  1. Hi There! I am so frustrated and I really need some help, my acne was moderately severe about a year ago, then I was put on some antibiotics and it got better but I had to stop (because... well there's a time mark). I am going back to the derm. in a few months but I don't want to be put back onto the antibiotics. BP doesn't work anymore and my face is constantly feeling oily (this happened after I had used ProActive a while back), if I drag a finger over my forehead it will typically be shiny
  2. This scar first appeared a week ago, it was a pimple that I popped it & then this appeared. The first picture is a day ago, the 2nd picture is from today. I have been using a scar cream on it, something similar to mederma. How long should this take to heal?
  3. Hi guys, I've been looking through this place a little bit for the past few weeks, and I thought I'd make a post today. I'm now 18 (almost 19) and I started having spots/acne in certain places around 2 years ago. I didn't know much about cleaning and moisturizing back then, and I unfortunately used to go crazy at these spots and pick and pop. Fast forward today, I have dark spots/marks from previous spots (it'd probably be the same as red scars, but I'm dark skinned so--) and I still get
  4. I almost forgot to post this, but then I remembered, TWO MONTHS! YAY!!! So, two months on Roaccutane. Hopefully it's going to be uphill from here on out. You'd be surprised to know that I finally got my script sent out, but it's the WRONG DAMN SCRIPT. So it will probably be another 6-10 years before the correct one will arrive. So, I'm still on 60mg. My skin isn't looking too bad at the moment. It is definitely smoother, for sure. I'm very, very dry all over my body though. My arms, my

My Doxycycline & Retin A Log

Hello All! Welcome to my Doxycycline (100 mg) and Retin-A (.025%) log! I will try to update this as much as I can during the next few months, and I hope that at least one person on this website (which I am new to, woo hoo!) will find this useful. Background Information I am a 15 year old, teenage girl who has had acne since 5th grade. My acne started out pretty light, but as the years went by it got progressively worse. When I was 14 years old, my acne began to flare up so I visited my

    Adding Pictures! Help!

I have no idea how to upload pictures o here. I would like to show my success, if there is any. Someone please help!! It would be GREATLY appreciated
  7. I just need to say, WOW, my skin was flaky yesterday. I have no idea what happened. I washed my face and flakes came off on my towel! I could've peeled so much of my face off. It was weird, but I suppose it's better to let some layers shed and keep my skin as fresh as possible. Gotta get all of the rest of that buried acne out of there! Speaking of such, I'm very irked by a cluster of bumps under my skin on my problem cheek. The other side of my face is SO much clearer, what's going o
  8. Now on day 22, and here are some pictures because ive been wondering... is it working? Is my acne an okay amount at this stage? Ive had my intial breakout and it was HORRIBLE! Is it getting better??? Hoping for some feedback.... DESPERATELY. IF YOU ARE PAST DAY 22, WAS YOURS LIKE THIS? WHEN DID IT GET BETTER? PLEASE FEEDBACK LOVE LIVI XXXXXXX
  9. (Yes I know, never pop cystic acne, I've learned my lesson) This morning I couldn't take it anymore and popped a cystic acne on my nose, now it's all red and somewhat flaky (not raised). What can I do to make this go away? I've heard everything from Neosporin to BP but decided to make my own post because I'd really like to get an answer for my own situation. I know this pales in comparison to some of the other horror stories I've seen on these boards, but any help is appreciated -- I'm going ba
  10. How's it going everybody? I'm choosing not to share any personal information, but I am a 21 year old male college student starting what I think will be a five month course of prescription accutane, specifically Myorisan. For a little bit of background: Throughout high school I had very, very light acne. We're talking one or two pimples every now and again. I did absolutely nothing to my face and never even thought about it. Towards the end of my senior year and starting with my freshman

    Here We Go...

