  1. Hello! I've read some of these posts before but now I have a question that has not already been answered here. I'm 16 and I have what I think is moderate acne. I just started my period over the summer and suddenly have bad skin, when it used to be pretty much completely clear. I usually get spots (and have old red marks...) on my cheeks, chin, and jawline now and it really doesn't look nice. So, I decided to go to the dermatologist 3 months ago where he gave me "Adapalene cream 0.1%" to

Almost all my scars are gone and almost completely clear. This is a miracle.

    Drier Than A Camels Armpit

I'm thinking I'll have to dilute the BP. Its drying my skin quite a bit. And I have to be careful not to get it in the eye area! Super sensitive skin man! Not like I get bumps there. Any one using 5% BP got suggestions? Do you dilute it? I cant stand to grease my face up with any more moisturizer or jojoba oil! The skin mites on my face are starting to send letters of complaint about it. I got a new pimple. Under my nostril in the war zone. That is where most of my break outs have been occur
  4. Hi members of acne.org, I'm hoping someone can help me with some confusion regarding the BP/Moisturizer. After thinking and some experimentation, I've started to wonder what effect the moisturizer has on the BP. Surely the moisturizer chemicals will react with the BP chemicals. I've been doing the regimen every night for about a week now, only cleansing and moisturizing in the morning. I've noticed that most of the 'redness' and 'burning' often reported occurs for me as soon as I put on t

Going To Give This A Try

I just ordered the acne treatment regimen for the face will arrive in a few days. I am hoping this will work to clear up my skin, feeling optimistic. I do see that acne.org has a seperate wash just for the body, is anyone using that? I read from a peer reviewed article that you can infact use the same acne wash on your face onto your whole body. Is anyone else using the face wash on their body instead of buying two different treatments? I also would like to know of the side affects that actually
  6. Hello everyone, I just wanted to give a little update of my 4 month journey with this regimen. Quick background story: Hormonal acne, mild and I was on the pill Yasmin for more than 10 years, stopped, had a bunch of acne, tried a bunch of "natural" treatments, didn't stick to a routine, got scared, went back on the pill, it was horrible and now I stopped it again, 6 months ago, promising to stick to the Acne.org regimen. For the longer version, check http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/35
  7. I started having mild acne around 12 or 13 years old that slowly progressed into unbearable, painful, ugly cystic acne. No makeup helped (only made it worse) and my self esteem was abysmal. I'm not selling anything (you can look back at my posts from YEARS before), and I'm not even saying this will work for everyone, but I wanted to post what is working for me. Maybe someone has the sam kind of acne as I do, and this might help. But before I tell you what has FINALLY worked for me, let me show y

    Day 14 On The Regimen

I'm currently Day 14 following The Regimen I've seen minor improvements on my face, no new acne popping up in my face and the older ones are gone by now or at least very dry. However, I can still se acne scars here and there due to the old acne. My only concern is that my face is now darker than the usual color also when being compared to my neck. The skin also tends to get very dry after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, should I scrub off the dry skin on my face or just leave it as it

    One Month of Needles

I've been hearing a lot about this microneedling over the last year and had considered giving it a try. But it wasn't until I heard a coworker raving about it that I thought I should actually go for it. Basically, you're rolling dozens of tiny needles all over your face, causing controlled injury to the layers of skin and forcing the body to increase collagen production. This improves, apparently, fine lines, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and skin firmness. There are different needle length
  10. Hey, so I've been on the regimen for around 2 months and im starting to clear up a bit. My skin no longer gets irritated nor red when I apply the benzoyl peroxide, but it does when I put on the moisturizer. I wait for around 15 minutes in between applying the BP and moisturizer. The moisturizer Im using is specifically for acne skin. Is this normal and is there any way to avoid this? Thanks
  11. I hear all sorts of feedback on how long people took to get clear. I really only want to hear from cystic acne sufferers...please how long did it really take? I am on week 10 and am still having breakouts. I just want to get a realistic view of what I am working with here...thanks in advance for your feedback!

    For Winter, What To Use?

