  1. Hi everyone, So I have a lot of clogged pores around my cheeks and foreheads. I don't pick on them anymore as they turn into pimples soon after. Will they go on their own naturally? Is there something wrong with my daily routine? Should I use the steam method to extract my clogged pores? This is my daily routine, Morning- Clean and clear deep pore cleanser> Skinnlab Clay mask> Diluted Lemon juice for my scars> Aloe Vera Gel moisturiser. Evening- Clean and clear deep pore cl
  2. Soo I've been on Tretinoin Cream and Monodox for 5 months now. My acne is getting better.. still gets really bad every now and then. I used to have no acne at all. I decided to go on birth control and my body freaked out on every pill I tried. I finally had to give up. During the time I was struggling with birth control, I started to get horrible acne and really really really oily skin. Even though I haven't been on a pill for about 7 months now, my acne is still bad and my skin is still awfull
  3. I am 16 years old and i started my proactiv plus journey february 12, 2014. I thankfully never suffered through severe acne throughout my life. I usually got occasional pimples which started when i entered high school, which is normal for any teenage girl. Throughout my freshman and sophomore year in high school, my skin was normal, again had occasional pimples like any other teen, and it went away in a few days/weeks. (Also, i personally noticed i never had any breakouts or any acne during
  4. For the past few months my skin has been breaking out horribly. I have mild to moderate acne, and I have found routine that has kept me clear for almost a month now!! Sea Breeze as my toner A mixture of tea tree oil and extra virgin olive oil. Acanya gel And then moisturize with Cetaphil moisturizer. I'm so happy

  6. hello!! i need some help on what to do with some of my face blemishes, and possibly building a regimen (if neccessary) as of now i have: - a pimple (although pretty flat and not as big as before, also looks like its bleeding but its actually not) - two skin-colored bumps (there's this one on the side of my nose that was left over from a previous pimple, it's really flat but still a little bit raised, the other one is on the tip of the nose and is a bit more raised than the other - they're not

  8. Alright people, im an 18 year old male and over the last few years ive been dealing with moderate acne, i get the odd one in different places but i always seem to have a ton, on my CHEEKS. Primarily THE RIGHT cheek. I believe i have found the cure and it is so simple im dumbfounded. They say the cheeks ( on your face of course lol) primarily the right one, is correlated to your lungs. Ive noticed that im always breathing through the mouth, which is NOT healthy for lungs. Breathing throuh the n
  9. I'm not promising any miracles, but I thought I would share with everyone my journey dealing with acne, and where I am now. I never used to have trouble with pimples until I turned 16, I thought for sure it would start earlier than that if it was due to puberty, but then I also thought it would go away faster than it did as well (I'm now 20) After lots and lots of facial washes, shampoo's even changing the type of toothpaste I used - I finally realized my acne had less to do with what I was
  10. My Journey with oatmeal to treat acne/pigmentation Hi my name is isaac im 16 ill be 17 in dec 6 ^.^ But lets get to the point (ACNE) i wanted to do something about it because bp made my skin much worse, so i started to use oatmeal as a cleanser morning and night fallowed by a facial moisturizer that contains soy bean. These photos are really personal to me, it took alot for me to share this, to help you guys out. These are the results of using oatmeal as cleanser/mask/ and a good moistur
  11. I am 18 years old, I live on the east coast, and until 6 months ago I NEVER had problems with acne. Well never is a strong word, it was very rare for me to even have a pimple, most of those times being around/during menstruation. My complexion was fine, and I only used water and a clean cloth to wash my face, which I figured was working since my skin was clear. About 6 months ago I moved out of my parents house and rented a room from a friend. Chain of events left us with no AC for about a month
  12. Hi, I suffered from acne for more than 8 years. No skin apply medication helped me to control my acne. Before few months back a doctor prescribe to take a Doxin 100mg tablet each day for 3 months. I was very much happy because my acne is gone. But after few days from Doxin intake after 3rd month acne came back just like it was before. When I consult the doctor he prescribed to take another 3 months saying it will completely remove the acne. But even after another 3 months acne came back.
  13. So I am 32, had acne and oily skin, blackheads blah blah blah, since I was 14....long time right... Tried every lotion potion, cream, pill, tablet, that you can think of...been to 3 derms who were useless.... Its ruined my life, my confidence, my self esteem, can anyone here relate?? Ive tried the detox, eating healthy, going natural with cleansers etc and stilllll zits and whiteheads.... How does everyone else here cope? Its ruining me.
  14. So I had fine skin until this one episode where I tried the glam glow face mask and the murad skin perfecting lotion. I'm not sure which did it but my face broke out in this terrible rash, my eyes were puffy and it lasted a week. I used hydrocortisone to help it down. After that my skin got worse and worse, (also a factor, I was just in my 20's at this point...) I noticed more pimples on my chest and there were ALOT on my usually clear back. Then I noticed these small bumps in lines on my c
  15. Like many of you, I too used to suffer from acne. My acne was almost non-existent on the left cheeck, but my right cheeck was severely damaged. There was never a period of more than 3 or 4 days when I didn't get a new pimple to join my old ones. My acne was mostly under the skin, the kind that hurts upon touching. Needless to say, being a girl that caused a huge blow on my self esteem. Cutting to the chase, I am sooo happy to say that I am clear now. My struggle with acne includes severa

