    Accutane Day 33

I went to the gym a few days ago and my muscles are still hurting. This is very unusual for me and I've noticed a lot more aches and pains. Not to mention my back and neck hurt after sitting for a while. I figure this must be associated with the accutane as I've read similar stories in the past. The worst was this morning when I tried to blow-dry my hair; my joints (elbows) got so sore I had to keep taking breaks. I'm surprised the joint pain has happened this early and worried that is a ba

    First Update

Ok! So a brief history. I was a late bloomer with acne, it started getting bad my senior year of high school and peaked my freshman year of college. I had pimples all over my face, mostly on my cheeks, around my mouth, and my chin. They were those nice inflammed suckers with a white head you just want to pop. I assume the stress of going away to college had alot to do with it but I was a mess, and had a ton of scars. I started retina around november that year as a last ditch effort. My doctor ha

    raw honey and olive oil

does anyone have any experience using raw, unprocessed honey as a cleanser and olive oil as a moisturizer? would you recommend either, or both? thanks

    Day 2

Yesterday I followed everything exactly as the day before except I wore makeup during the day. I'm glad to say that my face has not worsened, in fact I think my blackheads are less noticeable and my complexion looks slightly less bumpy. My skin feels clean even when I wake up which is strange because normally it's extremely oily. The only thing I can complain about is how long it takes at night and the smell of my toner, but if it works it's totally worth it. I will update tomorrow and from then

    Honey

This is my story I had moderate to severe acne vulgaris when I realized I needed to do something. I was smoking a pack a day, lots of weed and every drug you can think of I took on regular basis and drank a lot to and ate nothing but mcdonalds and other fast food any and all junk food was my diet with a few 52 ounce sodas every day and absolutely no water and very poor hygiene. One day I was with friends and the looked at me like I was a monster and started treating me differently which was a re

  7. Hello, As most of you guys here I have been suffering from acne since 6yrs now and I have used every products out there. Oral medication, retin-a, obagi nu derm, PCA, PC, clean&clear etc. Obagi did clear my skin but i started getting peels done to get the perfect skin I wanted. In the end I ended up with the worst skin I have ever had. My skin is super dehydrated but there's alot of over production of oil from using all sorts of drying products. Long story short I stopped using all chemi
  8. So I have given up on BP and Dan's cleanser, and most cleansers for that matter (they make my face wayyyy too dry. Same goes for the BP). So I decided to switch to all-natural products, namely tea tree for starter's. I was attracted to the idea of treating my acne with an oil, something that won't (or shouldn't) dry out my face. So far since starting this routine I haven't had any major problems with acne (I've always had at least a few active pimples) or dryness. Mostly my problem right no

    21 years with acne

I'm 34 and I've been suffering with acne for 21 years! It gets better and worse in cycles. Normally, I have maybe a week of "okay" skin, not counting my hyperpigmentation pockmarks and constant blackheads, then the rest of the month, it's at least 2 cystic bumps, along with 2-5 whiteheads a day. I hate looking in the mirror and I cake on the makeup when I have to face the world. It's gotten real old. When i get depressed about my acne, or when I'm researching a new, "miracle", I always end u
  10. Edit: read the last post if you want to see what has finally worked for me! Link for pictures too. After being in very low spirits about my skin, I researched the Internet for what seems like half the day yesterday. While reading over a post on acne.org, labeled, "The bad list", I realized the natural organic crap I've been using as a face wash, contained 2 comedogenic ingredients, at the top of the ingredients list. smh. What was I thinking?! Instead of sulking, I tried really hard to
  11. Ok so alittle over a month in. My skin is less dry flakey all the time but still alittle peely. My biggest problem is the stress of medical school is making my face picking really bad and I am giving myself scars picking at very small or nonexistent clogged pores. The honey really helps heal my face wounds and keep my skin plump and hydrated even with the retin a. This is my second time breaking my skin into retin a and so far nothing has worked as well as a gentle clensor as this raw honey!

    Accutane Day 7

So, Things are going alright. My initial bad breakout seems to be healing pretty well(i do keep raw honey on my face whenever i can so I'm sure thats helping) and i have very minor dry skin. Unfortunately it's the internal issues that are getting to me. I've been suffering from abdominal pain and other things i won't describe.. Theres also been some bleeding! So I'm a bit worried. I have been drinking a lot on the weekend, this could be contributing? I'm very nervous... Have to take advil f
  13. I am almost two months in, and I am having an absolute melt down. My skin is so much worse than it has ever been. After a week without too many new breakouts but deep flaking and constantly redness stinging and blotchiness I started doing coconut oil twice a day under my aloe vera and washing with sunflower oil instead of face wash or honey. I will say it helped with the blotchiness and peeling alot, and helped center myskin back to normal in terms of dryness. However, for the past couple of day
  14. I have pimples on my forehead which sometimes come to heads , but not always. I also have little (really tiny) pimples on my cheeks, caused by Cetaphil I think, but this cleanser seems not to clog my forehead pores that any others I've tried. Would raw honey help? and how long should I leave it on for
  15. I would love to hear your tips. Manuka or raw? Worked for you or doesn't? What else you are doing? Any bc pills? Topicals? Diets? Or any home remedies! 16. I've had acne since I was around 12 ( I am now 15, female). I am stressed out as I have GCSE's and everything, but my acne started when I was just in year 7, when I wasn't stressed at all, so i dont know if theres a link here? My acne is now mild' but I haven't had clear skin since I was in primary school and it gets me down so much. I get a cluster of tiny pimples in the middle of my forehead, so its not even a case of being able to pop a pimple. ( I never pick at my skin). I also took lymec