Well here I am. I finally gave in to my doctors urging to take Accutane. I guess I kept avoiding it because I was worried about potential side effects, but after having the worst few months of acne I've ever had in my life... I realized the time had come to just do it already. Oddly enough after having to wait almost 2 months to actually start (between the pregnancy test and blood work and whatnot) my skin right now is actually not at it's worst (but it's still not "normal" by any means...)
  12. So, here's the basic rundown: I'm 18, around 60kg, and have mild to moderate acne. I've had it since I was about 16, and it's not horribly red or painful, but it has got progressively worse with nothing working on it. It's gotten to the point where I have been subscribed 30mg of Isotretinoin for the first 6 weeks. At first I was eager to start it, but I've had doubts about the long term effects, and I have so many questions and nobody to answer them! Is there any other hope? Will I grow
  13. Hello folks, I've had severe acne when I was younger (7 years ago) and moderate acne on my chin ever since. Recently, when I began inspecting my skin more, I noticed these white lumps on both sides of my face. Are they acne scars or something else? Other information I got is: I dry shave with an electric shaver I have been using a lot of moisturisers because I have dry skin in the climate where I live. I used Epiduo and Tetralysal to combat the acne I had on my chin, when this dis

    Advice on My Acne

Hey everyone, I'm new here. My name is Jamal. I'm 19. I started having acne when I was probably around 12-13 years old and of course I've had it ever since. I was one of the unfortunate ones in my family to get hit by it. Before I would get just a pimple or two here and there but they'd be large on the downside. But now it's widespread all across my face. However on the bright side they aren't massive. I'm assuming I have moderate acne at the moment. So, I'm looking for tips. What can I do for
  15. This is the first time I have uploaded any pics on here. 10 weeks into the regimen and I couldnt't be any happier with the results. Excuse the duck face pic...i find it weird to just smile and take pictures of myself.
  16. Hi everyone I wanted to share with you my recent experiment with the 'caveman regimen' that many people are turning to out of frustration with treating Acne. My acne background is as follows: my skin has been prone to moderate whitehead pimples and sore inflamed skin since the age of approx. 14 was prescribed oxytetracycline at 15 (I didn't ask for them nor was i at the doctors for acne. I regret agreeing to take them) Between 14-23 I have been on 6 different antibiotics at separate time

  18. Hello! For the last 3 years or so I have searched online for answers about why my skin was so red. Could it be from my acne? Could I have rosacea before I was even 30? Would it ever go away? Who else had this kind of redness that I did? I am here to post my progress, and maybe be of some kind of reference or guidance to someone else who is searching for answers, sees my skin, and can relate. I had always had some kind of acne since I was about 11. I never did NOT have some kind of blemish on my
  19. So.. what do you think? Mild, moderate, severe, and which types of acne?
  20. Hey guy's I'm finally on my 5th month and "1 more to go!" phewww... sure feel's good. Here is my story for you ladies and gentlemen. I'm just an everyday normal teenager who came across getting spots in year '6' and it progressed throughout the years to acne. Life went down hill I suffered deep depression, lack of self confidence I would hate to see my self in the mirror I would cry in mornings and bunk of school faking to be ill for days on end. I was always shy and felt as if
  21. So I'm a female, in my 20s and I suffer from moderate/severe acne. I use to have very severe acne about three or four years ago, I still think it's still severe to an extent, but not as bad as it was before. Anyway, this is what I'll be using for three months: Clean & Clear 5% BPO wash (or the PCA Skin31 5% BPO wash) Acne.org Treatment (Only at night) Acne.org AHA+ (Only apply at night 2/3 a week) BPO mask (one to twice a week) Taking: Multi+ Daily Glow Mult
  22. Hello, thanks for reading my log. Before I start my journey, here is a little bit about my situation... I am 17 years old with a combination of moderate cystic and inflamed acne. I have dealt with this for quite some time now, and have tried just about every diet alteration/natural remedy in the book. Although I am a health freak, I decided on March 1st, 2016, that I would begin taking Accutane. I am doing this for the betterment of my communication and social skills, as I am going into the po
  23. Milk Free Diet Cleared My Cystic Acne, And.... ... Eliminating Sugar and most High GI/GL (Glycemic Index/Glycemic Load) foods cleared the rest of my 'white heads'. This worked for me, and will work for you. What I have been able to learn and understand for the past several years is that each and every person is different, and everyone will need to find what works for them and them alone. No one can do it for you, but this will do more for you than you could ever imagine. If anyone wa
  24. So I've decided I'm going to follow the regimen precisely. Recently I've jumped in to the full benzoyl peroxide dosage charts and my face has literally felt like a statue! My aim is to be clear for when I go to China on a school trip in October. My name is, well just call me clear, and I love cats. I'm also fairly sporty and enjoy football (come on you R'sssss). As I'm a Britain the price for ordering the Acne.org products is horrendous, so ive bought products from stores, here they are; C
