  1. I have a hormonal scars that are slighlty indented and i have been using Braggs undiluted organic APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. It seems to be making a difference! I have uploaded a photo. The one that has a circle is the indented one. If it works itd be a great cheap alternative! I just rub some on the scars with a q-tip at night. Sometimes multiple times a night. When u apply it the area will become red, but itll be gone by the morning
  2. My Accutane Log! Hello and welcome to my Accutane log! I am 5'9" and weigh 135 lbs and am female. I have had moderate acne since I was 13. My acne is not exactly cystic, but is rash-like--spreading over certain parts of my face and stubbornly staying for long periods of time. I would also say that I had plenty of closed comedones, which are incredibly frustrating because they give your skin a rough, bumpy look that is especially embarrassing in the sunlight. Not too mention the ugly, swollen pr
  3. Hi Everyone , I'm a 16 years old guy and I've been promoted to 11th class this year and i'm suffering from acne since i was in class 8th, I used to get alot of pimples at start but now i Rarely get two or three pimples in a week, But still my skin look horrible, There are alot of clogged pores and redness all over , I'm attaching a photo of my face hope to get your advices soon! thanks!
  4. My face is literally burning red and everyone in my family is asking what's the problem. I'm on the day 10 of the regimen and have been experiencing very big dryness and redness of the skin. I am using 4%BP and have started with a small amount of it as mentioned on the regimen (and I am gradually increasing the amount). I see marks on my face which i think they are from the skin peeling. Is this huge redness OK? Am I allergic to something? Please help I don't know if I should continue or stop im
  5. Hell y'all! I've read other forums and general advice from The Regimen's website, tips and tricks, etc., but I want to know if anyone out there is able to relate to my specific case in hopes of some beneficial advice. My skin in mainly dry/flakey along my jawline and under my chin, but as of this morning the dryness/flakey skin has progressed to my cheeks and slightly on my forehead. I'm 18 years old, and I have mild-moderate acne. I am on DAY 8 of the Regimen. - Morning: One pump of cl
  6. Hey! I've been using the BP as spot treatment. The spots where i apply it are clear again, but with a price; my face is tomato red and peeling! Everytime i go without makeup, people ask if im sunburnt. If i wear makeup to cover up the redness, my peeling is even more noticeable and looks worse. Can you guys recommend something to get rid of this redness and peeling? I dont want to stop the BP, it's too good for my skin. It is 10% though, so should i go to a lower %? What should i do for redness?
  7. I know nothing about acne. I just know that I've had all of these scars for 2 years now. Oh, and definitely they've improved since then but I'm graduating high school this year and while I don't mind the scarring now I absolutely do not want them for college. Can anyone give me any advise about these things?
  8. Hey guys...so I'm currently on day 70 of accutane, so I've finished two months of accutane and am currently one week into my third month... My dermatologist told me that I should take pictures to keep a log of how I'm doing, however, after taking some pictures today I'm so horrified to see that I actually look worse than when I started! I'm so incredibly upset...All of my old acne has left red marks which wont go, and every single new breakout I've had leaves more -- so my face, especially t
  9. Hello out there, I'm posting this today because I need help. Not just with figuring out my skin problem, but emotionally this is taking a big tole. I have been doing a lot of research on my skin, as I've had this rash-like condition on my face for months. Over the course of the holidays It's been much, much worse. I really think it could be a condition called acne cosmetica. Acne caused by cosmetics. In my case, I've been using a mineral makeup, but it seems like the more I cover the problem,
  10. In the past 2 months I have had some very small acne appear on my chin. I am writing to you guys as I notice it has become more red and has spread to the left side of my chin now too with a few dots appearing above my mouth by my nose, unlike before where it was minor and on the right side on my chin only. I had some break outs (not on my chin at the time) so I used a Neutrogena face wash to try and minimize the redness. I noticed that it didn't help and quickly stopped using it after maybe 3
  11. I'm 15 with acne thats I would describe as mild and close enough to moderate. I have it pretty much under control with: Day: Cleanse with acne.org cleanser Moisturise with acne.org moisturiser Night: Cleanse with acne.org cleanser use Duac once daily gel Moisturise with acne.org moisturiser I was using isotrexin, when my prescription ran out I stopped using it and I had a pretty bad breakout after a week. My doctor then prescribed me with duac once daily (5% BP, 1% clindamycin
  12. This is a repost of a previous discussion. I am reposting because I feel that I had put it in the wrong category. Ok, so I'm going to try and fit this all in together. Also, excuse my grammar....I'm just typing my thoughts and they're not all perfectly spelled, or punctuated. Awhile back I had posted that I had burned myself with TCA cross. It's 2 years later and unfortunately I am left with the permanent scars. They're certainly not what they were, but I have permanent red hy
  13. Hey guys. So I made this account because after two years of struggling with prescription acne meds, nothing has significantly improved. I currently use a Clyndamycin lotion and a .1% Retin-A cream, at day and night respectively. I also use Aczone cream for spot treating, and use a Neutrogena Acne Wash Redness Soothing day and night. However, i still get frequent whiteheads and i have lots of red spots from previous pimples that have not disappeared, especially in the cheek region below the eyes.
