  1. So i have started a new regimen which seems to be working in reducing my acne (which is mostly just clogged pores) i am not going to tell you what i am using (and taking) until i am sure that it is actually these things for sure that are helping. My original post mentioned that i was trialing Vitamin D however that really wasn't working out so i stopped taking it. If my current regimen keeps working i will post back within a few days so stay tuned. I have taken before and after pics of my new
  2. Hey guys, I have some questions ! *I'm on a low dose (20-40 mg) and I have been on accutane for about 4-5 months. Didn't have cystic acne but a lot of pimples that left acne marks on my face and back, and they wouldn't go away with any other treatment.. 1: Have any of you tried anything that could remove or just reduce red marks/hyperpigmentation while ON accutane? 2: my skin tend to blush up and get red, especially my nose and cheeks which make my acne marks look worse, I have started using
  3. The McDougall Program for Maximum Weight Loss. I wasn't using it to lose weight. I was using it to get clear skin. Why? This video right here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Qdwn2itsgg. Two beautiful twin girls with clear skin going on about how diet cleared them of their acne. It's a plant-based diet, but with a catch: You can't eat any fat. Not even natural fat. That meant no avocados, no nuts, no oils, nothing. You can't even cook with oils. Most of the stuff is raw. Oh my god, I don't know
  4. So I've been using Epiduo for 7 weeks in total. In those 7 weeks, I haven't moisturized the first 5 weeks. I started using Nature Republic's Bee Venom Emulsion/Moisturizer which is supposed to help acne prone skin for 2 weeks already. These are the moisturizer's main ingredients: Bee venom complex 73%, Salicylic Acid, Calamine powder, Alps glacier (MD201), Mistletoe extract, Camellia extract My skin has cleared probably 30% since I started using Epiduo. I still get breakouts every week, mayb
  5. Ok, so I've had acne pretty consistently for a year now. I've tried many different product packages, and plans. None of them seem to work. But what is strange to me is that my acne is itchy, and its really hard not to itch. Idk if they make anti-itch for your face or anything but I don't know why it would be like that. I have red patches of small pimples and then larger ones. Most focused areas are the center of my forehead, my cheeks on the sides close to my nose, and my temples. Its really the
  6. I have had these disgusting looking bumps for a month now and I'm desperate for them to be gone! The bumps started to appear after I used this cleansing oil. I've stopped using it for a month already but my forehead doesn't look any better. In fact, it has gotten worse! It doesn't look like regular acne to me since there's clumps of them and taking antibiotics/retin A for two weeks has not helped diminish the bumps. My bumps used to itch but now they don't really itch anymore. So, does it lo
  7. I have good hygiene, workout daily, but I still get acne? I can't stand going out in public bc I'm so self conscious about it. Any recommendations ;besides all the drugstore products that I've already tried....FML RN
  8. Hey everyone! So this summer I started having some breakouts on my skin, I was frustrated then, I am desperate now because everything just got worst. From a few pimples I got an invasion of them now, and I don't really know what to do. It first started in my right cheek, but then it migrated to my left cheek as well. My mother says it's stress from college, and it might be... but it's my third year in college, and I don't understand why it got so bad in a few months. I will admit my nutrition
  9. Hi, I hope this isn't too long, but please read and try to help me! So my acne is mild-moderate, mostly with small red forehead acne and maybe a few small white bumps or occasional red pimple on my cheeks. Last week, I realized that my skin was getting really clear. I had been taking a multivitamin for a while, and just started taking fish oil (Omega 3). I was also doing the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask pretty often. So by two weekends ago my skin was almost perfectly clear... and I a
  10. Hi everyone, So recently, I have been battling with white pus-filled pimples all around my face . I am not so sure what is going on. After going through some research, i realized they were called pustules. I used to suffer from eczema and that too for my face. So it was very rare of me to get pimples. Its rare for me to get pimples at all and suddenly i am seeing these white pimples all over my face. I feel super insecure about them because they have an extremly ugly apperance. Ive tried so
  11. I'm 19. I eat healthy, rarely have sugar in my diet. I drink around two litres of water daily + 2 cups of green tea. My skin has never been this bad in my life. Not even going through puberty. I don't have cystic acne. But they're clusters of pimples, I would usually get them on my cheeks badly(still do) but now I have then all along my chin it's like a little trail. They're weepy after I squeeze them then they scab. I get about a 5cent peice diameter of redness around the pimple and it make
  12. I have a hormonal scars that are slighlty indented and i have been using Braggs undiluted organic APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. It seems to be making a difference! I have uploaded a photo. The one that has a circle is the indented one. If it works itd be a great cheap alternative! I just rub some on the scars with a q-tip at night. Sometimes multiple times a night. When u apply it the area will become red, but itll be gone by the morning
  13. Hello everybody. I am a 20 year old female who has been scourering the Internet for years searching for answers to my acne problem. After all these years, I am finally ready to make my first post. I am going to tell you my story and share with you how I have finally gotten my skin to be clear and smooth (for the most part!) It all started when I was in eighth grade. I had the most beautiful skin you have ever seen. I'm serious. But I suffered from OCD and I craved regiments and routines in my
  14. Hey! I've been using the BP as spot treatment. The spots where i apply it are clear again, but with a price; my face is tomato red and peeling! Everytime i go without makeup, people ask if im sunburnt. If i wear makeup to cover up the redness, my peeling is even more noticeable and looks worse. Can you guys recommend something to get rid of this redness and peeling? I dont want to stop the BP, it's too good for my skin. It is 10% though, so should i go to a lower %? What should i do for redness?
