  1. I am a 16 year old girl and back in april i started tazorac cream prescribed by my dermatologist and it broke me out horribly with cystic acne all over my face (i did not have bad acne to begin with) . I read reviews over tazorac and they were just saying there will be a bad "plurge" part for about 12 weeks. By august my face only got worse to where it was very painful and super embarassing and my derm suggested accutane for a 5 month period, me and my mom decided i should try the accutane. I'm
  2. Hello everyone, After looking at various pictures of different people's acne scars, I began wondering how long a person typically has to suffer from acne before they begin to see scarring. I have suffered from acne on and off for about 4 years but it's gotten drastically worse in the last year. I've begun to notice that hyper pigmentation marks don't seem to vanish nearly as quick anymore. I've also discovered my first marks that resemble little prickly dents in my face. I realize that
  3. I was at a bookstore yesterday and when I went up to the cash and the cashier had acne scarring. I dunno why, I immediately felt sad (not a "sad/pity for the person" kind of sadness, though). I didn't have that feeling of not being alone with my insecurities , since she also has scarring like me. So I didn't feel better about myself even though I know other people have them, too. It's more like I felt "Why are we afflicted like this?" feeling. Has anyone ever felt like this? Instead of fee
  4. Earlier this year, I went on accutane due to my severe acne and it was probably the best decision i have ever made. Tretinoin, proactiv, natural oils, dieting tricks, bp, sal acid, antibiotics, etc etc never help people who get severe acne the way accutane does! I really regret waiting so long to do it. I had great results but unfortunately was left with lots of bad scarring . I ended my 4th month of accutane in may (80 mg/day) and that was about 4 months ago! My current routine is just using
  5. I am a 23 YO female from India. I have been suffering from depressed acne scarring since years. I visited so many doctors and they suggested all expensive treatments which was too much to afford. But, recently (2 weeks back) I got a PRP treatment done on my face for the craters and pits. The doc said I will start seeing results from the very 1st treatment but so far I haven't seen any and it has completely shattered me as I have been saving all this while just to get these ghastly scars treated
  6. Hi everyone. Story of my life: I'm a 15 year old male who's been suffering from acne for the past 1/1,5 yrs. It all started occasional small pimples (1/2 mm wide) in the T-zone but then it spread to the cheeks. At the time, I didn't have any idea what was going on - that was a big shock for me! Consequences: I wasn't careful and I scratched some pimples so I ended up with small ice pick scars. Additional Info- during the pimples/scars healing I exposed them to sunlight (at least 1h a d
  7. Hello everyone. I have been battling severe acne for 3 years now. I have tried almost all the products but accutane. As you can see, I have a lot of pits, huge pores, scars, and pimples. As you can see on the other picture are one of my 3 biggest blackhead removals. (The smallest of the 3.) I am currently on epiduo for about a month now, and yet to see results. Everywhere I go, at least 1 person comments on my acne. I have really, really oily skin. I wear sunblock everyday with spf 50. If anyone

Hello Everyone I am a 17 years old girl.I never had acne but because of medicines I used to take I got severe acne.Acne is gone now but I have red marks and a scar below my eyes. Its not deep but visible above the surface.I wanted to know if it can heal on its own or I have to take some medicines or any treatment.I am currently using an exfoliation cleanser,Vitamin d powder, and hyper pigmentation cream recommended by the doctor. It happened after pimple popped.Should I get demarolling or should

The is not a lot on my forehead, I am greatful that I don't many have pits/scars on my forehead, however you may see there is a large on in the center just above my eyebrows/nose, this one I always see and it is one of the largest, second to a couple on my right cheek. I see it in the reflection off of car windows, when I can see my scars from flections such as car windows, I know it must be painfully noticable to others as well.

    cheek right

This cheek has the most damage done on my face. I always feel disappointed by it, and feel most of the damage is my fault.
  12. Hello, I am 14 years old and I am on my last month of roaccutane. A little background info i've struggled with acne since I was in the 3rd grade(around the time I got period). My acne used to be very aggressive, but later on after puberty my hormones started to calm down a bit. I did have mild acne but it was persistent and I've tried every cream/face/antibiotic wash you name it. (Benzac, diffrin, zinryt, medcint, retnoids, vitamin a, etc) So that's why I decided to go on roaccutane. All my current p
