  1. Hello everyone, I just wanted to give a little update of my 4 month journey with this regimen. Quick background story: Hormonal acne, mild and I was on the pill Yasmin for more than 10 years, stopped, had a bunch of acne, tried a bunch of "natural" treatments, didn't stick to a routine, got scared, went back on the pill, it was horrible and now I stopped it again, 6 months ago, promising to stick to the Acne.org regimen. For the longer version, check http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/35
  2. Hello. I've been on the following regimen for about 3.5 months now and have not seen the results I was expecting by now: AM: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser Aczone (dapsone) gel on acne spots Minocycline oral pill Garnier SPF 15 moisturizer PM: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser Retin-A .05% Minocycline oral pill Should I give this more time or switch it up? Also, is the SPF 15 in my moisturizer (that is supposed to last all day until washed off) enough to protect my skin since I'm

    Aha question

If I am only using the benzoyl peroxide on certain areas of my face, do I do the same with aha? For instance I am not putting the BP on my forehead at all , will I be putting the aha on my forehead once I start using it?
  4. hellooo, I finally found the routine that helped me clear my cystic acne (on my cheeks) and I just wanted to share it with those who has tried everything (like me) but nothing seems to work and believes that Accutane might be their last resort. NOTE: this is what worked for ME, thus, it may not work for some people. anyway, the key to this routine is diet. - no milk (this includes any kind of milk eg soymilk, almond milk), well, occasionally, I would have food that consists of milk, j
  5. Giday all, I've been on the regimen (cleanser, treatment and moisturizer) for about 2 weeks now and I have no complaints just a few questions Im hoping you guys can help me with: Firstly - In the first week I put on the Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% each night about a pea size and it made my skin peel. I stopped using it for a couple of days and just kept cleansing and moisturising morning and night and got my skin functioning again. Im now using the treatment (BP) once every two nights and just a
  6. I spent the first few minutes of the new year crying. Yup, I sobbed because my skin was not what I wanted it to be before the new year hit. I decided not to wear makeup that day, and the harsh reality of my acne just teared me apart. I whimpered along my cousins shoulder, and hugged after talking to her about my self esteem issues. With much encouragement, she advised I move on and keep on finding something that can help me out without going to see a dermatologist. I tried my best and looked up

    Regimen newbie- HELP!!

Hi everyone! I’d reallllllyyyyy appreciate some help. I’ve paid A LOT of money for the acne.org regimen products as I live in the UK but I can’t bring myself to actually start the regimen Hear me out: Even though I’ve heard all the amazing success stories I’m really worried the regimen will mess up my already messed up skin. When I was teen (I’m now 30) I was given OTC benzoyl peroxide (i can’t remember the %) but it REALLY REALLY messed up my skin. I have sensitive skin but was told
  8. From the album: My journey and progress

Almost all my scars are gone and almost completely clear. This is a miracle.
  9. Soooo I am wondering if my acne is getting better or worse, I cant tell. I have a few whiteheads and breakouts, and alot of red spots. I am trying to figure out a way to get rid of them, but everything seems hopeless. My regimen for tonight is Cerave Cleanser, a mix of witch hazel ( 40 drops) and tea tree oil (2 drops ) and moisturizer. I'm I doin something wrong, or is my skin actually healing? Also, whats a good way to get rid of those damned red spots? Thank you guys.

Week 3 With Dan The Man

Hey kids. So I just finished week 3/started week 4. And I'm still pretty pleased w the results of the regimen! As a reminder I'm using 1/3 fingers length of bp twice a day, with dans cleanser and Cerave moisturizer twice a day too. I also just started my 3rd month of the bc pill Trinessa... I try and wear as little makeup as possible. Some Clinique concealer under the eyes and on any zits usually makes me half presentable for a day at work. But I'd like to start trying maybe adding a primer

