  1. Hey everyone, I am interesting in finding out how other women combat their acne? What types of products you use, where you buy them (how are you willing to spend), how you found them? I am kinda at a loss and also have an interest in getting feedback on this "clean beauty" movement? Do other women use and like cleaner alternatives to some of the current products on the market? I am starting this journey and would love feedback!
  2. To start off, I am going to try and start posting once a month at least, hopefully, more often than that. As for the update on my skin, it hasn't been the best few days. I think that is because I have run out of acidophilus that I pair with spiro, and my skin is not liking that. I forgot to call in the refill before the weekend. As a result of that, I have a few new spots on my cheek that are honestly really bothering me. I can't feel them, but my skin was looking good before this. It might also
  3. I have some scars/decolouration of the skin after some pretty bad acne over the past few years. I have been on doxycycline for around 6 months and my acne is starting to clear but I still have these marks from picking skin etc, and I want to know some of the best/quickest ways to remove and fade the colouring and marks and make my skin clear. Any home treatments, products etc will be appreciated and also anything for future prevention. Also if anyone could tell me what the name of the particular
  4. Hello all, I know there are a few threads of this, but most if not all are very old (5years min) I was hoping to see if anyone active here has used Retin-A after an accutane course? Did your derm suggest it? What dosage did you take to start? How did your skin react to it? Thanks guys!
  5. My struggle with cystic acne started about 2 and 1/2 years ago. I spent the past two and a half years working towards finding a routine that worked for me. It felt very disheartening at times because it was a constant break out for 2 years and it was painful and I couldn't find anything that worked. In the beginning I would use very harsh products that had the benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid in every single product. I'm talking my cleansers, my exfoliators, my treatments, my moisturizers. Ev
  6. I used to see a dermatologist but I stopped because of family insurance problems. My dermatologist gave me pills that helped clear my skin so much! But I can’t get a refill anymore. Since then I continued using the Epiduo Forte she prescribed for the morning and Veltin with Flurandrenolide Lotion USP 0.05% at night. ( This medication is used on the skin to treat acne. This medication is a combination of adapalene (a retinoid) and benzoyl peroxide (an antibiotic and skin-peeling agent). This prod
  7. Ok so since I was 13 (I'm 18 now) I've been struggling with acne. Specifically cystic and pustules. I've been on and off plenty products and have always maintained a acne regime that I never missed a day of since I was at least 16. The only time I never woke up and used a product was when I didn't have any. But nothing EVER seemed to work. So I started wondering maybe it has something to do with my lifestyle. Well I went into the army in September of 2017 while I was 17 and to my surprise my fac
  8. Hi, I am from Spain and I want to know how people from Spain could get this product. I want to buy it but there is no shipping to Spain.
  9. Hi! I got a free bottle of the Body shop's Drops of Youth serum. I have veeery sensitive skin and had my worst cystic acne breakout this summer when I tried going off the acne.org regimen and start using products from The Ordinary. My skin is now back to having lots of scarring but no active breakouts. Now the lady in the store told me that she recommends using this product twice a day, but I'm super careful about what I use on my skin now. But also I'm thinking maybe it will help with my scar
  10. Hello, So I have started using the acne.org regimen and I'm seeing slow but progressive improvements! I live in the U.K and the product is very expensive to get shipped all the way from San Francisco! Can anyone who lives in the U.K give me any recommendations on where I can buy things like 2.5% benzoyl peroxide or the 10% glycolic acid? I'm pretty sure I can get them somewhere but don't know where to shop for them. Any recommendations are welcome!!

so I've recently gone to the doctors and was put on a medication called isotretinoin 10mg, it's really helped and it also I've changed my skincare routine so it's less drying and more hydrating, it has seemed to work and my skin is clearer than ever before literally, i'm enjoying this and the fact that I can eat almost anything except milk and still have clear skin cause the pill I've been prescribed is amazing. LIst of products: ST.IVES Even & Bright pink lemon & mandarin orange sc
  12. My face is finally clear, and I have been using Simple Skin 24 hour Cream but they are discontinuing it. So Sadly I need a new product that wont case me break outs.
