    Day 5

How longs does it take for Roaccutane to kick in? I mean I'm mildly itchy which I attribute to 'something' happening but and I have one painful joint at the base of my thumb (RSI from googling 'roaccutane' on my phone and playing HQ trivia maybe?? haha) and I would say am mildly less spotty than usual for 'this time of the month' but other than that...nothing. Is that normal?? Most people seem to report extremely dry skin and lips literally within a couple of days...I guess I'll see how thing
  2. It seems like these forums are infected by negative accutane stories. I get it, some people want to share their negative side effects and see if others are experiencing the same thing and sometimes they want to warn others of potential side effects. I think people need hope and need to stop focusing and worrying on side effects that could occur. We want to hear about people who have been off this product for a long time and are doing great. Of course these people who are doing great usually do
  3. I have started trying to consciously practice seeing myself as more than my acne. This might seem like an obvious practice, or something that should come naturally; but for me it is defiantly not. Acne has given me a negative attitude towards my body. I feel as though my body has failed my in some way and is not functioning properly despite my efforts. But this attitude is unhealthy, and I have come to find the following positive thoughts have helped me feel a little more peaceful in times of
  4. Hi everyone, I've done two courses of Accutane in my life time, one long one and then one shorter one a year later to finish it off. (see older posts for details). It's been exactly a year since my last pill and I am noticing some definite side effects just kicking in as of recently. The side effects are annoying but pretty easy to cope with from a day to day basis... Here are the symptoms I've noticed since stopping accutane: Dry eyes Dry skin Tingles (hands, feet, face) Dizziness T
  5. Hey guys, I've been following this guys YouTube account for some time now. He makes weekly updates for his accutane progress and his videos are full of real life problems and solutions. He's helped me out a lot! Please give them a look, I promise you won't regret it.
  6. Hey guys! Please read this if you are thinking about taking accutane or have taken accutane because this will shed some light on your questions or worries. So i'm a male and i've had acne ever since high school, around 13 or 14 is when it started (which is typical for a teenager). Now at 23, my acne is still popping up (along with the battle scars left behind over the years) just not as bad as in my high school days. I get mainly hormonal acne on my jawline, chin, neck, and my back was prett
  7. I dont think anything is going on. My chin and around my mouth area looks horrible. My left cheek is still awful. I dont look good basically but its okay because im going home on friday to sunday and hopefully will feel more relaxed. My mental health is a lot better. Such an annoyance though. I think bad skin is the worse thing ever and it really effects your self-confidence more than people can imagine. Anyway update on specifics Forehead: very spotty but flatter than before Left Cheek: a b
  8. First of all, I'd like to say that I've already noticed the irony of my username. I know this is easier said than done, but the overbearing negativity in this section of the forum is very destructive to some people's perception of themselves. When people go to this site, they do so for support and for good vibes. They are most likely down about their acne and are actively looking for solutions. In the meantime, when one clicks on this section, he or she shouldn't have to be bombarded with topic
  9. Hey All So I am fairly new to this forum. Ive noticed that ALOT of women experience acne for the first time in their lives after quitting birth control. Some notice that their acne is magnified post pill and can increase in intensity. I am curious to know if any ladies out there have successfuly quit the pill and their skin goes back to normal after hormones "level out". Or if their acne has subsided/lessened with time passing without turning to any other forms of medication. I would really
  10. Hey guys, So I'm now on my 3rd week and still feeling fab. My skin is completely clear (aside from old marks) still and I am LOVING the no oil. My make up stays perfect ALL day! My hair has started to dry out a little this week but I have started putting a few drops of jojoba oil with my conditioner which sorts it out straight away. My lips are slightly chapped but barely bother me as long as I have a balm on. My favourite is still Blistex - Intensive Moisture, this stuff is brilliant and
