  1. Yeeeees! Finally! Free from acne! It’s been a year, and my skin is still doing great!! I want to share the products that worked for me. I can finally go the to store without makeup and not feel uncomfortable. My skin doesn’t hurt and i don’t feel self conscious (even though i tried not to) about my skin. About me: acne from 11-32 years old, female, 33 now. I tried SO. MANY. PRODUCTS. Nothing worked. pretty much every type of acne, some type all over my face. The little bumps everywh
  2. Hallo, friends. My face wash is almost out, and I'm on the market for a new one. I want to use something all natural, of course - so what do you suggest? What has worked well for you? I've been using Derma-E's Very Clear Problem Skin Cleanser ... and it's pretty good, but it's so pricey at the co-op (I bought it for waaay cheaper elsewhere in the country!) that I thought I'd ask around. What do you suggest? Do you have any brand loyalty? Any you definitely say DON'T give a try?
  3. After putting treatment and moisturizer, I felt pain on my entire part of my facial skin. This pain last longer than I expect to be. It last more than 3 hours. I have not had this kind of pain before. I never had any pain using other brand of moisturizer. Therefore, someone pls help me.

  5. Hello, I wonder if I can follow the regimen with other brands' products which I already have. I have dermaplus md's cleanser and moisturizer, also benzoyl peroxide which is from a different brand.

    Cremo Cooling Shave Cream

Do you guys think I could get away with using this shaving cream a couple times a week? Barbasol, while having a very generic, basic ingredients list, just doesn't cut it protection wise. I know some people are hesitant about using menthol and/or peppermint. Below is an ingredient list. Thanks. Cremo Cooling Shave Cream Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Glycol Distearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, M
  7. Hello! So I just hit day 11 and am in hibernation mode inside my apartment until this delightful initial breakout clears up. Seriously I've been in my apartment for the last 2 days and thought that keeping a log here would be a better way to track progress and stay sane over the next few months. Some background: I am a 25 year old female with moderate, persistent acne on my face and back, and very oily, sensitive skin. I've had some form of acne since 8th grade. I've tried various antibiotic
  8. I always try and do a spot test on my neck or forehead when I get a new product...like a cleanser or face cream, but it seems that "testing" doesn't work because some pores get clogged while others don't. For example, I'll test my jaw line...cause if I get a zit there, I can easily hide it, it will pass my 3 day test of just applying the new product in that one region...then I will use it all over my face...then WAM I have random zits on my temples and cheeks, not every pore, but some that were
  9. Hi everyone, My skin remains like this for 2years-3years !! I've tried lots of products and ways but it only helps a little but remain unchanged after all. Can anyone please help me & tell me what to do? I'm getting so frustrating and does acne regimen helps? I want my flawless skin back

