  1. Hello, I have this one scar on my cheek I'm super self conscious about. I think it's a boxcar scar (i feel like it's too wide to be an ice pick). I was wondering what acne scar treatments people would like would be the best for my scar type? Would TCA CROSS work (If i did that i would go to a professional)?? I included a bunch of different pics all taken in the same day with different lighting (harsh, natural) so you can gauge the depth and scar type. Any advice and guidance would be great. I un
  2. I am looking for treatments, oils, masks, pretty much anything you can buy online or in store to treat those pesky pitted scars left over from acne. I want to find everything possible out there before reaching out to dermatologists and or high end treatments.
  3. Firstly, hello everyone.. I'm new here (: I've had acne for at least 5 years now (I'm almost 16) mostly only having whiteheads and blackheads, with the occasional pimple. But I went through a stage where I was getting a few cystic pimples on my cheeks, and now they have gone but I'm left with red marks. My acne at the moment is mostly black/white heads.. But with the acne treatments my dermatologist has me on my skin is very weak. Meaning when I do succumb to my urges and pick at a little bl

Is this really bad scarring? I'm not too sure since I don't look too much on it.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm 21 years old and have suffered from acne since I was 11 or 12 years old. My acne started to go away when I turned 18. Sometimes I still get a few pimples but it's not as bad as it used to be. My skin is a bit oily and sensitive. Acne has destroyed my skin and therefore I'm left with a lot of scars. I have tried these treatments: - 2015: One fraxel laser treatment - 2016: Glycolic acid peelings at different strengths and microdermabrasion - 2017: TCA peelings at di
  6. Looking for some advice please. I have been on accutane and it's been a year and would like to get rid of these scars. I took pics in different lightings..what treatment would be the best? Scars are not very visible in other lighting.
  7. Hi everyone, Anyone on this board have their scars filled in over time? I've had acne since I was a teenager and went through two rounds of accutane which kept the cystic acne away. Now at 26, I no longer have cystic acne but left with a lot of scars. I used to have rolling scars, blackheads, and some congested pores. Then, I tried laser resurfacing without any luck of improvement. I think it gave me more scars instead because now I see ice-pick, box-scars, different skin depth in certain ar
  8. I have a lot of pitted scars on my face and I hate them so much, they make me feel so depressed every time I go to the bathroom and look in the mirror, or any mirror actually. I read that MSM cream is supposed to heal pitted acne scars. I bought some and it has been almost a month since using it and I see absolutely no difference. Has anyone else used MSM cream? Why isn't it working for me? I just ordered some more MSM cream and MSM powder hoping that if I go with it for longer it will work but

  10. Hi All, I took Oracea for about a month starting around early March. I stopped taking it by April due to no noticeable improvement of acne (or rosacea if that's what I actually had) and since then my skin has been terrible. It's been almost six weeks now and my skin is pitted, dried, and seems to be scarring?? I never had scars like this before, but the moisture has been sucked out my skin and undulations are forming over my cheeks. Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? Or

Is this a severe case of scarring???
  12. I'm 23 and in LA. I have mostly boxcar and rolling scars, focused on my cheeks and jaw, a couple small ones on my temples. Not that bad, but enough to encourage me to get treatment. I've had 6 dermapen treatments done which have improved my skin texture and some shallow scars. I saw good improvement, but I wanted more so I contacted Dr Rullan. Last week I had subcision combined with microneedling with Rullan. $550. He's a great doctor. I saw my biggest scars appear back on the 2nd day and I st
  13. Lately, I've been searching Youtube up and down for tutorials on how to conceal pitted acne scars. I've come across three videos that struck with me and am wondering if anyone else has tried the products from them and can tell me how well they concealed your pitted scars: From video 1: (video by Diamondsandheels14) Makeup Forever HD Micro-Perfecting PrimerShiseido Refining Primer Makeup or Shiseido Pore Smoothing Corrector Dermablend Cover Cream (I especially want to know how well these
  14. Hello everyone. This is the first time I joined and the first time im posting this on this forum. I am 29 years old Asian female with severe acne scars. And sadly...these are actually significantly better then they used to be however it's still horrific. The camera doesn't even show the full extent of it because I have severe hyperpigmentation black red purple marks right on them as well...I've also developed wrinkles on top of this as the acne bacteria destroyed my collagen completely and at
  15. Hello! My name is Ximena and this is my first blog! I am 25 years old... I started breaking gout when I was 22 or 23. In the beginning it was REALLY bad i had cysts on my cheeks a lot but now my face only breaks out on my jawline once a month, which is still painful but it is getting better every month. I am basically writing this blog to keep track of my own progress because i decided that i am going to make things happen once and for all, and I WILL make my acne disappear along with
