  1. Hey guys..always just been curious about this as there is so much debate whether or not acne products (BP, exfoliators etc..) can cause the skin to become more oily? Does stripping the skin really cause more oil to be produced? Or is it ALL internal... Thoughts?
  2. Do you think it would be better for acne to heal without using so many harsh cleansers/medications/spot treatments? Every time i do, i feel like it just makes my face more red & irritated & sometimes even burns. Is this a bad sign? Should i just leave my face alone & cut down on a lot?
  3. What products have you guys tried that has faded acne scars? Or you know about? Thanks.
  4. I'm an Asian 18 yo female with oily/combination skin (one or both of those, not sure actually). My biggest concerns right now are hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores/blackheads (on the nose and t-zone area to either side of the nose). These are the two skin issues I find to be the most difficult to solve. I have a nasty habit of squeezing out my blackheads/pores because they annoy me so much and there doesn't seem to be any other effective methods for getting rid of them. Below is my curre
  5. I am 17 years old and been on Accutane twice. The first round I cleared up pretty well for about 6 to 7 months and started to breakout just as bad as before Accutane. During this time I had used over the counter gentle cleansers and moisturizers but nothing to really treat my acne. I just finished my 2nd round of Accutane in May and Ive noticed that Im already starting to breakout again like the 1st time. Everytime I ask my dermatologist she starts me off with the same products and eventually pu
  6. I have had this one bottle of acne.org BP for around 3-5 months now, and i haven't opened it. I'm running out of the one I am currently using and wondering if this other bottle is still good. Can someone please tell me?
  7. Hi, ive been on roaccutane just over a month now, my skin was initially not too bad but I went straight into 40mg dosages which for a slim 16 year old male is a lot. So far it has made my skin worse than ever, both my cheeks are covered in spots. I understand that an initial flare is normal - but surely theres something wrong here? Can someone also tell me which products they recommend? I need a good face wash/moisturiser that will stop my dry peeling skin, but also a lip balm, that will pr
  8. I'm just wondering, as I'm from Australia, and I'm guessing I'm buying from the US, how do they keep the products cool and so they wont, uh, go 'off' or lose their effectiveness? so basically, it won't lose any of it's effectiveness? How long does it usually take to ship + arrive from international shipping?
  9. Hey everyone, I am interesting in finding out how other women combat their acne? What types of products you use, where you buy them (how are you willing to spend), how you found them? I am kinda at a loss and also have an interest in getting feedback on this "clean beauty" movement? Do other women use and like cleaner alternatives to some of the current products on the market? I am starting this journey and would love feedback!
  10. Hi! So recently, about a week ago I received my Real-U products in the mail. I bought the cleanser, control face gel and lite moisturiser. I actually ran across the store on Instagram and saw a ton of reviews of it that were really positive. Now I know why! This stuff really worked for me! Along with adding Doterra Lemon Oil to my water everyday, this has been the only other thing I've changed in my acne routine and my skin has completely cleared! After struggling with hormonal related for YEARS

    Day 13

Hey everyone, i haven't posted for a while, just because there hasn't been a great deal to say. Things have improved since my last (depressing) post, mood wise, not skin wise! My skin is still pretty horrendous, but i am trying to just get on with and not have a breakdown over it. I had weird/ blurred vision for a couple of days but that seems to of subsided now. My lips haven't got dry or chapped yet (hurrah) but they do feel tight whenever my lip balm has worn off. I think because i had read s
  13. I used to see a dermatologist but I stopped because of family insurance problems. My dermatologist gave me pills that helped clear my skin so much! But I can’t get a refill anymore. Since then I continued using the Epiduo Forte she prescribed for the morning and Veltin with Flurandrenolide Lotion USP 0.05% at night. ( This medication is used on the skin to treat acne. This medication is a combination of adapalene (a retinoid) and benzoyl peroxide (an antibiotic and skin-peeling agent). This prod
  14. Hello, I'm going to start an accutane / isotretinoin treatment very soon, As this stuff can cause dry skin, I've researched for some skincare products. Here is a list of prodcuts that seemed interesting to use alongside Accutane: > Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion from Clinique > Yes to Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash > Aloe Vera Cleansing Milk from De Tuinen (dutch brand) > Lip balm from Burt's Bee Anything else I should consider adding to that list ?
  15. Hello all, Newbie to the regimen here. Been trawling these boards and the internet for the past few days trying to figure out what BP I can use. Like a lot of folk I am having no luck in finding 2.5%BP but I do have 10% Duac which I was prescribed by the doctor. Do you think it would be worth trying that out? So far I am using: Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (Missing out the BP, really bad!) Cetaphil Moisturiser I don't want to order the acne.org stuff from the US as it's so expensive to
  16. are there cleansers and mosturisers in can mix on my own because i cant find any listed
  17. Okay so I have moderate acne, and I've been dealing with acne for the past five years. I've been on a little bit of everything. I've tried differin, and retin-a, benzaclyn, and much more. However, now is the first time I've had a real regimen, and I'm more informed. My question though, is how do you know when you're using too many different products? My roommate made a comment "you use so much face stuff" the and it got me thinking. Just for reference, I'm still struggling with moderate acne on
  18. Okay so i've been reading a lot that people do not need skin care products, and I completely believe this. But what if your skin is so messed up from genes and a long time of being unhealthy? Also, what if the products are 100% natural and organic? For me, i've been eating healthy (the paleo diet) for half a year, been supplementing on and off, and use 100% natural and organic face skin-care products, yet my skin is trash. What are your answers and thoughts, please comment!!
  19. So i heard from many theories that dairy products may cause/exacerbate acne symptoms. I have cut out diary completely out of my life for around half a year now, but to be honest I didn't feel as if it affected my acne much. As the severity of my pimples did subside a tiny bit, I believe it was more due to my healthy lifestyle (I sleep at least 8 hours, drink 2 liters of water, eat veggies and fruit) than the actual eliminating of the dairy. SO i figured, my acne is probably still due to hor

    Changing Products?

Hello all, hope you are doing well! I have been using the same facial cleanser for about a year now and am looking to make a change. I feel as if the wash is not as effective as it used to be. I purchased two products, but I am not sure as to how I introduce them into my routine. Should I temper each product into the regimen over time, or just abruptly add them in? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    The Regimen And Acne Products

Ok, so this is a list of the products that have been super effective for me. I use acne.org's cleanser, followed by the treatment of the same brand, then the moisturizer. After the moisturizer, I either use the AHA or bio oil (purcillin oil). I do this morning and night. In the middle of the afternoon, when my face tends to get greasy and yucky, I use a homemade astringent (I just call it a toner). It consists of 1 part APPLE CIDER vinegar, 2 parts cooled green tea, and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

    Acne.org Products!

Hello again! Some time ago I decided to order the acne.org products and now I have them. I'm gonna start using them today. I don't live in the USA so with the shipping and tax and stuff it cost almost double than what you think it will cost Hopefully I will get some results in a month or so. Bye!
  23. does anyone have any suggestions for shopping in new zealand?
  24. I'm thinking of starting the regimen, since it seems like it has helped a lot of people, but I'm not sure if I want to use alle the products. I allready have a cleanser I like because it's very gentle and not very drying(I've heard the regimen clenaser is quite drying), and since the moisturizer has such bad reviews I thought I'd skip that too( I have my own moisturizer) and only try the benzoyl peroxide. The benzoyl peroxide is supposed to be the actual treatment though, isn't it? Anyhow, woul
