% BP now for about a year, but only realised a month or 2 ago that you need to apply it all over the skin and not just pinpoint onto spots (wish I'd known sooner!) Anyway, the reason for using 5% is that this is the most readily available BP cream I can get in the UK. I use a gentle cleanser and then a salicylic acid wash morning and night and BP in the evenings only and then cetaphil moituriser. Basically I've been trying to re-create the regimen but have seen no over
  2. I've been noticing that my face is much less oily in the morning if I don't moisturize at night (CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion). I've started using Alina's hyaluronic acid serum in the morning and my face feels super smooth and hydrated. Should i continue moisturizing every night or can i just apply AHA+ several times a week and that's it?
  3. If I am only using the benzoyl peroxide on certain areas of my face, do I do the same with aha? For instance I am not putting the BP on my forehead at all , will I be putting the aha on my forehead once I start using it?
  4. To do this treatment effective , can we use our own cleanser and moisturizer.? And just use acne.org BEnzoyl peroxide? Or is it a must to buy all 3 for results???
  5. For example when I was in high school I wanted to kill everyone who bullied me for it. I also use to punch and break things because of how it wrecked my life. Now a few years later I still have violent thoughts in general because of it and constant anger.
  6. Hey guys, I've been doing the regimen for almost 7 weeks now, using store-bought products, and it has helped me a lot, but I still do get bumps every now and then and I still have a lot of clogged pores and whiteheads, so I think I should make the switch to Dan's BP, which I already use for my body acne. I originally used a CVS brand 2.5% BP + moisturizer, but I just don't think it's as effective, and it's way too expensive to use in the long run. I just don't know which moisturizer to use
  7. So I've been on the regimen with store bought products for about a month now. In the past few days I've started breaking out like crazy (10+ pimples and some cysts), along with having a burning sensation and a lot of flaking. I did not have this kind of reaction at all until now. It also burns worse when I put on my neutrogena gentle moisturizer. I'm really close to giving up because the burning is unbearable and my chin is breaking out and flaking like crazy. This doesn't seem normal for a mont
  8. Giday all, I've been on the regimen (cleanser, treatment and moisturizer) for about 2 weeks now and I have no complaints just a few questions Im hoping you guys can help me with: Firstly - In the first week I put on the Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% each night about a pea size and it made my skin peel. I stopped using it for a couple of days and just kept cleansing and moisturising morning and night and got my skin functioning again. Im now using the treatment (BP) once every two nights and just a
  9. Hey guys! I am becoming really worried about what is happening to my skin. I have been on the Acne.org regimen for 5 weeks. Every night, I seem to wake up with little red bumps. They are itchy at first, and when I itch them, they get bigger, more red, and inflamed. I have no idea what to do. I am afraid that the BP or Cleanser is triggering these bumps/rashes. I am also using the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water Cleanser before using the Acne.org cleanser. I would really be grateful if anyone
  10. Here's the background info: Started regimen a long, long time ago. About four years ago. After 5ish months on it I was baby face clear and stayed that way for about half a year. Mind you, during this time I could eat ANYTHING and not be affected. It was a good time. Flash Forward to now, my skin isn't that great. It's typically a week long breakout (1-2 zits a day, for a week) follow by a week of healing/red spots, followed up by two-three days of clear, nice looking skin. Only to break
  11. I spent the first few minutes of the new year crying. Yup, I sobbed because my skin was not what I wanted it to be before the new year hit. I decided not to wear makeup that day, and the harsh reality of my acne just teared me apart. I whimpered along my cousins shoulder, and hugged after talking to her about my self esteem issues. With much encouragement, she advised I move on and keep on finding something that can help me out without going to see a dermatologist. I tried my best and looked up
  12. What is the best way to treat redness and scarring while using the regimen. I am about to reach my 8th week on the regimen and have seen my skin slowly improve so I plan to continue to do this treatment. I do have a lot of redness on my cheeks as well as scarring I would like to treat as well. What is the best thing to use that wont interfere with the regimen?
