  1. So today I'm having a better day !! hallelujah! !! I decided that the differin -even though it's like ,% may be too strong for me.. I'm very fair skinned & burn easily as is so I decided to cut back on it to every second day I woke up with 4 spots today like the white head on the surface ones and they were small so who cares? ? I think I won't skip it again though .. I'm going to mi it with a moisturiser every second night I also went to clinique I was looking at the anti blemish rang
  2. Hey everyone, I know ive posted about this before but I’m getting desperate for some solutions/ feedback. I’ve been off accutane for what’ll be 3 months here on April 4. My cheeks and nose are always at least pink/ red. I also flush probably about once a day in which my cheeks turn a dark red/purple. My face was never red and I definitely never flushed prior to accutane. I played a lot of sports and could play 3 baseball games in the middle of summer and keep a normal skin tone the entire time.
  3. To start off, I am going to try and start posting once a month at least, hopefully, more often than that. As for the update on my skin, it hasn't been the best few days. I think that is because I have run out of acidophilus that I pair with spiro, and my skin is not liking that. I forgot to call in the refill before the weekend. As a result of that, I have a few new spots on my cheek that are honestly really bothering me. I can't feel them, but my skin was looking good before this. It might also
  4. Hi everyone! So this is my week 8 of using differin. Last week was a mess. Still, this week is a mess. I have 2 whiteheads on right cheek and one on left cheek. This week I also apply benzac 5% for 20 minutes and wash out before washing my face with cleaser in both morning and evening. Acne reacted to benzac quite well but it leaves dry skin. I will keep using benzac but lower the time to 15 mins. My major problem for this week is scars which appear all over my face. Both left and right cheek
  5. About a month ago I went to get a facial at a salon. They did a TERRIBLE job to say the least. I’ve always had pimples now and then come and go but NEVER an acne issue and never something like this before. Ever since the painful facial my skin has been reacting in new pustules every single day on my cheeks, chin, and forehead. I’ve never experienced this and it just keeps coming daily and doesn’t go away. What do I do? I’m so desperate I’ve been crying because I feel hopeless and like my skin wi
  6. Hello! I had a nasty zit a couple days ago which I popped before it was ready. Then trying to fix the issue yesterday I tried picking at it just a bit, which of course made it much worse. I have been using polysporin triple and Lamaisl as a treatment so far but no improvements. Really need some help guys!! I have attached photos of the progression. Any tips or tricks are welcomed. Thank you!!
  7. Hi im wondering if anyone can help me, I finished my isotretinoin course around 3 months ago and I'm still stuck with red marks from past breakouts, I still get one or two actives every so often but nothing to what it once was. im need some advice on what to do for the pie/pih I'm currently dealing with, I have been using some zinc and niacinamide serum along with some vitamin c but it's not really doing much. I'll attach some photos if I can, they look quite red as I've just showered
  8. Hey everyone! It's been about 3 years since my last post and I must say my face is looking way better! I get small breakouts here and there but I haven't had any full blown painful as hell clusters in ages! I mostly owe that too being very strict with my face cleaning habits and the products I use. Sadly I still haven't found the perfect face wash, toner and moisturizer system but I make do with the random ones I purchase. I use the Mia 2 now and it really helps get every bit of makeup off my
  9. Since last I wrote, I let you guys know that I started using about half a finger's length more of benzyol peroxide than usual, so I am using 3/4 of the ideal amount, which would be two finger's length. *I guess I was never really precise in describing what "a finger's length actually means", so here goes. I ordered the 8oz treatment so it doesn't come with the pump. Those of you that have the pump know that the amount you're working up to is two pumps. I sort of very freely assumed that the amou
  10. I just need to say, WOW, my skin was flaky yesterday. I have no idea what happened. I washed my face and flakes came off on my towel! I could've peeled so much of my face off. It was weird, but I suppose it's better to let some layers shed and keep my skin as fresh as possible. Gotta get all of the rest of that buried acne out of there! Speaking of such, I'm very irked by a cluster of bumps under my skin on my problem cheek. The other side of my face is SO much clearer, what's going o
  11. I'm sorry I haven't posted about the past few days. I didn't have time to access the internet this weekend. I'll just quickly summarize how my skin's been doing: Day 25: Again, flaky skin. Even though I was in a van for about 10 hours, I insisted on wearing makeup the entire day. There were travel videos to worry about and such. I bought Tarte's Maracuja Miracle Foundation the day before, which is a liquid. The woman selling me the product was successful in convincing me that liquid f
  12. This morning, I woke up to no new forming pimples, and even better, diminished whiteheads. I was so pleased to see that the popped whiteheads from yesterday healed pretty well, and it doesn't look like they'll be coming back. Thank goodness. The papule near my nose has also shrunk a bit, which is great. I just want to be able to wear makeup today without looking like a bumpy toad. My skin is still extremely dry and flaky, but I'm proud of this progress! This is one of those days on the
