  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAD0DEUw520 I was on 40mg a day for the entire 6 months! I had no side effects other than the dryness but I did keep a very healthy lifestyle while taking it! Nothing else worked for me but this, it was the best decision I ever made probably.
  2. Hey guys, im starting my accutane and wanted to let you guys know how it goes! Im a 15 y/o male thats 6'1 155. I started getting Acne when i was about 12 (yes) and it has progressed since then. Currently i have acne on my Chin, Forehead, and Back. I am on 40mg claravis a day (the exact same thing as accutane, except just a generic brand, so don't worry) lol Acne was getting sort of terrible for me being an athlete and such, almost always having sweat or oil on my face and it started suckin

    Day 14 (right side)

    From the album: Acne Progress

  4. About a year ago I was put on Accutane because I started getting cystic and nodular acne. That was... shit. But it helped for a few months before my acne came back. It first came back as whiteheads and pustules -which I didn't mind- but then recently started turning into cysts/nodules. With the lack of dermatologists in the area, I decided I had to do something on my own. I tried birth-control first; hated it. After that, I landed on Spironolactone. So here it goes... Day 1, 2 & 3: No side

    4th week on Yasmin

The first month is over (: It's my first day on my stop week after 21 pills. My skin is still the same, haven't noticed any major improvements of my blemishes. In the last 2 weeks I've only gotten a few big pimples on my forehead. On my cheeks are still the blemishes from my initial breakout. I'm starting today with a new skincare product, Paula's choice 2% BHA lotion. It claims to brighten up my post acne marks. Hopefully it will do his job. Overall it was a good first month and I hope my perio

    3 Month Mark

Hi readers, I apologize for not updating in awhile, but I hadn't had much change to write about until now. I just entered my 4th month on Zenatane and have noticed a few new things. First off, my skin is about 99% clear right now! Its a wonderful feeling to be able to just walk outside without any makeup on and feel confident. I have noticed some minor scaring and a few very tiny ice pick marks but I am trying not to be too concerned about them because I know isotretenoin can make scars more
  7. Hi guys I don’t usually post much online but I came across this site a few months ago and thought it might be worth sharing my experience in case it might encourage/help others in a similar position. I have had acne since I was about 12 years old, and it’s been pretty consistently bad since then (10 years). It has always been particularly bad on my face (especially my chin area) and my back. I never really tried any medication when I was a teenager, just different facial creams/cleaners

    The Beginning

I have been struggling with acne since I was about 15. I'm almost 18 now and my acne just recently got so bad that I couldn't stand anyone seeing me without makeup. This is the worst my acne has ever been. I cry almost every night because I feel so disgusted when I look in the mirror, and I hate having to put so much makeup on just to feel like I can walk out the door. I recently discovered The Regimen through YouTube testimonies. I was so excited to hear about an acne treatment that I couldn't

    Update 5/7/13

Updates! My skin has been doing great and I've been picking less! I think I picked two times within the week.. and it was the same spot haha, didn't do much damage I've really kicked the habit of gluing myself to the mirror and killing my skin. I just got a renewal on my minocycline prescription but my derm said that they ran out of duac samples! D: so I might be getting the BP and the clindamycin separately within the next week..... I cant wait for that! As for pimples, I got one on my rig
  10. Do you remember that course on Mario Kart called "Wario Stadium" where all throughout the track, you were faced with massive bumps to ride over? Well that's my face. Not only are there bumps everywhere, but if they were just the slightest bit bigger, I swear a car actually could drive over them. So week two on Oratane/Roaccutane. Probably one of the hardest weeks with my skin I've had to face in a long time. I'm guessing week three with be much of the same. In my last post, I asked whether p

    Day 31

My dosage has been upped to 60 mg per day, so two 30 mg tablets each day! I'm super excited to up my dosage because I just want to get better as soon as possible! My skin is still dry and my lips still chapped, but other than that not really noticing any other side effects. Excited to see what 60 mg will bring! Not so many pimples are popping up as well, which is making me notice my scars a whole lot more. So that sucks, but hey, hopefully new ones will stop forming! Does anyone know good s
  12. I almost forgot to post this, but then I remembered, TWO MONTHS! YAY!!! So, two months on Roaccutane. Hopefully it's going to be uphill from here on out. You'd be surprised to know that I finally got my script sent out, but it's the WRONG DAMN SCRIPT. So it will probably be another 6-10 years before the correct one will arrive. So, I'm still on 60mg. My skin isn't looking too bad at the moment. It is definitely smoother, for sure. I'm very, very dry all over my body though. My arms, my
  13. I spent the first few minutes of the new year crying. Yup, I sobbed because my skin was not what I wanted it to be before the new year hit. I decided not to wear makeup that day, and the harsh reality of my acne just teared me apart. I whimpered along my cousins shoulder, and hugged after talking to her about my self esteem issues. With much encouragement, she advised I move on and keep on finding something that can help me out without going to see a dermatologist. I tried my best and looked up

