  1. I know that people Use Ice compression and anti-inflammatory drugs as a way to PREVENT a deep pimple from swelling, but is that ALL it's good for? Or does it also help completely remove the pimple/cyst/bacteria altogether and not only possibly post-pone what might be an inevitable pimple ?
  2. I first noticed that I am having scars three months ago,and I was devastated.Back then the scars were shallow and reddish looking. But as time is flying by and the redness is gradually decreasing,I am observing that they are getting really deep.I am also starting to notice scars in areas of PIH. So my question is how is stop them from getting deeper and how to prevent future scars? Thanks for your time. Please answer.I am desperate.
  3. Hi there, I am 25. After having normal and mostly clear skin since I was a teenager I developed mild/moderate acne (more moderate, I guess) in Jan 2018. I tried various OTC remedies but nothing worked (most made things worse) and I went to my GP (UK) for help in March 2018. I was prescribed Differin (0.1% adapalene) but I was too scared to use it because: a. the prospect of a lengthy initial breakout was probably worse than living with my persistent but never severe acne b. I spend lo
  4. Hi guys, After reading some comments about the Aknicare drying out your skin I thought I would respond. This product really dried my skin out too. As my acne was so severe I initially just started to use the toner to try and alleviate my breakout and quickly. This really did dry my skin out far too much. So much so, I called the SkinMed helpline to complain (something I would never normally do). The girl on the phone was so helpful and emphatic to my skin concerns. She explained ever

  6. Like the question says,am I supposed to have an initial breakout from accutane if I shift straight from antibiotics and I rarely breakout? What about the severity of the IB even if I get one and are there ways to reducing it?
  7. So I'm checking in after 7 months or so and I'm glad to say that my skin has somewhat improved :-) I'm 21 now with just the occasional pimples once or twice a month but they're usually around the chin area (somewhat rarely but the marks stay for quite some time) or forehead (rarely and they don't really leave marks). My main concern is the marks left by past pimples on my left cheek in particular so I was wondering if anyone can recommend me home remedies or affordable products to ligh
  8. Recently I started a topic about scars and one guy told me that there are ways in which I can stop my scars from getting deeper and wider. So my question is that,"Is there really a way to prevent deeper and wider scars?"
  9. Hi all - my name is Eloise and I've just joined this community after finding myself here for research many times over the last 3 years. I need help understanding acne. I have an understanding of what it is (POTENTIALLY), what it is POTENTIALLY caused by, and what can POTENTIALLY treat the symptoms, but I want to understand this: Does acne ever go away for good? Is acne entirely treatable? What causes acne to appear initially, especially after years of clear skin, and why - most importantly -