  17. I'm totally considering this but I'm just so unsure. I notice my skin does get significantly worse just before my period is due and during it. Like really worse. The only thing putting my off is that Ive read alot of people having a side-effect of HAIR SHEDDING. And this is what worries me about it, I have naturally curly/medium thickness hair BUT it is very very thin at the front and looks as if Im receeding tbh sicne I only have alot of fine "baby" hair at the front. Spiro just seems as if i
  18. I've had some big cysts and pustules, deep under the skin, that have left NO scars or hyperpigmentation whatsoever. The whiteheads I get are small and they scab over, and they always leave dark little pinprick-sized spots of hyperpigmentation. I don't get it. For example, a few weeks ago I got a pustule on my left cheek. It seemed pretty deep, there was no head.. it hurt quite a bit. I left it alone for a few days and there still wasn't a head. I tried popping it, first blood came out, then
  19. I seriously need help. I've had these bumps on my cheeks for almost a year now, and nothing I have done has helped. I've used numerous face washes, countless spot treatments (like Persagel), and masks. These bumps usually stay the same size. On rare occasions some of them will get red and inflamed (like in the 1st photo I attached), but then they'll shrink again and go back to its previous state. I thought it was due from not washing my face after I wore makeup, so I stopped wearing makeup for t
  20. Ok, this is really hard for me to do and I can't believe I will post pics because I feel so embarrassed letting everyone here see my acne. Im 16 and started getting acne when I was 12. They were rare though (like 2 every 6 months) and didn't leave marks. 3 years later I started getting acne on my chin and forehead.....and I decided to use Benzac...and then the left side of my face suddenly broke out with like a layer of large red pimples which everyone noticed! These left me with my first hype
  21. Hi, I am a 26 yo. Male. Last night I noticed where my nose and face intersect, it was a little tiny bit red. When I touched it, I could feel almost like a bubble under the skin which I assumed was pus. So I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed it was a bit more red in appearance and I could still feel the bubble with my finger so I decided to put some toothpaste on the area and I went back to bed. I know some people say not to use toothpaste, and others say toothpaste works good. I hav
  22. I've had acne for about four years now, since I was 15. Years ago, I used to get acne on both my cheeks and my forehead area. My acne has always been pretty much mild, I usually only have 1 - 2 moderate sized pimples on my face at a time. If it's a bad breakout maybe 4. However, now, it seems that my acne's changed. I rarely break out on my forehead anymore. The last time I had a pimple there was five months ago, and before that pimple, the last one was five months before as well. In the pas
  23. Ive been battling acne since I was about 13 and now im 19. It seems to be calming down but I now have scarring and blackheads/clogged pores.. Ive been testing out different home made facials and treatments but my main routine is: AM: 1. Shower wash face with nigerian black soap 2. Apply lemon juice to my face right after shower and leave it for 30 mins 3. Rinse it off 4. Moisturize PM: 1. Cleanse 2. Apply tea tree oil to pimples 3. About 10 mins later apply moisturizer 4. Sleep

  25. I have these two pimples, each on the parallel sides of my nose under my eyes that came to a head months ago and I got rid of all the stuff in 'em, so they're basically "inactive." They're still red and raised, so I'm guessing it's just leftover inflammation that won't switch off. How do I get rid of them?