    Day 15 - Changes

Hi guys so I'm really enjoying this idea of me blogging everyday on my skin, its very relaxing for me and its a nice way for me to unwind at the end of the day! Progress: So today I woke up and it was my time of the month, sorry if this is TMI but I thought I'd add it becayse usually around this time I'd get a few more breakouts. I surprisingly didn't have a huge pimple anywhere, but i did notice a 2 or 3 tiny pimples on my forehead but theyre tiny, barely noticeable Also the big under the sk
  15. Hi everyone, So over the past few days I got probably 5 to 10 new zits that were on my cheeks. They were all pretty small, but I was worried that my IB was starting. But when I looked in the mirror this afternoon, my face was not nearly as bad as I thought it was. So, I think that some of the zits that I got just went away because they were so small. Still, not really experiencing any intense dryness. I obviously do have some dryness but it's not bad enough for me to be using mois

    Before Pictures

Okay so - I wanted to share some before pictures. This is when I had hit my breaking point... I would have seriously burned off my face if it meant a beautiful new one would magically appear. I had stopped going to the dermatologist because the one I was seeing wouldn't believe me when I said everything I was dealing with on my face was totally hormonal and none of the stuff I had was working. I had been seeing her for about a year and a half. LUCKILY I found someone else but anyway... here's th

    week 1 ends!

My first week is finally over! I feel like I've made huge progress. I'm uploading comparison pictures, but it seems that they have to be approved before I can display them, so they'll be coming eventually. I've been sticking to my routine of washing and doing my regimen in the morning, going about my day, doing a workout and then showering at night and doing my nighttime regimen. I've also been consistently consuming more water. I've put together a pitcher in my fridge just for water, so I can s

    Accutane Derm Appointment

Hello hello Well I saw my term today and the appointment ended with 'Well I hope we don't see each other again' He's given me another month of 60mg and told me to finish what I've got left so I'll be done with accutane in less than 2 months!! He also said not to do anything for scarring for a good year after accutane but said in that time I should see a good improvement with the scars. What a brilliant day it is! Hope you're all good cf x

    Week 4

From the album: AHA & Retinol

One month has gone by and I'm seeing some progress here and there! I'm changing my regimen slightly, as mentioned in my blog, and hope to see continuing success and good results.
  20. How's it going everybody? I'm choosing not to share any personal information, but I am a 21 year old male college student starting what I think will be a five month course of prescription accutane, specifically Myorisan. For a little bit of background: Throughout high school I had very, very light acne. We're talking one or two pimples every now and again. I did absolutely nothing to my face and never even thought about it. Towards the end of my senior year and starting with my freshman
  21. SIXSIXSIXSIXSIXSIX. Okay, okay. So currently on 60mg a day. I was meant to be bumped up 10mg but my derms handwriting is so illegible that the script got lost in the mail. What is with health specialist and their crappy handwriting? Hello, I'm paying you $145 a visit, can you at least make it possible for a piece of paper to get to me? Anyway, my skin's kind of meh. I've had about 5 breakouts come up this week, and all of the have been on the right side of my face. It sucks. My lips have be

    Day 11

Day 11, oddly enough my side effects seem to have improved rather than gotten worse? Has this happened to anyone else? This worries me. My dry eyes that were terrible just 2 days ago are now manageable, my dry nose is barely bothering me at all and my dry lips are mild compared to what they were 2 days ago. I know I should probably be extrememly happy but i'm more concerned that it isn't working as well? As far as acne goes I've gotten another little white head on my jaw line... nothing ma

    First Week on Accutane!

My goodness a week already! No changes to report really; the last few days my skin has been SO itchy. I keep putting on moisturiser but when I'm at work with a full face of makeup I just have to put up with it. The dry lips have begun, not too bad.. yet. I've got lip balm everywhere and just put it on all day. Err not much else to say, awaiting the dreaded IB. So I suppose I'll post again when that happens. I had a job interview last week so I'm stressed from choosing whether to le
  24. I have a 4 day time gap between the day I run out of pills and my next doctor check up/refill. Will this complicate or ruin my progress?
