  1. I'm thinking of starting the regimen, since it seems like it has helped a lot of people, but I'm not sure if I want to use alle the products. I allready have a cleanser I like because it's very gentle and not very drying(I've heard the regimen clenaser is quite drying), and since the moisturizer has such bad reviews I thought I'd skip that too( I have my own moisturizer) and only try the benzoyl peroxide. The benzoyl peroxide is supposed to be the actual treatment though, isn't it? Anyhow, woul
  2. Hello! I was wondering if it's okay to replace Dan's cleanser with Cetaphil's and Dan's moisturizer with Cerave's but still use Dan's treatment at the same time? Please reply, help is genuinely appreciated!
  3. Okay so i've been reading a lot that people do not need skin care products, and I completely believe this. But what if your skin is so messed up from genes and a long time of being unhealthy? Also, what if the products are 100% natural and organic? For me, i've been eating healthy (the paleo diet) for half a year, been supplementing on and off, and use 100% natural and organic face skin-care products, yet my skin is trash. What are your answers and thoughts, please comment!!
  4. So i heard from many theories that dairy products may cause/exacerbate acne symptoms. I have cut out diary completely out of my life for around half a year now, but to be honest I didn't feel as if it affected my acne much. As the severity of my pimples did subside a tiny bit, I believe it was more due to my healthy lifestyle (I sleep at least 8 hours, drink 2 liters of water, eat veggies and fruit) than the actual eliminating of the dairy. SO i figured, my acne is probably still due to hor
  5. does anyone have any suggestions for shopping in new zealand?
  6. Hey guys! I need your help. So Im happy to report that Im 90% clear . But Im having two problems and I would really appreciate any help you can give me. First problem is that I have a lot of red marks and general redish spots where acne used to be. How do I get rid of that? Which products are the best to use and how much time will it take for them to disappear? The other problem I am having is that my complexion of skin is worse than before, the colour is uneven. I have a little bit more darke
  7. are there cleansers and mosturisers in can mix on my own because i cant find any listed
  8. Hello all, Newbie to the regimen here. Been trawling these boards and the internet for the past few days trying to figure out what BP I can use. Like a lot of folk I am having no luck in finding 2.5%BP but I do have 10% Duac which I was prescribed by the doctor. Do you think it would be worth trying that out? So far I am using: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (Missing out the BP, really bad!) Cetaphil Moisturiser I don't want to order the acne.org stuff from the US as it's so expensive to
  9. Okay so I have moderate acne, and I've been dealing with acne for the past five years. I've been on a little bit of everything. I've tried differin, and retin-a, benzaclyn, and much more. However, now is the first time I've had a real regimen, and I'm more informed. My question though, is how do you know when you're using too many different products? My roommate made a comment "you use so much face stuff" the and it got me thinking. Just for reference, I'm still struggling with moderate acne on
  10. 11. Hello all, I know there are a few threads of this, but most if not all are very old (5years min) I was hoping to see if anyone active here has used Retin-A after an accutane course? Did your derm suggest it? What dosage did you take to start? How did your skin react to it? Thanks guys!
  12. Ok so since I was 13 (I'm 18 now) I've been struggling with acne. Specifically cystic and pustules. I've been on and off plenty products and have always maintained a acne regime that I never missed a day of since I was at least 16. The only time I never woke up and used a product was when I didn't have any. But nothing EVER seemed to work. So I started wondering maybe it has something to do with my lifestyle. Well I went into the army in September of 2017 while I was 17 and to my surprise my fac
  13. Hi! I got a free bottle of the Body shop's Drops of Youth serum. I have veeery sensitive skin and had my worst cystic acne breakout this summer when I tried going off the acne.org regimen and start using products from The Ordinary. My skin is now back to having lots of scarring but no active breakouts. Now the lady in the store told me that she recommends using this product twice a day, but I'm super careful about what I use on my skin now. But also I'm thinking maybe it will help with my scar
  14. Hello, So I have started using the acne.org regimen and I'm seeing slow but progressive improvements! I live in the U.K and the product is very expensive to get shipped all the way from San Francisco! Can anyone who lives in the U.K give me any recommendations on where I can buy things like 2.5% benzoyl peroxide or the 10% glycolic acid? I'm pretty sure I can get them somewhere but don't know where to shop for them. Any recommendations are welcome!!
  15. Hello, I'm from the Philippines and I wanted to share the over-the-counter products I've found that have been working for me. As much as I want to use the original Acne.org products, delivery is way above my budget. I checked the supplies list and scoured the forums, but not many of the products are available here. What I did was look for products that fit the ingredients and description found in the supplies list, and figured they would do. And so far, so good! So just in case there are any
  16. Just wondering if any of these products can "go bad" I've had the Aha treatment for a year now and I haven't been using it and I was wondering if it's still okay to use?
  17. Goal: To tighten skin, remove acne dark spots, prevent future breakouts, and remove acne scars. 18. Hi, new member here, but I've been struggling with my acne for years. I don't have cystic acne, but I still think my previous pimples were pretty bad. Most of my pimples occur on my forehead, blackheads and whiteheads on my nose, and the occasional pimples on my chin. Also, my face gets really oily. In recent months my face has calmed down, though, so I think I must be doing something right. Here's what I've been doing with my skin, for those who would like to know: Morning & Night: - Was
  19. Hello All, So I guess I'll just jump into it: today is my first day of using minimal products on my skin! I'm going to attempt to do an edited version of the "caveman regimen". My new regimen involves putting aside all of my chemical face washes, lotions, soaps, and makeup... well, for the most part. As of right now, I have a bright red spot that will most likely scar (sigh) and a small blemish right smack on the center of my chin that I am covering with a very light foundation. Other th
  20. Hello everyone, new member to the site here I'm a 19 year old male. I've had some light-mild acne since my younger teen years. My cheeks and chin has always been totally clear. The problem areas are my forehead and nose. The problem is blackheads! I do get the odd whitehead once in a while but for the most part, it's not an issue. In the past I've tried multiple products such as 'AcneFree' and 'Proactiv'. Both cause my skin to be really dry and spotty, and usually causing a pretty bad b
  21. Hi everyone, so my friend recommend me these: She said it actually cleared her skin and made it smooth and youthful. She said it may help me with my blemishes and prevent future breakouts. I was just wondering, would any of you guys recommend this? Or has anyone ever tried it? What was your experience with this stuff? Thank you guys.
  22. Hi everyone. About a year ago I had the worst breakout of my life. I starred using Trader Joe's Tea tree oil, TeaTree oil Facewash, and aloe vera gel. My skin cleared and it was at it's best. During the summer, I ran out of my aloe so I went to pick up some more, only to be shocked that Trader Joe's changed the formula in their aloe. I bought it anyway, but it had a scent that irritated my skin. I then switched to Fruit Of the Earth aloe. I've been using it and it's been breaking me out and put
  23. I've recently gotten rid of all my acne on my forehead but these small bumps are left over. They're not hard (can't be scratched/ exfoliated off) and when when u touch them they're not that "raised". They're really only noticeable in natural light. I've tried continuing the acne treatments that worked to clear my acne but they have no effect one these. what is this called and how do I get rid of it? BTW excuse my horrible eyebrows in the picture
  24. A Guys Guide To Accutane I decided to make this "guide" because before I started Accutane, I did some research on side effects & noticed that most of the posts were female based. I thought there should be some advice for men too. A quick background on me: I'm 35 yrs old & have had mild/moderate acne since I was 16. I've tried everything from topicals to antibiotics with nothing ever curing me ...or even coming close. The last few years the acne changed to a mix of everything - sma
