  1. Here's the background info: Started regimen a long, long time ago. About four years ago. After 5ish months on it I was baby face clear and stayed that way for about half a year. Mind you, during this time I could eat ANYTHING and not be affected. It was a good time. Flash Forward to now, my skin isn't that great. It's typically a week long breakout (1-2 zits a day, for a week) follow by a week of healing/red spots, followed up by two-three days of clear, nice looking skin. Only to break
  2. Hello, i am new and need some advice/guidance. I am currently 23 female with cystic acne. I have had acne since I was 10-11 started puberty at 9. It wasn't too bad looking back on it it was normal zits that went away. 2 years around I started getting hard lumps on my face that would come to a head. I think I was over drying my skin with over the counter products when I already have dry skin to begin with. Now I am stuck.. I have tried so many options from over the counter to holistic and fitness
  3. Hey! I'm a 17 year old male and have had problems with red face after showers for a few years now. But it seems to get worse now when my acne is worse. When I shower my face, especially nose gets red a few minutes after. The thing is that sometimes I don't get red at all after showering, and sometimes i get really red. I'll show a picture of when my face is the worst. My face also get very red easily when exercising. I dont know if i have rosacea or not, as im only 17. For a lot of people the
  4. Hello! For the last 3 years or so I have searched online for answers about why my skin was so red. Could it be from my acne? Could I have rosacea before I was even 30? Would it ever go away? Who else had this kind of redness that I did? I am here to post my progress, and maybe be of some kind of reference or guidance to someone else who is searching for answers, sees my skin, and can relate. I had always had some kind of acne since I was about 11. I never did NOT have some kind of blemish on my
  5. It's my 3rd day on the regimen treatment and my face is stinging. It's not an intense pain so i can handle it but the pain lasts for 3-4 hours after I use it. Is this normal? And my the creases on my face are quite red like under my eyes and between my nose and mouth. Should I expect this ?
  6. I've noticed that when I'm outside and it's either really cold and windy, or only a slightly cold wind, that once I'm back indoors, my nose gets really red. Almost like a flush. Does this happen to any of you guys?
  7. Hi. I'm 16 years old and suffered from acne for a couple of years now. I have small, flesh coloured bumps all over my face (Forehead, Cheeks, Chin). I also have lots of blackheads on my nose. Recently, I've broken out loads (Whiteheads) over my jawline. It's really affecting my self esteem and social life. I have oily skin which is quite read and after a spot has disappeared, It leaves a red mark which seems to last a while. I use Neutrogena oil free cleanser, followed by a pore refining
  8. Hello. I recommend you view my other post before reading this one but if not it’s all good. Before I started accutane i had pretty bad facial redness. I fully blame benzoyl peroxide, and my dermatologist. I was prescribed BP at age 12 or 13 and i’d slather that stuff on my face. It has damaged it quite a bit. Anyways i’m on my last month of accutane switching between 80 mg to 120 every other day. My acne is cleared (just a few red spots from previous acne that should go away with time) and i’m h
  9. Hi everyone! So I am an 18 year old male who has moderate acne. However it is very consistent on my chin, usually 1 or 2 pimples, always hanging around. I was on accutane for about 7 months which I regret going on because it never fully cleared me and my acne wasn't that bad from the start. I ended up wanting to get off accutane because the symptoms were getting old and it wasn't working like I wanted it to. I do have fair skin and a natural bit of redness to my face, however accutane turned my
  10. A few days ago, I used benzoyl peroxide 10% on my acne, and all of a sudden my face turned red and became kind of dry and a tiny bit swollen. It isn't that bad, it's not even that red, but it's enough to annoy me. I want to get rid of this redness by next Monday, since I am going on a trip where I might not have time to apply concealer over these red areas each morning, but it is taking a while to heal. Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of this redness/irritation from benzoyl peroxide

  12. Unfortunately I'm back on the forms (again) Thorough the year and a half I've been on the regimen I've noticed a few things - Skin is freakishly awesome in the summer/spring months - Skin is freakishly red/irritated/dry/disgusting in the winter months - For me, even though I've been on the Regimen twice a day for nearly TWO years, my face is still a little red - Random breakouts are a part of life Why I'm I telling you this? Because I'm pissed off. A few weeks back I had a friend come in tow
  13. Hi im 5 foot 10 and weigh 140 pounds and I've been on accutane for a little over 2 months the first month I was taking 20 mg a day and the second month I was taking 30 mg a day during the middle of the second month my face stopped being red and pink for like 4 days I thought it was over! I just recently started to was my face once a day w