  13. Hello hello, It has been well over a month since my last post. I think as the tablets become a daily routine and as your skin starts to clear up, you just seem to forget how big of a deal it was when starting on them and therefore forget to update! So lets just recap... Month 1 I was on 20mg a day - had a horrendous breakout (worst I've very had in my life) Month 2 I was upped to 30mg a day - Breakout continued and was not seeing much improvement. I was almost givi
  14. Hi! So recently, about a week ago I received my Real-U products in the mail. I bought the cleanser, control face gel and lite moisturiser. I actually ran across the store on Instagram and saw a ton of reviews of it that were really positive. Now I know why! This stuff really worked for me! Along with adding Doterra Lemon Oil to my water everyday, this has been the only other thing I've changed in my acne routine and my skin has completely cleared! After struggling with hormonal related for YEARS
  15. Hi, ive been on roaccutane just over a month now, my skin was initially not too bad but I went straight into 40mg dosages which for a slim 16 year old male is a lot. So far it has made my skin worse than ever, both my cheeks are covered in spots. I understand that an initial flare is normal - but surely theres something wrong here? Can someone also tell me which products they recommend? I need a good face wash/moisturiser that will stop my dry peeling skin, but also a lip balm, that will pr
  16. Hello ello ello, So today marks my 1 week of being on Roaccutane. So far, I haven't had many side effects apart from the dry skin which is mainly around my nose and mouth. My skin is a little red but nothing major, kinda just looks I've a bit of a tan on my face so I can't complain! The last few days I've been getting white heads in places I wouldn't usually get them like higher on my cheeks and 2 on my forehead where I NEVER get spots. I find some of them go and come back in the same place
  17. Hey guys, I just wanted to post something different on this forum. I have suffered with acne for 6 years, I have literally tried everything possible and through those six years I have experienced an array of emotions. I have been angry, sad, lonely, depressed, and insecure. I'm not going to tell you that I am at my optimum confidence level or that I even love myself now or more. It seems like people promote that they love themselves after they make their flaws disappear, but that's not always
  18. Hello, I'm from the Philippines and I wanted to share the over-the-counter products I've found that have been working for me. As much as I want to use the original Acne.org products, delivery is way above my budget. I checked the supplies list and scoured the forums, but not many of the products are available here. What I did was look for products that fit the ingredients and description found in the supplies list, and figured they would do. And so far, so good! So just in case there are any
  19. Hello again! Some time ago I decided to order the acne.org products and now I have them. I'm gonna start using them today. I don't live in the USA so with the shipping and tax and stuff it cost almost double than what you think it will cost Hopefully I will get some results in a month or so. Bye!
  20. I'm thinking of starting the regimen, since it seems like it has helped a lot of people, but I'm not sure if I want to use alle the products. I allready have a cleanser I like because it's very gentle and not very drying(I've heard the regimen clenaser is quite drying), and since the moisturizer has such bad reviews I thought I'd skip that too( I have my own moisturizer) and only try the benzoyl peroxide. The benzoyl peroxide is supposed to be the actual treatment though, isn't it? Anyhow, woul
  21. Hi everyone, I need help. I still get pimples here and there but not what I used to get. I don't know if I should start the acne org regimen, because what I mostly suffer from is scars. I just ordered the aha +glycolic acid to add in my routine to help with scarring seeing that is my main product. I don't want to start the benzoyl peroxide because my skin is sensitive and I know it is very drying! Ugh, I'm unsure of what to do! Should I just get the glycolic acid wash to incorporate into my rout
  22. End of day 6 on myorisan. Dosage: Derm wanted me to start with full dosage of 80mg. After reading blogs and research articles, I got too worried about the initial breakout, which most sources say can be diminished by starting at lower dose. So I decided to just do 40mg per day and will decide as I go if I want to increase to 80 mg at 2 or 4 weeks. I weigh 67kg by the way, so 40mg would be about .5mg/kg which is the recommended starting dose. Side effects: No side effects so far as I ca
  23. Just wondering if any of these products can "go bad" I've had the Aha treatment for a year now and I haven't been using it and I was wondering if it's still okay to use?

  25. Hi everyone, so my friend recommend me these: She said it actually cleared her skin and made it smooth and youthful. She said it may help me with my blemishes and prevent future breakouts. I was just wondering, would any of you guys recommend this? Or has anyone ever tried it? What was your experience with this stuff? Thank you guys.