    Day 1

I would like to start of by saying that my acne by no means is bad. It used to be pretty moderate, but I've been using the regimen for about three/four months now and it's been helping. I was originally just using it once a day, but recently I decided to slowly implement using it twice daily. Boy, does my skin burn. My skin is slightly pink, which is normal. I know I need to get used to using it twice daily. However, I'm surprised by how badly my eyelids burn seeing as the bp stays completley
  12. HELLO Beautiful people. I recently uploaded a video about my 5 month experience using the 3 step regimen from Acne.org. (Attached is a link to that video) I discussed in great details my thoughts on the products, the side effects I endured, and much more. 13. Hey guys .. I have a problem. After using the regimen, my skin has become more oily and more darker. I use this product for almost 3 months. Although the first day I used it, my skin becomes darker. I stopped using this product for almost 2 weeks, then I can see my skin color back to my natural skin tone and less oily. BUT since I use the regimen, my acne became less and prevent it from popping up. No doubt. Recently, I continue to use this product because my pimple started to appear again.
  14. I don't really expect much help, I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat as me... but here it goes. Like a year and a half ago, a little more, I had a completely clear back with very occasional acne, but my face has always been a problem for me. I have followed Dan's regimen RELIGIOUSLY on my face for the last 6 years of my life. Buying his products, and using them as intended. My face would be in the same predicament as my back had I not done this, but my face is basically clear and s
  15. I had very clear skin up until I turned 18 I started getting cysts around my mouth I'm now 20 and wondering if it is hormonal when will they go away for good? And if I decide to get on spironolactone wont it just come back soon as I get off it? I just want clear skin again with out having to do the regimen for the rest of my life my self esteem has gone down so much I've become so anti social because I hate how I look Did anyone have any luck with natural remedies? Or a specific bi
  16. Hey, so I've been on the regimen for around 2 months and im starting to clear up a bit. My skin no longer gets irritated nor red when I apply the benzoyl peroxide, but it does when I put on the moisturizer. I wait for around 15 minutes in between applying the BP and moisturizer. The moisturizer Im using is specifically for acne skin. Is this normal and is there any way to avoid this? Thanks
  17. Hi members of acne.org, I'm hoping someone can help me with some confusion regarding the BP/Moisturizer. After thinking and some experimentation, I've started to wonder what effect the moisturizer has on the BP. Surely the moisturizer chemicals will react with the BP chemicals. I've been doing the regimen every night for about a week now, only cleansing and moisturizing in the morning. I've noticed that most of the 'redness' and 'burning' often reported occurs for me as soon as I put on t

  19. Hey guys, I've been doing the regimen for almost 7 weeks now, using store-bought products, and it has helped me a lot, but I still do get bumps every now and then and I still have a lot of clogged pores and whiteheads, so I think I should make the switch to Dan's BP, which I already use for my body acne. I originally used a CVS brand 2.5% BP + moisturizer, but I just don't think it's as effective, and it's way too expensive to use in the long run. I just don't know which moisturizer to use

    One Month of Needles

I've been hearing a lot about this microneedling over the last year and had considered giving it a try. But it wasn't until I heard a coworker raving about it that I thought I should actually go for it. Basically, you're rolling dozens of tiny needles all over your face, causing controlled injury to the layers of skin and forcing the body to increase collagen production. This improves, apparently, fine lines, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and skin firmness. There are different needle length

    Day 18: The Flaky Feat

This morning, I woke up to no new forming pimples, and even better, diminished whiteheads. I was so pleased to see that the popped whiteheads from yesterday healed pretty well, and it doesn't look like they'll be coming back. Thank goodness. The papule near my nose has also shrunk a bit, which is great. I just want to be able to wear makeup today without looking like a bumpy toad. My skin is still extremely dry and flaky, but I'm proud of this progress! This is one of those days on the
  24. I'm sorry I haven't posted about the past few days. I didn't have time to access the internet this weekend. I'll just quickly summarize how my skin's been doing: Day 25: Again, flaky skin. Even though I was in a van for about 10 hours, I insisted on wearing makeup the entire day. There were travel videos to worry about and such. I bought Tarte's Maracuja Miracle Foundation the day before, which is a liquid. The woman selling me the product was successful in convincing me that liquid f

    Side

    From the album: Week 5

Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with this side. Still, it's on its way. The biggest issue is that there's a cluster of 3-4 bumps (that giant red blotch) under my skin, and I have no idea what they're doing or why they're there. Could be hormonal (new birth control), could be from popping last week, no idea. The rest is PIH.
