  1. I've been going to a very patient aesthetician for 4 years using Electrolysis for a simple removal of stubborn chin hair (tiny areas at the corner of my mouth). The reason it took 4 years is NOT because I was inundated with large amounts of hair but because the hair that needed to be removed was held captive in sebum& keratin plugs. The plugs prevented the complete removal of the entire hair so it would snap off, leaving the hair still trapped (and growing) in the plug. The plugs are like mi
  2. I have very bad skin texture and alot of it have been due to these hard yellow plugs (comedomes i think?). They don't go away on their own and I have to squeeze them out (bad I know) but they get refilled again. Once squeezed, little holes are left behind which I think are icepicks. They're all over my forehead and cheeks and you can see them in the pictures. I'm currently starting tretinoin (Retin A) to see if it helps and was wondering if any of you with experience with these plu
  3. Hi all! I'm new here, and I'm in need of some advice! I'm a 19 year old girl and I suffer from mild acne. I've had this problem for years, but when I turned 18, I moved across the country for college and started making some adjustments to my diet and skin care choices. I moved to a city where it's cold and dry and I suppose the climate, along with my lifestyle changes did a lot to improve my skin. There was a 2 month period when my skin was completely clear and literally glowing. I started ea
  4. Please help if anyone knows anything. I'm getting more and more depressed about this. Im 23 years old and I've had pretty decent skin my whole life with occassional blemishes around my period or if I was stressed. Last August I moved from ohio to new york city and this is when everything started. I started to get small little white bumps on my chin and I thought they were pimples so I would try to squeeze them and nothing happened and they would just get irritated and red. I went to the dermot
  5. Ok, this is going to be a long post so bear with me, please. I am desperate for help. I am 27 years old and back in school so I have no insurance and can't see a dermatologist. In August, I decided to switch from Rodan & Fields Unblemished to TULA. I was wanting to get away from putting all of the harsh chemicals on my skin. I had extremely mild acne growing up and there really wasn't a need for me to be using the product. When I started using TULA I developed these small bumps around my
  6. What are the white plug looking things in my pores? Are they sebaceous filaments? They are more visible after shower or washing, and there's more of them in this area. They become less apparent as the day goes on. This area is also iterated easily and tends to feel dehydrated after morning shower if not moisturized. I can keep them in check if I wash my face at night with a wash cloth but if I don't use one they seem to multiply. Thanks

  8. I have had this problem ever since I started college back in 2013. I get these swollen lumps under the skin of my forehead, and they CAN BE, but aren't usually painful to the touch. I had to grow a beard in order to correct the crap on my neck and jawline. That worked like a charm If i get lucky, I can squeeze them, and a long rod of cheese like stuff comes out of them followed by a plug and clotted blood. They heal in about 3-4 days... There's usually a little