The acne.org regimen is sooooo expensive. Does anyone maybe have a dicount code I can use? Thanks, Cieran.
  11. At long last an Acne.org SPF is on its way. _____ When: It should be for sale this Spring. What sizes: It will be sold in an 8oz. bottle and 16oz. bottle for now, but may be available in an 8oz. tube in the future. SPF rating: After FDA required testing, results are in and it will have an SPF rating of 16. I made sure to choose active ingredients which produce true broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Price: We have not priced it yet. It will be a bit more expensive than the regular Moistu
  12. As evidenced in my last post, I’ve smeared a lot of crap on my face. But, what do I use now? And do I like it? CURRENT ROUTINE: AM: 1. I wake up, pissed off because I haven’t figured out a way to safely inject coffee into my blood stream. 2. Shuffle to bathroom. Shuffle to closet. Shuffle to dresser. Forget what I was doing. Groan. 3. Wash with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Okay, so let’s be honest. I bought the knockoff Wal-Mart Equate Skin C
  13. I want to start the acne.org regimen but I can't find 2.5% benzoyl peroxide anywhere. I only found 4% benzoyl peroxide on two places. I saw in the video that he said "use only 2.5% benzoyl peroxide". Will it be ok if I use the 4% one? Also, I can't seem to find a gentle cleanser either. Should it really be gentle? Thank you!
  14. Hello again old friends I know it's been a very long time since my last review but i have been trying something new out and i wanted to tell you what i thought. If you haven't been reading since my first blog on this website i suffered badly from acne when i was 17/18 years old, i went to the doctors for 3 months medication which slowly cleared up my skin (you can go back and read my full story on my first blog entry). I now like to blog about products that im currently using to help prevent my
  15. So, I've recently stumbled upon a few products that spark my curiosity. I'm always looking for things that are good for my skin and I'm always open to new ways to treat it - however, I'm really tired of all these false claims that drugstore companies are making. "CLEARS ACNE IN ONE DAY," oh sure, tell me more. "KILLS 99% OF BACTERIA!" oh yeah, I bet. "#1 ACNE FIGHTING BRAND IN THE WORLD!" sure, suuuureee. Yet we keep falling for these claims because there's something inside us that believes or
  16. Hello. Is there a way to cure the dairy break out ? I'm bodybuilder so I need dairy as meals but they will trigger out me. Thank you.
  17. i went to the dermatologist yesterday, and he prescribed 3 products for me. Here are the names: - Galderma (Benzac AC 2 1/2, Benzoyl Peroxide, Water Base Gel) 60g. [Some kind of cream] - Galderma (Adapalene Gel 0.1%) 30g [Some kind of cream] - Vibramycin* Doxycyline Monohydrate (10 tablets) 100mg. I have also attached a picture of the 3 products. So my questions are - What do you think caused this much acne? - How do I use these products? (Like I have no idea which ones are

  19. Hello, I'm going to start an accutane / isotretinoin treatment very soon, As this stuff can cause dry skin, I've researched for some skincare products. Here is a list of prodcuts that seemed interesting to use alongside Accutane: > Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion from Clinique > Yes to Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash > Aloe Vera Cleansing Milk from De Tuinen (dutch brand) > Lip balm from Burt's Bee Anything else I should consider adding to that list ?
  20. Lately I been using the Proactive 3-step regimen.... The orange color kind ones that has the Cleanser, Skin balancing toner acid thingy, and the benzyle peroxide cream. About 8 weeks i think my face was getting a lot better, mildly improved, but about 2 weeks later it started to get worse. I suffered about 5 break-outs; pustles and papules. Red zits on mostly the bottom skin under my mouth/lips and chin area. One on the right side of my nose. I felt devastated and don't know how that happene
  21. The title says it all. The search bar didn't yield an answer and I couldn't find it myself. So yeah, what's the process to start a new entry?
  22. Hi, I'm from the UK looking for an alternative moisturiser to use, because Dan's colours my face, and as much as I enjoy it, I can't put up with the colouring anymore. The link to the product, on the UK amazon website can be found here, where you can look at the ingredients and anything you need to: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neutrogena-Sensitive-Oil-Free-Facial-Moisturizer/dp/B000052YOX/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t I noticed the 8th ingredient (Isopropyl isostearate) on the back of the product ha
  23. Let's have a chat, shall we? I find that people in my life don't care about skincare, at all. I care a lot. Skincare products are my addiction, I always want to try new things, and I do have very acne prone skin, so keep that in mind when I'm talking about things, this is Acne.org, so really every topic on this forum should be devoted to acne prevention. Acne is the only thing that has driven my interest in skincare, and sparked my desire to strive for better skin, more efficiently. I wa

    Sharing my solution

I've just been reading everyone's stories and I understand all of it. Acne is a horrible, soul shattering thing to go through. For me it started in my teens and got worse in my adult years. Pimples would come and go on an almost daily basis made worse by pms. My doctor told me to just wash my face when I was in my teens so I didn't think I was going to get any help from doctors or dermatologists. Nothing I tried really helped and I can't use BP because it's way too harsh. My skin is very rebelli
