  1. I've had sebaceous hyperplasia on my chin for thirty years, after three high pressure tanning bed visits in one week and having my chin too close to those bulbs, I noticed a rash of skin colored bumps on my chin, right side worse than left side, and they never went away. I have tried blue light levulan therapy, all types of creams, and several laser treatments, and nothing but accutane ever made it better, and the accutane improvement usually regresses months after I am done taking it. But, th
  2. Hi Everyone, I want to update the FAQ, since a common topic seems to be PIE - Post Inflammatory Erythema (redness related to acne, popped pimples, infection, chemical burns, over-exfoliation, cuts, scrapes, scratches, sunburn, ... it goes away when you press on the area). Unlike PIH - Post Inflammatory Hiperpigmentation which is permanent changes in the skins pigment. I have seen a few posters recently come to the acne scar sub with PIE issues and they want solutions for their scars.
  3. Hey, my names Adnan and I have struggled with pih marks for about 7 months. I’m currently 15 and It started small and then all of a sudden my entire cheeks are covered with marks, some dark some light. My acne is controlled atm by using benzoyl peroxide, and I’ve started using Apple cider vinegar (applying) on my marks for a month now. I put on sunscreen every time I go out. Is there anything I can try. Please help
  4. Hi, does the regimen help with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation? Because i'm starting the regimen next week so i was wondering if it could help. I also got the AHA lotion but i'm gonna use it after a month.
  5. Post as of 18/02/2016 Hello folks, I am 18(5'8"and weigh 65 kg)and of Southeast Asian-American descent. After battling with acne for over five years,I finally got accutane! You can think that my acne isn't bad enough to start accutane, but the real reason for starting the drug is that I'm extremely prone to scarring(whether I pick or not),even from whiteheads!I have also got body acne-nothing bad but quite extensive.Another thing that bothers me is that the scars also have Post Inflammatory Erythe
  6. Hi guys,I’ve struggled with acne since I was about 11years old. My doctor told me as I aged my skin would mellow out since my acne was purely hormonal. I’d have a flare up (2-3 pimples) a week before my period and they’d go away a week after. I’ve used multiple acne treatments over the years. I used them primarily in high school so I don’t quite remember the names but I tried about 3-4 including proactive at one point, then tried home remedies and went back to medication eventually. Tactupump I'
  7. Hi, I was wondering if someone could explain what makes hypertrophic scars and PIH (Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) different? I was also wondering if these things heal on there own or what i can do about each, as i think i have hypertrophic scars but am not 100% sure. Thanks.
