  1. I literally have tried every possible solution. I have had acne for over 20 years now and I know first hand the emotional damage that alters your personality and causes terrible depression. Often I have just wanted to die or live alone forever. I have tried every single product on the planet and nothing worked. I was having some other health issues that led me to take a product called plexus. It partly involved a pro biotic and a bio cleanse pill that I took every day. That stared help
  2. hello everyone, i just though i should post an update to let you all know how my actuate treatment is going... So i have been on actuate for just over 3 months (14 weeks) now and i can finally say that i have had no new major breakouts on my face for a week (YAAAAAAY) !!! BUT... the top of my back is at its worst. i have so many spots on the top of my back, my shoulders and some at the top of my chest (just below my neck in-between my collar bones) which sucks because they are
  3. I started accutane 1.5 months ago, and decided I'd share my experience with everyone as well as give my suggestions as to what worked for me and what I could have done differently. As I'm only approaching the 50% completion mark, I figure I would do two posts in this thread. One obviously now, and the other towards the end of my 5 month regimen. A little background first - I'm 26 years old and have struggled off and on with acne since 15. It was probably around 18 when I was prescribed
  4. This post is for women who wear makeup but are unsure what makeup brands won't cause/irritate acne and work well with the flaking that bp causes plus other skincare products that have been controlling my acne. My acne started when I was 13/14 and I still struggle with break outs in my 20s. However, the regimen has really helped to control my acne to the point where I'm not self conscious about my skin with my makeup. My acne is moderate and I have combination skin which makes makeup application
  5. How long does a product have to sit on skin to clog it? Like I have leave in conditioner for my hair that I rinse off my skin thoroughly, but would it sitting on my skin for 20 mins already be too late and clog my pores? I assume a lotion would clog pores cause you leave it on all day and sometimes even sleep in it. But what if you come in contact with a hair conditioner like I said? I'm paranoid a tad.
  6. For anyone struggling to find a non comedogenic moisturiser have a look at this one. I've just ordered it, I haven't tried it yet so I have no idea what its like but it seems like the only one out there with not really any comedogenic ingredients at all, and ive been searching for hours. Sebamed - Clear Face Care Gel Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Pantenol, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Gel, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Carbomer, Sodium Citrate.
  7. My skin used to be sore, inflamed and embarrassing- due to adult acne... The pain of it meant that even if I wasn't looking in a mirror i couldn't even forget i had acne because I could FEEL THE PAIN OF IT; especially in my cheeks. My partners brother works in skincare and he recommended a product line called 'The ordinary' They are a product line that are ACTIVE ingredients- you know how skin care lines have 'active ingredients' in them- and those active ingredients make up probably
  8. I used to see a dermatologist but I stopped because of family insurance problems. My dermatologist gave me pills that helped clear my skin so much! But I can’t get a refill anymore. Since then I continued using the Epiduo Forte she prescribed for the morning and Veltin with Flurandrenolide Lotion USP 0.05% at night. ( This medication is used on the skin to treat acne. This medication is a combination of adapalene (a retinoid) and benzoyl peroxide (an antibiotic and skin-peeling agent). This prod
  9. Hey everyone, I am interesting in finding out how other women combat their acne? What types of products you use, where you buy them (how are you willing to spend), how you found them? I am kinda at a loss and also have an interest in getting feedback on this "clean beauty" movement? Do other women use and like cleaner alternatives to some of the current products on the market? I am starting this journey and would love feedback!
  10. My face is finally clear, and I have been using Simple Skin 24 hour Cream but they are discontinuing it. So Sadly I need a new product that wont case me break outs.
  11. Hi, ive been on roaccutane just over a month now, my skin was initially not too bad but I went straight into 40mg dosages which for a slim 16 year old male is a lot. So far it has made my skin worse than ever, both my cheeks are covered in spots. I understand that an initial flare is normal - but surely theres something wrong here? Can someone also tell me which products they recommend? I need a good face wash/moisturiser that will stop my dry peeling skin, but also a lip balm, that will pr
  12. Hello, I'm going to start an accutane / isotretinoin treatment very soon, As this stuff can cause dry skin, I've researched for some skincare products. Here is a list of prodcuts that seemed interesting to use alongside Accutane: > Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion from Clinique > Yes to Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash > Aloe Vera Cleansing Milk from De Tuinen (dutch brand) > Lip balm from Burt's Bee Anything else I should consider adding to that list ?