  15. I have recently had sooo much trouble with my skin. I have tried everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Tea tree oil, clay masks, ACV, proactive, clean and clear, cetaphil, simple, say yes to tomatoes, burts bees, benzoyl peroxide, manuka honey, zinc, vitamin d3, vitamin b and going vegan JUST EVERYTHING and nothing seems to help. I have hormonal acne on my chin and a few pimples on my forehead that im ok with. Im really insecure about the pimples on my cheeks. There are many little red pimples on m
  16. In the past 2 months I have had some very small acne appear on my chin. I am writing to you guys as I notice it has become more red and has spread to the left side of my chin now too with a few dots appearing above my mouth by my nose, unlike before where it was minor and on the right side on my chin only. I had some break outs (not on my chin at the time) so I used a Neutrogena face wash to try and minimize the redness. I noticed that it didn't help and quickly stopped using it after maybe 3

  18. I have been on the prescription drug, Minocycline, for the past year. Before that i experienced not necessarily severe but pretty spontaneous acne..not in bunches just a lot of pimples by them selves mainly on chin, around lips, on cheek bones and fore head. I have tried creams and gels and prescription gels and nothing gets rid of them. Once I took Minocycline I rarely !!!! Very rarely would get pimples just sometimes when my period was coming up a few would pop up but nothing to stress over. R
  19. Okay so I got this cluster of tiny pimples by my nose (as you can see in the picture, sorry gross!) How do I get rid of these within a week!? I have a music festival to go to and it's going to be really hot so i'm hoping to not have to wear makeup :/ Some appear to be whiteheads but they're impossible to pop. They just keep filing up with more gunk after I attempt to pop them because I cannot get everything out. I just want to dry them out so I can put on moisturizer and they can go away! Some o
  20. Recently, a family member bought me Clean and Clear Advantage Oil Absorbing Cream Cleanser and Clean and Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Reviving Cleanser as a gift. I had a bad experience in the past with Clean and Clear, because I used it about a year ago, my skin always burned and I had marks/rashes on parts of my face. I imagine that it was an allergic reaction. So I was a bit apprehensive when my family member bought this for me. But I didn't want to be rude and not use it. I used it, a
  21. Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a long time but this past year, I've been having a lot of problems with these tiny bumps that keep forming on my forehead, cheeks, and on the sides of my face. Right now, I have the most on the side of my face. I have done many research on these bumps on acne.org and other websites and I have yet to find an exact description of the symptoms so I decided to start my own post. So these bumps I've been having, they show a lot when direct sunlight hits it and I
  22. (sorry this is so long ><, links to all the products below) Hi, I've been dealing with my acne since the start of college. I live in the city now, which I reckon can't be good for the skin, but there's not much I can deal with lifestyle-wise. It's been three years and my skin is getting worse as time goes on. So here I am trying to piece together a new regime to follow through on and hopefully see results. As for my skin, pictures speak volumes. my forehead: tons, and i mean
  23. What are the best essential oils for moderate to severe acne breakouts? Which ones worked best for you? How much did they cost? where did you buy them? so on and so forth. Lets put our heads together and find some solutions. I should have added that I like Tea Tree Oil.
  24. Hi everyone, happy new year! This is the first time that I am writing on a diary, or something like that. As you might have noticed, this log is about my accutane journey and I will be posting regular updates about my acne condition. (I'm so scared of what is about to happen! ) I started taking accutane yesterday on the 1st January (new year new face i guess hehe!). My doctor told me that the course might take 6-8 months so hopefully I will be acne free by the 6th month! Just to give some m
  25. Hello guys, I took accutane 40mg/day, for 7 months. I have been off it for a bout 2 and a half months, while my face remains clear, I recently started getting pimples in my scalp that hurt alot. Something similar happened the first time i was on doxycicline for 5 months right after stopping that within 2 weeks i got my scalp and face full of pimples, This is similar but to a lesser degree and its not on my face for now... Has anyone experienced this before? Does it go away? Thank yo
