  1. From the album: Epiduo

First Image is 2 months into proactiv in February/March (skin looks super angry, but clearing). I eventually gave up on Proactiv and broke out even worse. The second Image is 41 days into Epiduo, been having some breakouts and have some hyperpigmentation, had a decent 3 week stint and but had a minor breakout this week which has cleared up. Crossing my fingers!

    Recovery

    From the album: Epiduo

I Love Epiduo with all my heart :)
  3. It has been one week since i started taking the 10 mg pills twice a day, so 20 mg. There hasnt been many changes yet, but i have had stomach pains twice, but I took paracetomol and they went away. The ores around my nose have become very visible and large, and Ive been getting tiny little bumps around my chin and forehead where i dont usually get them. Havent experienced any dryness in the lips and skin, although I feel more thirsty. I hope my skin will start to clear up soon.
  4. Hi everyone. Just joined this website earlier and this is my first blog/conversation. I am 21 years old and have had acne since the age of about 14. At the start of February I was prescribed Accutane and I first started taking the drug on February 6th 2016, so that will be 16 weeks on the drug tomorrow (about 4 months). Bottom line.. MY SKIN IS STILL BAD AND IM STILL BREAKING OUT, my derm is calling then 'pustuals'. Now don't get me wrong my skin is getting better in certain areas (forehead and

    After

From the album: Before And After

After being true to "The Treatment" BP and going on Tri Sprintec Oral Contraceptives, my skin is healthier, happier, and a new, foreign texture that fears not the click of a camera. Finally.

    Day 49!