  13. I have had back and shoulder acne for a good 3/4 years now and it is starting to really affect my confidence. Of course it has always been an issue for me, as it stops me from wearing the clothes I want as well as being constantly self-conscious on holiday. However, I have now reached the point where I need to get rid of it desperately. I want to start using the body regimen, but was looking for any success stories/ first-hand experiences so that I can see whether it is really worth investing in
  14. So I recently stopped using the Acne.org regimen after almost 2 months. Unfortunately, my skin and the BP was not a harmonious match. The discomfort from my dry, flaky, itching skin was becoming too uncomfortable and unsightly AND these small red pimples were beginning to appear. So my question is...what are some product lines or other regimens former users of Acne.org regimen transitioned too?
  15. I am an athlete that gets up early in the morning to shave (using jojoba oil and the Regimen Cleanser and a two bladed razor recommended by this site) prior to going to our first workout of the day. After the workout, I come home and shower and complete the Regimen as prescribed. After that, I head to class. During lunch we usually conduct our second workout. This is the question I have. Usually I have another set of classes and/or meetings until nighttime (where I do the Regimen at night), s
  16. Gosh, I remember finding this site when I was struggling with my teenage acne 15 or so years ago. I just recently came across it again, as I am now 30 and my acne is flaring up. Some months and years have been better than others as with all who suffer from adult acne, but it just recently has become the worst it has ever been. I've tried it all - lots of BP regimens (but never Dan's). I used Proactiv for years did help a little, but nothing that stuck. For about 2 years now, I have been usi
  17. I just ordered the acne treatment regimen for the face will arrive in a few days. I am hoping this will work to clear up my skin, feeling optimistic. I do see that acne.org has a seperate wash just for the body, is anyone using that? I read from a peer reviewed article that you can infact use the same acne wash on your face onto your whole body. Is anyone else using the face wash on their body instead of buying two different treatments? I also would like to know of the side affects that actually
  18. Hi Guys, I have had a great experience with the Regimen - having been on it for several years, and staying clear. (I started in late 2011 - I am now 38 years old) A couple of months ago I decided to stop it - largely out of curiosity to see if I still needed it to stay clear. I slowly weaned myself off over a few weeks. I started doing it only in the evening at first, and then just every other morning after a while, and then completely stopping. During this weaning off period, my s
  19. I have done the caveman regimen before but not for the whole month, just two weeks. I wanted to start it again but I was wondering if it's better to not let anything at all touch your face during it or if you should at least wash it with water?
  20. So I have been using the regimen for a while now and it has definitely yielded results. I first used it once a day at night time and washed it off in the morning. This worked alright but didn't help nearly as much as I wanted it to so I switched to using the regimen twice a day as instructed. This is fine except for one problem. The moisturizer makes my face shiny. I use cetaphil cleanser and the bp and moisturizer made by Dan and sold on this site. Dan's moisturizer makes my face shiny
  21. Soooo I am wondering if my acne is getting better or worse, I cant tell. I have a few whiteheads and breakouts, and alot of red spots. I am trying to figure out a way to get rid of them, but everything seems hopeless. My regimen for tonight is Cerave Cleanser, a mix of witch hazel ( 40 drops) and tea tree oil (2 drops ) and moisturizer. I'm I doin something wrong, or is my skin actually healing? Also, whats a good way to get rid of those damned red spots? Thank you guys.
  22. Hi all! Only on Day 2 of the acne.org regimen. I use makeup almost everyday. Before beginning the regimen, I would remove my makeup as soon as I got home. I figured the less time the makeup was on my face the better. However, now when I get home it is too soon for the 2nd washing of the day. Should I clean the makeup off my face even though it has been less than 12 hours since the morning wash? Or is it better the leave the makeup (and the medication underneath it) on until it is time for
  23. I just got the Regimen and love how you can just follow the instructions (meaning no mistakes). One thing I am very unsure of is the benzoyl peroxide, which is in a NON-pump container. Is there a reliable way to get two pumps worth? By the way, I used BP before a lot, and in stronger percentages, so that's why I'm not starting on a smaller amount. Thanks!
  24. I am a female teen and have been using the acne.org regimen for a little over 5 months. Up until the last month it worked as it said it would, I was completely clear. However, within the last month the benzoyl peroxide has caused extreme redness, dryness and itchiness. I did not change anything, that I am aware of. Because of the extreme discomfort of the benzoyl peroxide, I took a break for about a week. I started using a natural regimen recommended by a women with much knowledge in natural
  25. I know I'm going through Puberty. Will dan's regimen still do its job?
