  1. Hello ! Above all, I want to apologize for my horrible English, I am French and not very talented in foreign language haha! So, it's been a whole month now that I started The Acne Regimen (you should know that I do not have severe acne, my pimples are persistent, they are located exclusively on my T-zone, the upper cheeks and chin but not on the jaw or in the neck). I know that it's not much time that I started the treatment but I found that my skin became worse than before, at first everythin
  2. I've been using TactuPump/Epiduo for the past three weeks, and it's been hell. For the first couple days, nothing really happened. My skin got a little red as expected, with some slight peeling on the corners of my nose. But then all hell broke loose when I decided to use some drugstore makeup (Revlon, to be exact) to cover up the redness. I might have gotten too drug happy as well. I foolishly thought that applying MORE medication would speed up the process (I've now realized that the inst
  3. Is it normal for my skin to be this read after applying benzyl peroxide and moisturizer? It burns and the redness does not go away stays this way all day

  5. Hello all! So I'm about 3 months into the regimen, and currently it's kind of bittersweet... my skin is CLEAR, like haven't really had a serious pimple in weeks.. and I even managed to reduce treatment to once daily and maintain the same results. The issue is I'm still experiencing REDNESS like terribly bad.. I look like a lobster that went tanning wearing sunglasses.. its embarrassing because the skin around my eyes and my neck are pale white.. whilst the rest of my face looks like I just
  6. Hi does anyone have any advice on how to clear this up? I don't know if it's an acne mark or acne scar? I started getting cheek acne last January after going off tretinoin cream. I have been back on it for almost a year now but after getting cyst acne I am left with these. I don't know what else to do to clear it up.
  7. I just started prescription acne medication for only 3 days and my face has already become dry, flaky, red, and irritated. Taking my dryness, flakiness, irritated, & red skin, what is the best facial moisturizers (both A.M. & P.M.) that is non-comedogenic AND oil free? I wish I could just put that intense moisturizing hand cream on my face because I feel like that's the kind of moisture I need, but obviously that is not good for my acne. A few options I've heard good things about are:
  8. Hi... i'm currently in the week six doing the regimen. Week 4 and week 5 my skin was very dry and with a lot of flakiness, now my skin isn't so dry and flaky anymore but, sometimes it is red and sometimes it is normal, i don't know why, yesterday my skin was OK and now it is red again, especially my chin and cheeks, it can be because of the sun? I dont usually wear sunblock because i usually don't have so much exposure in the sun. Somebody have the same issue? Please answer! P.S: I'm using 2 p
  9. Hello guys, I am new on acne.org. Have read silently for a while but now I need your help, please!!! About me and my acne: I have been fighting acne for about 6 years now. I am female and already 21 years old.. I am absolutely horrified about the way my skin looks and it makes me cry and get upset A LOT... Well I am on birth control, which seems do to pretty much nothing... And I have used Duac and Epiduo in the past. I have very sensitive and dry, but also broken out skin ...
  10. I noticed about a week ago my pores have been getting huge and every time i washed it little whiteheads or blackheads would stick out. So over the course of maybe 3 nights afte every shower i have picked and popped away at as many as i could. Every time i pop blackheads around my nose/inner cheek area it become very pink and swollen for about an hour or 2 but then goes down. I didn't really worry until i noticed the next day my skin near my nose and my inner cheeks were all raw-scaly,shiny,and c
  11. I'm not sure if this is rosacea or just the fact that I have really sensitive skin, but I've noticed that my face will just suddenly get very warm and pink and suddenly get very oily throughout the day. It definitely happens more when the weather is very warm, but it's like my face is being heated from the inside and almost like there's a layer of saran wrap on top of my skin that's keeping it from "breathing." It's a really strange feeling and is very uncomfortable and not too attractive either
  12. My cousin recommended the product Panoxyl to me because I had tried Proactive and it hadn't made a difference, but my mom bought a high concentration (10%) and makes me use it because she said she can't afford to buy a new product. It makes my face extremely dry, red, and itchy, and I tried too use Aveeno moisturizers, but they burn my face. I can't even tell if the product is working, but after a few weeks, my face still isn't clear. The medication is the ONLY face product I use. I didn't k
  13. I've been on claravis 60mg for 5 months now I weight 175 pounds. I don't know if I should stop it before causes me damages. Since the second month I been getting rash like skin spots on my face. I was given Synalar by my doctor but I am still experiencing this. My eyes are really dry and sometimes get blurry. But what really scared me was having blood in my stool. I am going to see the dermatologist tomorrow should I tell her not to give me the next month supply or are these side effects tempor