  14. Hi all, so I've suffered from cheek/jawline acne for almost 3-4 years. I have asian skin btw and the good thing is that my acne is starting to heal now and I was wondering how other people think of it currently... What type of acne do I have and should I still be worried? And is there any way I could reduce the appearance of redness and pores? Thank you! right cheek left cheek
  15. Hi, so since like two years i ago, i started getting these pea sized pimples on my nose, which would pop after 1-2 weeks. I don't remember when but my nose started to turn red like in the picture but maybe you can't see due to the colouring. I have a pimple at the tip of my nose and a region of region around it. Even once the pimple goes i have this patch of red, which i'm not sure if it's inflamed. I've seen a dermatologist and he gave me duac which didn't really help.
  16. Hello! For the last 3 years or so I have searched online for answers about why my skin was so red. Could it be from my acne? Could I have rosacea before I was even 30? Would it ever go away? Who else had this kind of redness that I did? I am here to post my progress, and maybe be of some kind of reference or guidance to someone else who is searching for answers, sees my skin, and can relate. I had always had some kind of acne since I was about 11. I never did NOT have some kind of blemish on my
  17. Hey guys, help me out here. I've been in the regimen for 3 weeks now. I started last June 16. Having a broken time of work here in Saudi (8/9AM-12NN then 4-8/9PM), I have to do some cleansing in between time. I wake at 7/8AM for 9AM-12NN shift then I sleep from 1:30-3PM for 4-9PM shift. I'll show you how I do my routine so you can have an idea and correct me if I'm doing something wrong. This is my routine: >Week 1 (JUNE 15 - 21) 12MN: cleanser, less than half a
  18. Hey guys! I have been shown an awesome acne treatment that works! Some of my friends and I have tried it and it really seems to work! Desitin: a diaper rash ointment This stuff works! You can also use generic diaper rash ointment. -Apply this to you spots or problem areas at night (a little goes a long way) and go to sleep. MAKE SURE TO COVER YOUR PILLOW WITH A TOWEL OR SOMETHING BECAUSE IT WILL COME OFF AND IT DOES NOT WASH OUT IN MY EXPERIENCE. In the morning, wash your face,
  19. I have been on the regimen for 8 months (but I 'reset' 4 months ago). I am mostly clear, but I still do get 1-3 zits a week. But I also am not yet using the full amount as my face takes awhile to adjust. I am still suffering with an extremely red face in areas where I apply BP/Moisturizer. Switching moisturizers to Cerave helped a little bit, but it is still bad. I was wondering if adding a sunscreen would help with redness. I don't think I spend enough time in the sun to get sunburns, b
  20. I use Accutane for severe acne and it's working, but i have these weird red marks left. They don't look like acne scars and my whole face looks red. My derm said it will go away in a few weeks. anyone has some tips? The pictures are not arranged but I'm pretty sure the pics go from bad to a little less bad.
  21. Hello! I suffered with pretty bad acne for years, and have finally got rid of it!!! But now I'm left with this: (This photo actually makes it look a little clearer than it actually is!) Please help by telling me what sort of scars/marks I have, and how do I help them fade? Thank you very much
  22. (sorry this is so long ><, links to all the products below) Hi, I've been dealing with my acne since the start of college. I live in the city now, which I reckon can't be good for the skin, but there's not much I can deal with lifestyle-wise. It's been three years and my skin is getting worse as time goes on. So here I am trying to piece together a new regime to follow through on and hopefully see results. As for my skin, pictures speak volumes. my forehead: tons, and i mean
  23. Okay so i just got off of accutane about a month ago and i'm still clear. So i'm thankful for that, but i'm still very bothered with some of accutane's lingering side effects. The worst for me is the flushing and redness. Anytime i get a little bit embarrassed, nervous, or even talk to someone i usually don't my face starts to flush and i start sweating all over my body, within a couple of minutes i'm red as can be and in extreme discomfort as my whole body begins to be inflicted by pain becaus
  24. I used hydrocortisone cream on my face for about half a year - last year. I would sleep with it on at night and put it on my face without sunscreen during the day. This created mild scars last year and thought they would eventually go away. I know I'm an idiot - I didn't realize the damage caused was so extensive. Then this past summer 2013, I bought Neutragena sunscreen with moisturizer. When I applied it to my scarred cheeks, I broke out into some serious acne which lasted up till now. My che
  25. Ok I am a 35/f with moderate hormonal cystic acne and rosacea. I just started ACCUTANE 11 days ago (40mg) and everyday my flushing and redness is getting worse. And it is hot to the touch. My entire face is red and flushing. I had lots of redness before ACCUTANE but this is extreme. Has anyone else had this? I wonder if it is just stage of ACCUTANE or is it only going to get worse. I really don't want to stop taking it bc it is my last option. I've taken everything under the sun and nothing has