  13. Hi! So recently, about a week ago I received my Real-U products in the mail. I bought the cleanser, control face gel and lite moisturiser. I actually ran across the store on Instagram and saw a ton of reviews of it that were really positive. Now I know why! This stuff really worked for me! Along with adding Doterra Lemon Oil to my water everyday, this has been the only other thing I've changed in my acne routine and my skin has completely cleared! After struggling with hormonal related for YEARS
  14. What products have you guys tried that has faded acne scars? Or you know about? Thanks.
  15. Hey guys..always just been curious about this as there is so much debate whether or not acne products (BP, exfoliators etc..) can cause the skin to become more oily? Does stripping the skin really cause more oil to be produced? Or is it ALL internal... Thoughts?
  16. I have had this one bottle of acne.org BP for around 3-5 months now, and i haven't opened it. I'm running out of the one I am currently using and wondering if this other bottle is still good. Can someone please tell me?
  17. I'm just wondering, as I'm from Australia, and I'm guessing I'm buying from the US, how do they keep the products cool and so they wont, uh, go 'off' or lose their effectiveness? so basically, it won't lose any of it's effectiveness? How long does it usually take to ship + arrive from international shipping?
  18. I am 17 years old and been on Accutane twice. The first round I cleared up pretty well for about 6 to 7 months and started to breakout just as bad as before Accutane. During this time I had used over the counter gentle cleansers and moisturizers but nothing to really treat my acne. I just finished my 2nd round of Accutane in May and Ive noticed that Im already starting to breakout again like the 1st time. Everytime I ask my dermatologist she starts me off with the same products and eventually pu
  19. I'm an Asian 18 yo female with oily/combination skin (one or both of those, not sure actually). My biggest concerns right now are hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores/blackheads (on the nose and t-zone area to either side of the nose). These are the two skin issues I find to be the most difficult to solve. I have a nasty habit of squeezing out my blackheads/pores because they annoy me so much and there doesn't seem to be any other effective methods for getting rid of them. Below is my curre
  20. Do you think it would be better for acne to heal without using so many harsh cleansers/medications/spot treatments? Every time i do, i feel like it just makes my face more red & irritated & sometimes even burns. Is this a bad sign? Should i just leave my face alone & cut down on a lot?
  21. SO....There is this fantastic french soap called Savon De Marseille and i'v been fortunate enough to have discovered this soap thanks to my dad....and i just want to say that i'm honestly in love with it. Iv been using it for my face for a while.. I have combination, acne prone skin and since iv been using it my face has been in the best condition...the soap does not dry you out its actually very moisturizing depending on why type you get. Its not harsh at all and Its vegan, made with olive oil
  22. I have some scars/decolouration of the skin after some pretty bad acne over the past few years. I have been on doxycycline for around 6 months and my acne is starting to clear but I still have these marks from picking skin etc, and I want to know some of the best/quickest ways to remove and fade the colouring and marks and make my skin clear. Any home treatments, products etc will be appreciated and also anything for future prevention. Also if anyone could tell me what the name of the particular
  23. Hey guys! Today marks my two years and a month into The Regimen. I am happy to say that majority of my acne is still under control and I haven't had my skin feel and look as good as it does in a long time. Below are pictures of my current skin situation. No make-up, just freshly cleansed skin. I am healing two acne marks on the left side of my face for now but they are already dried out and flat and I am just dealing with the dark marks with the use of AHA. I thought maybe I'd make this post
  24. Hello all, hope you are doing well! I have been using the same facial cleanser for about a year now and am looking to make a change. I feel as if the wash is not as effective as it used to be. I purchased two products, but I am not sure as to how I introduce them into my routine. Should I temper each product into the regimen over time, or just abruptly add them in? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  25. hi, I'm 14 years old and I've been getting some blackheads on my nose, the ocassional whitehead (maybe once a month) but most of the acne I have is quite mild and looks like skin colored small bumps, mostly on my forehead some on my cheekbones too. I had been using a St. Ives apricot scrub with salicylic acid and now I'm using a gentle purifying face wash with some salicylic acid but no products I've ever used have completely cleared up my skin (except straight tea tree oil) I really need help o