Hi, everyone. I'm using the regimen for almost a month now. And I'm getting very positive results. The only thing is my skin in the jawline area is always dry, the moisturizer doesn't seem to be really working on that particular area but I use more moisturizer and other moisturizer when I'm out so that's not really my problem. My problem is what can I use on my face for the upcoming winter? I know the regimen's moisturizer won't be enough. I live in Canada and it usually gets up to 40 degre
  13. Here's the background info: Started regimen a long, long time ago. About four years ago. After 5ish months on it I was baby face clear and stayed that way for about half a year. Mind you, during this time I could eat ANYTHING and not be affected. It was a good time. Flash Forward to now, my skin isn't that great. It's typically a week long breakout (1-2 zits a day, for a week) follow by a week of healing/red spots, followed up by two-three days of clear, nice looking skin. Only to break
  14. Hey guys, I've been doing the regimen for almost 7 weeks now, using store-bought products, and it has helped me a lot, but I still do get bumps every now and then and I still have a lot of clogged pores and whiteheads, so I think I should make the switch to Dan's BP, which I already use for my body acne. I originally used a CVS brand 2.5% BP + moisturizer, but I just don't think it's as effective, and it's way too expensive to use in the long run. I just don't know which moisturizer to use

2 Months Into Dans Regimen! Whoop!

The 2 month mark is here! 8 weeks! This is a crucial milestone, people. A crossroad of sorts. This is the time I told myself I'd evaluate my progress and decide if I should continue... Well? What do you guys think? Is it worth sticking it out another month? Another 2 months? Forever?!?

    Acne Regimen (After 6 Days)

So I added Clean and Clear blackhead eraser scrub to my regimen. I had noticed a horrible amount of blackheads on my chin. I usually get them on the sides of my nose and on my chin. I love this scrub! It makes my skin feel super clean and leaves a cool feeling. After two days of using the scrub, the blackheads and pimples on my chin are completely gone! The worst area with pimples *my forehead* has improved. The pimples have decreased in size but they still remain. I am adding peppermint oil as

    Dillon's Log

Hi everyone! This is my journal to keep track of my progress with the regimen. I currently am on day 4 and have been seeing some minor changes to the texture of my skin. UPDATE: Here's me a week before I began the Regimen, Now, I'm not sure if l.e.d. flash on a camera reflects how I look in real life, but it sure does bring out the redness on my face... I also notice that my skin is extremely dry, even after I apply lots of moisturizer... It flakes constantly and is scaly. My skin als
  19. I have decided to start my own personal log, having gathered so much helpful information over the last few years from content others have posted on here. It will also be a great way for me to record my own progress and thoughts. First the boring stuff... I'm a 20 year old male from New Zealand, and have had mild to moderate acne on my chin and forehead for the last 5 years or so. I have tried literally every over the counter product including clearasil, cetaphil, proactive, clean and clea
  20. I spent the first few minutes of the new year crying. Yup, I sobbed because my skin was not what I wanted it to be before the new year hit. I decided not to wear makeup that day, and the harsh reality of my acne just teared me apart. I whimpered along my cousins shoulder, and hugged after talking to her about my self esteem issues. With much encouragement, she advised I move on and keep on finding something that can help me out without going to see a dermatologist. I tried my best and looked up

    Before It Begins...

Alright. Dan's products come in about a day or two, and I'm ready to start this. I've tried pretty much everything. I've wasted (or not wasted, because at least I know they don't work!) tons of money on products and procedures that have never made my acne go away. It's only been almost a year, but I know that I shouldn't have to wait that long to have clear skin again. I can do this. I just have to be persistent, and stop torturing my skin with new products and treatments. It's insa
  22. Sooo I made this account just to start this topic because I took a picture of my skin today and it looks soo bad. I started the caveman regimen a little more than 3 weeks ago and yes i know I should at least try it out for 2 months but i really need some advice (feel free to ask for background etc). Any advice would be helpful please. this is how my skin looked before i started doing the caveman regimen so around 3 weeks ago and this is how it looks right now
  23. Hey all. I talk a bit about the Regimen here, but since it isn't part of the Regimen, this really fits better in this forum--hopefully some buyers of Dan's products ou tthere can help me. Basically, I loved Dans Salicylic Acid+ product. I used BP in the morning and SA at night and not only did it keep me clear, but it kept me free of those gosh darn closed comeomes that always seem to pop up around my moutn (BP 2x a day does not help this). Unfortunately, my stash of SA is now almost gone (u
  24. Hi all, Not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot (new user here) and I just wanted to ask anyone who has used the Regimen, should my skin be burning from the benzoyl peroxide? I've been using it for 2 weeks (this is my second I think) and I've just upped the dosage of BP and now my skin is starting to burn and feel tight, as if I've been badly sunburnt. Thing is, I've used BP before (years ago) and it was 5% and nothing like this happened. So is this just normal? It just burns.