  13. Well, I freaked out yesterday, but it looks like my skin is back to progressing. Most of the areas that were popped yesterday are either now red marks or smaller whiteheads, which I'm fine with. It could've been worse! Of course, my skin is also back to its insanely dry, red, and burning routine. Applying the BP is never bad, but for some reason when I put on the 2 pumps of moisturizer (and 5-6 drops of jojoba now ) my skin starts freaking out and stinging like mad. It definitely needs
  14. Okay. I just need to vent a little here. I apologize in advance. WHY is my skin doing this? The initial clearing was absolutely a tease. There's this decently-sized red bump on my cheek and whiteheads on both my forehead and cheeks. This is so uncool. I have to admit that yes, my skin is getting less inflamed and these breakouts will heal like the rest, but goodness this is saddening. Especially without the aid of face makeup. I can't stop looking at my skin. Look at my photo
  15. Day 8 has proven so far to be quite the challenge. First, let me just say that the Regimen is still awesome. My skin is still progressing quite smoothly and at the proper pace However, my skin is definitely feeling the increased amount of BP, and it seems to be purging like no other. I don't really mean that it's breaking out. It just seems to be screaming, "EVERYTHING ON ME WILL DIE A PAINFUL DEATH." So, what's going on with my skin? Time to investigate: 1. I did have a mi
  16. I am on day 40 of Accutane, 40MG once a day and about a week ago I noticed how red and blotchy my skin is. I moisturize twice a day and rarely step out in the sun. It’s gotten considerably worse over the passed week. Is this normal, should I follow up with my derm. Advice anyone please!
  17. I'm new here, but i'm in desperate need of advice, and I just need to speak out about my experience suffering from acne. See, like alot of you, i suffered with severe cystic acne. I lived with it for a year, and i had to go on Accutane to get rid of it, however it seems that the deep scarring and redness that results from such severe cases has barely changed my situation. Although many of you have also suffered from severe acne, I feel that after reading some threads on how acne has affected p
  18. I've been taking Accutane (Myorisan) for about month and a half, 40mg x2. Everything seemed to be working well other than dry skin and lips but about 5 days ago my neck suddenly began to itch so I scratched it, but it didn't stop I woke up the next morning and my entire right side of neck was red and swollen a bit. I thought maybe it's just another side effect and put on OTC anti itch cream. But the itchiness spread and it went upto my face and made my face red, swollen and sting. Then it
  19. I'm currently Day 14 following The Regimen I've seen minor improvements on my face, no new acne popping up in my face and the older ones are gone by now or at least very dry. However, I can still se acne scars here and there due to the old acne. My only concern is that my face is now darker than the usual color also when being compared to my neck. The skin also tends to get very dry after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, should I scrub off the dry skin on my face or just leave it as it
  20. OK so.... I'm an idiot. Well, not really an idiot, but I honestly wonder why I did this to myself - and why I canNOT stop picking in a vengeful rage against my poor, poor face. I added extra glycolic acid to the parts that are in the picture as obviously red and messed up. The rest of my skin basically looks fine, though since cutting down to just 1G Pantothenic acid supplementing a day it is definitely getting oilier. Background info - I bought 70% Glycolic acid undiluted (extremely high pe
  21. I have a red/pink mark from a cystic pimple above my lip which resolved about 3 months ago. The color of the "scar", or PIE as I think it is, is about the same color as my lip. There is a small indented scar near where the center of the pimple used to be, but I'm most concerned about the redness surrounding that area, which is quite visible in some lighting, especially when I am smiling. I have been reading a ton online about PIE and options for treatment, and I'm expecting that this will im
  22. stuff i've learnt about acne and some of my thoughts regarding the subject. -researching acne is 100% important when trying to "cure" yourself. there is different types of acne. all have specific treatments. (some skin problems are not even acne) - it important to educate yourself on post acne marks & acne scars + how to treat them. it is easy to mistake post acne/ skin damage for active acne. -sodium lauryl sulfate (aka "SLS" for short) is an ingredient in most acne soaps but shoul
  23. (last paragraph sums up everything if you don't want to read it all) i already have a problem with picking at my skin unintentionally, and 2 days ago i tried taking a bobby pin and using it to pop my black heads, my skin was clear besides a few pimples and black heads on my nose. so i took the bobby pin and all i know was that i started popping them at 4am and ended at 3pm (a long time), and my skin was really red and my pores were huge, which i'm guessing is from me scraping at my skin to get
  24. For example when I was in high school I wanted to kill everyone who bullied me for it. I also use to punch and break things because of how it wrecked my life. Now a few years later I still have violent thoughts in general because of it and constant anger.
  25. First off, I'm a 23 y/o Male with Combination/Sensitive/Acne Prone Skin. I've been using Dans 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide for just over a month and a half, once a day (at night) and it really works. It cleared my Acne like nothing within 4 days and within the first 2 weeks of using it, i only encountered one pimple that disappeared in 2 days and after that, not a single one. But since Thursday night (which is 2 days from now) I've run in to a problem where certain areas on my face like the right sid