  14. Why is my skin still red and irritated at week 4 will it eventually go away ?
  15. hello everyone, I normally am just the type to google my skin concerns and scroll thru millions of articles each night hoping I can find a miracle cure or something. I am a 17 year old girl, just short of 18, and I devolped acne when I was in eighth grade. acne hit my like a bus, when I was in eighth grade I would get millions of tiny whiteheads and small come done bumps on my forehead and nowhere else. I was put on loryna birth control, and a type of differin or adapelene gel. I don't really re
  16. The center 1/3 of my forehead is my problem area and although it is oily and acne prone (clogged pores/blackheads mainly), it looks scaly and red ALL THE TIME. I am not sure why this is the case because the redness does not improve no matter what I do. I am wondering if it is red from the amount of harsh products I have used on it in the last year. Anyhow, I am looking for a cream or moisturizer that could repair this skin and get rid of the redness without causing any clogged pores or acne. Doe
  17. So about 2 years ago I started using a neutrogena daily scrub that has salicylic acid in it.it help clear up my acne well but it made my nose turn red and it has been like that for 2 years. I started using a prescrided Acanya product in which you apply the gel after you shower 1 time a day and it sort of helps my dance but made my nose worse! Its main ingredients are clindamycin Phosphate and benzoyl peroxide. Can someone help me get rid of this redness and my acne too?? Please I need it! If you
  18. I'm about to start month FIVE out of six on accutane, and my face still looks awful. Dry patches all over my face. Awfully chapped lips. Tired ALL THE TIME. It's mostly just red little scabby things but they have been there for EVER. Like literally at least 2-3 weeks... Why isn't my skin better??? That's my biggest concern and fear.... I use coconut oil on my skin in the shower, and neutrogena oil free moisturizer... Neutrogena make up remover wipes on my skin.,. Is any if this making it worse
  19. This is my 57 day update and I have a tendency to pop the black heads on my checks so it looks like I'm breaking out but really I just cause the spots my self. The black heads are just so large and look pop able but it always looks worse after. Oh well. I have about 5 active pimples and my face just feels a lot cleaner , not really less greasy yet but healthier and happier. I can tell it's going somewhere, which makes me very happy. Starting month 3 soon and hoping my blood tests come out better
  20. I have been on the regimen for 4 months, starting after Thanksgiving 2019. My skin was super flaky and dry around the mouth area for the entire period of use. My skin has shown a significant difference in bumps and pimples, but after 4 months I started experiencing itchy red spots (not pimples or acne) more like a allergic reaction. Redness spots started to appear at the bottom of my chin, on both sides of my cheeks. My skin completely flared up with a reaction. I stopped using the regimen once
  21. Hey, so this is my first post on this website, and I'm hoping I can find someone who can help. I'm a 19 year old male, and since around the age of 14 I've had acne. But for a period from about February to mid-June, I was extraordinarily stupid and washed my face about three times a day, and also believed the crap that people say about how apple cider vinegar helps your acne. It doesn't, it just dries out your skin and makes it very red. Anyway, I've stopped in June, and since then I've found a r
  22. I am 27. When I was younger I battled acne using a variety of solutions - acne cleansers, proactiv, excessive face washing, toothpaste, scratching, popping, etc! My acne has mostly cleared up as I've aged (aside from blackheads all over my nose). For the past 5-6 years, I battle a new problem: any time my face comes into contact with water (or even touching), my skin breaks up, becomes chalky, and white. The most affected areas are my nose, mouth, chin, and between eyebrows. I have dry skin o
  23. Hey everyone, I was wondering when it would be okay to use a personal microdermabrasion treatment or to get a microdermabrasion treatment from a spa professional/dermatologist after accutane? How long should I wait? (PS- I haven't actually STARTED accutane yet. I'm starting in a month. I was thinking ahead for all my hyper pigmentation that is and will be leftover after treatment)
  24. I've been lurking on the forums for a while and finally decided to make an account because I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. First here's a little background on my skin: Started breaking out when I was 17 (I'm 19 now). Close to a year ago I went to a dermatologist, and was put on bp, clindamyicin (sp?), and tretinoin .025. The combo got me almost 100% clear in 6 months, but was still irritating my skin, so we switched my regimen to differin (.1%) and minocycline