  14. Hi I am a 15 year old male and i have had acne for about 3 years now. I have used many different products including differin and proactiv on my skin and they havent worked. I also have oily skin and am now just using a cleanse, tone, moisturise routine twice a day and am taking a multi vitamin. I am yet to see any significant improvement but i will keep trying. My face is a pasty red sort of colour and i dont know why, I also have lost my ability to tan (i used to be able to tan well). I live
  15. 20 year old male. Sometimes I break out and sometimes I don't. Honestly, this is how it goes down. I have clear skin and then I go out on the weekend, party/drink a lot/barely sleep at all and then by Tuesday I am breaking out. By Friday I am clear again and the process repeats itself. Terrible I know. Anyways, I am using Differin 0.3% every night and Acanya every morning. Mousturize morning and night. My face seems to always be red. I don't know what it is. I am barely ever in the sun (work ind
  16. As we all know from experience that after using any amount of isotretanoin or Accutane our skin tone changes from our natural olive skin tone to a pinkish pale skin tone. Even one year later going Paleo and Caveman skin tone remains the same pinkish but no longer receiving any acne thanks to a change in diet. I have only been off isotretanoin for one year after 3 1/2 months of applying topical isotretanoin every day to my face. Is there anybody out there who stopped using topicals all together a
  17. Hi, Just joined this forum and have been struggling with acne for 4 years now. Im 16. But i have extremely sensetive skin from acne medicine and it seems that every time i put moisturizer on it almost gets worst. How can i prevent my face from always being so red?
  18. Hello! So 2 weeks ago I decided to buy a 5% BP gel. I also changed my cleanser to Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser after using another one with SA for around 2 years. I decided to change because I thought the combination of BP and SA would irretate my skin too much. After the first day of applying the BP i barely felt anything. The next day i started to feel a bit of a burning senastion and the third day my face was incredible flaky, red and burning. So i stopped for a day to let my face cool d
  19. Hi everyone I've never posted about my acne in a forum before so please bare with me. I've had severe/mild acne for 10 years now it started when I was 17 I'm now 27. over the ten years it's gone from just being a few spots on my chin to being my forehead, nose, cheeks etc I've used Quinoderm and panoxyl before and am now 8 weeks into dans regimen which has made a difference but I'm still struggling with certain things such as a very oily t zone which if I moisturize it it's still super oily and
  20. Hi I've been on accutane for a little over a month and for the first month I was taking 20 mg a day. 4 days ago I got bumped up to 30 mg a day. My face was always a little pink from proactive which kinda helped. But my face is really starting to clear up! Since ive been on accutane. But ever since I have been on accutane my face is ether really red or pink! I skateboard everyday so I'm in the sun 6 hours a day. I wear SPF 55 oil free sunscreen wile I'm in the sun a reapply it every 1 to 2 hours
  21. I look around for this question and people say a acne red marks can't be permanent.I was on 40mg of accutane for 8 months,in the first month I got the worst inital breakout anyone could see, it was ... all over my face. I took prednison for a few weeks and 1 1/2 months later the most of it was gone. Since then probably somewhere around August, my face has been pretty smooth, but very red. I've tried 50% glycolic peels(the last one for acctually 42 mins) , I've used differin from the first da
  22. Hey Ive been doing a 6 month long accutane course. At the end I got pretty much clean and had about just 1-2 pimples left. ive been off accutane for about 3 months now probably and ive pretty much stayed clean all the time ,except 1-2 pimples off and on. Now the last week or so ive got some very small pimples around in my face. They are very small, but still abit annoying. Will my acne come back? or is this just somethings that happens once a while and gets over after some time. ? thanks for
  23. From the album: Left over red face :(

after years of taking acne tablets and loads of differnt creams, as well as accutane! this is how damn horrid red face, trust me it looks worse then this picture...
  24. I have the Acne.org sample kit. I have always used Cetaphil lotion to moisturize my face, but even though it's my preferred moisturizer of all out there, I also suspected it's a little bit pore clogging a as it's kind of heavy. Not bad enough to give it up what so ever, unless of course I find a better one out there. Currently I'm not using the full kit and haven't been all year. My acne has been mild, so I do not use Benzoyl Peroxide if I don't feel I have to, so this is not from the Benzoyl Pe
  25. Hi I've just started 10mg of accutane a day I'm 16. I'm into my 12th day today and it does sort of seem that the accutane is helping. On the 10th morning I used a tea tree oil wipe across all my face if did not fed what else was in the wipes, silly me! I woke up yesterday on the 11th day and my face was very pink on where I wiped myself with the tea tree oil wipe I'm just wondering could it be that the wipe has caused my face to go red because it accutane makes my skin sensitive or is it just th