So my skin is starting to flake more and my face feels tight as if its about to start peeling. I just had a breakout a few days ago but it is going away now as my skin is getting drier and drier. I know I keep saying I think results are soon but Id say in another month or so ill be basically acne free. My lips have still been dry but I have been exfoliating them daily and I am using my Olay Pro-x once a day as I find it can be irritating if done twice a day. My forehead is 100% clear of blemi
  7. Hello, I have been using my BenzePro emollient foam (BP 5.3%) on my face every night to treat my mild adult acne since February, and it has been working very well. However, the last 4 nights I’ve been away from home and have come home late and have accidentally skipped my nightly treatment each time. On the box of the product, it says to take the missed dose as soon as you remember. My skin has only developed one pimple in the last 4 days, but I am worried that when I use it again my skin
  8. Hi I’m Kelly and I’ve been recently struggling with an acne problem I thought was resolved :(. I have been taking minocyline for the past 3 months and recently was taken off of it by my derm. Also, I was on trentinoin .05% and clindamycin 1% gel along with the minocyline. I am still on the prescription gels however upon coming off the pill a week or two ago my face has consistently gotten worse breaking out. Shouldn’t the gels be preventing that? Will this get better with them or should I ask to
  9. Is my back bad enough to get a prescription to help? I have flare ups and it's been worse than it is now. Over the counter washes and other products don't really help.
  10. Hello, im 28 and I'm pretty well acne free now, well at least when I'm on my antibiotic Bactrim. When I'm not on it it's terrible! problem is ive been on these antibiotics for years now and I hear how bad it can be to be on antibiotics long term. I have a number of other skin, hair and anxiety problems and I'm concerned it's all coming from within. So im thinking it really is time to try and get off them again (my skin goes so bad I have to get back on) but I have no plan. Is there somethi
  11. Hey guys, I was thinking of booking an appointment with Sk:n who said they can offer Roaccutane. Would I be able to get it prescribed privately, then pay for prescriptions/get blood work done on the NHS?
  12. Funny story. 2 months ago, I went to a derma, he made me do a blood test then gave me a 2 month supply of accutane for about $60 if I convert to USD. I came back for more accutane after 40 days, he told me to do ANOTHER blood test and wait another week. Hell nah do I got time for that, I'm too busy. So what I did was go to a local pharmacy, apparently they don't *need* a prescription, he just gave me another month supply for $30. I'm living in Saudi Arabia, they aren't so strict on getting
  13. Hi, my family doctor recently prescribed me Tactupump (about 3 weeks now). I've read that the burning and the dryness goes away after 2 weeks tops however mine is as bad as it has ever been. When I use cleanser it burns a bit; some cleansers I use burn a lot more than others but I'm currently using the one that burns the least and it's nothing TOO painful but I still feel the burn. It's also noticeably red on the areas I've been applying Tactupump. My acne hasn't been that bad in a while a
  14. I started to notably break out towards the summer before my senior year of high on my forehead and cheeks. I would get inflamed pimples on my cheeks and sometimes relatively small cysts or nodules (not sure which) on the cheeks and in between my eyes. I also got some non inflamed ones on my forehead and temples. I was using drug store products (including a scrub which really stripped my skin and made it worse I think) but it definitely was not working. I think my acne was still considered mild
  15. Hi guys, This is my first post here because I have no idea what to do about my face anymore. I had picture perfect skin just 2.5 months ago, now my skin is dripping oil, constantly breaking out. I made an apt for bc but I don't know which one to go on, or if I even truly need it. I have a fee breakouts constantly now, but 11 days before my period (every month now) I get tons of breakouts, especially around my eyebrows and my cheeks, and lots of small pimples on my chin and jawline. I use a
  16. I'm on my third week of Differin .1 + Clindamycin, and I thought I'd write about my experience so far, which has been... well, not good, not bad. I'm used to treatments either working immediately, or breaking me out to all hell (also immediately), so this has been a weird limbo experience for me. Week 1: (Used Differin .1 every third night, Clindamycin every morning and night.) Don't know if this was an initial breakout or just a reaction to a night of heavy drinking, but I somehow got a t
  17. Here's my plight!!! It's long so bear with me. I've had acne for about five years now. I'm currently in my junior year of high school. While my acne isn't severe or cystic, every single pimple I get causes hyperpigmentation and I have a dark mark on my face for weeks (if I'm super lucky) or months (normal). I have plenty of comedomes on my cheeks which often get inflamed and cause the spot to turn red and fill with pus. After they pop, they leave a HUGE black mark and often times the same spot w
  18. Okay so I just wanted to report my success on accutane for all of you wishy washy about the drug. I have had persistent acne since I was 13 and I am now 23. I wouldn't call it cystic but I do get cysts as well as a lot of tiny bumps all over and some red inflamed ones. Since turning 20 it has gotten a bit better but I almost never have totally clear skin. I tried literally everything, every over the counter product, diet, cleanse, uv lights, facials, peels, etc. last year I started modeling and
  19. I had a dermatology appointment today and my doctor is considering prescribing Nicazel. Have any of you had any experience with this medication? If so, was it beneficial? Did you have an initial breakout?
  20. Hi All, I'm writing today because I'm SUPER frustrated with my skin right now. I've just hit 9 weeks using epiduo gel this past Friday; I experienced an initial breakout during the first 3-4 weeks but I knew this was normal. It cleared around week 5, but reappeared during week 6. I was super discouraged. I finally cleared during week 7, but have recently began breaking out again - HORRIBLY. I currently am using epiduo at night (pea sized amount) about 30 mins after I wash my face with Cetaphil
  21. Hello everyone, I have gone ahead and started the process towards a journey on accutane. I've gotten through the 30 day period prior to being able to take accutane and today I received a call from my pharmacy telling me they have my prescription from my derma but they couldn't access it because it wasn't cleared in the iPledge system. I also received a call from my derma saying I needed to answer the questions online on the iPledge system. So, I logged on to it and clicked "comprehension quest
  22. Hi all I have been prescribed my GP and have read that I should start seeing results after 4 weeks. It's been 5 weeks and all throughout the last few weeks I have started developing large red and angry spots which I didn't have before, they are making more unhappy with my skin then I was before. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it just be getting rid of all the rubbish from my face before I start seeing results? I don't know whether I should get another 1 month prescription of it and se
  23. I have been on the prescription drug, Minocycline, for the past year. Before that i experienced not necessarily severe but pretty spontaneous acne..not in bunches just a lot of pimples by them selves mainly on chin, around lips, on cheek bones and fore head. I have tried creams and gels and prescription gels and nothing gets rid of them. Once I took Minocycline I rarely !!!! Very rarely would get pimples just sometimes when my period was coming up a few would pop up but nothing to stress over. R
  24. Hi everyone, I'm a 16 year old and have recently been prescribed Roaccutane. I have decided to keep a diary of my progress for people who aren't sure whether or not Roaccutane is for them. Personally I was looking forward to going on the drug. I was so sick of my skin as I have had ongoing spots since I was 12/13, but my skin got really bad since last year. Previously I had tried every product known to get rid of spots but none of them worked. I was using a skincare salicylic acid wash given
  25. Hey everybody, I'm a first time poster but long time reader and follower of this forum. I've been struggling with acne my whole life and it's great to come to this forum and see that I'm not alone. I honestly can't even remember when the dreaded problem started but I can say that I am 26 years old and suffer with adult acne. Most of my acne is on the left side of my face with zits here and there on the right. It's been hard to pinpoint the cause of my acne but it's most likely hormonal due to t
