    End Of Week 5

Hello All, So, I feel confident enough to post a pic...before my roaccutane treatment began (check out that STONKER on my foehead!) and after 5 weeks. Happy to say that the results are great ! Still on the same skincare regime and not experiencing any flakiness on my face or dryness - so Body Shop's Vitamin E range is perfect for me. Seeing my derm this week for my first follow up appt, quite excited to hear her advice on my prescription, if she'll bump me up to 60mg a day. Still no
  2. This scar first appeared a week ago, it was a pimple that I popped it & then this appeared. The first picture is a day ago, the 2nd picture is from today. I have been using a scar cream on it, something similar to mederma. How long should this take to heal?
  3. Ive tried 5 prescription creams and doxycycline. Nothing has worked.
  4. My prom is in a few weeks and I'm having a mental breakdown. Does anyone know what kind of acne this is and how I can cure it?? My face is always extremely dry also, so all I can do is rinse my face off with water. I'm not able to use any cleansers.
  5. Worried cause whenever i have tried to pop these ones in the past that are right next to my lip they always scar should i just put benzol peroxide on it ?
  6. I have attached my before and after. This is from 2/20 to today, 2/24. I DO have tinted moisturizer on. And it still doesn't cover my scarring all the way. I have never been a face picker until a few years ago. Around the time I was living on my mom and dad's living room floor with my husband. We were saving up to buy a home. I was 20, he was 21. After we bought our home and finally settled I still kept picking. I knew it was a nervousness thing, because I also used to be a habitual cheek-c
  7. I've had chest acne for at least 2-3 years. Now that the actualy acne has completely settled, I have horrible scars left behind and am wondering if there is anything I can do? I'm willing to do anything here. I have been using Vita-K scar cream for at least 6 months and honestly, it has done nothing which is sad. I don't know what I can do. I need something that will work for extreme scarring. Here are some pictures: http://imageshack.us.../img0385xz.jpg/ http://imageshack.us.../img0386qa.
  8. So as you can see in the pictures I have scarring isolated to my mid-cheeks. (besides the holes + rolling scars) I have never seen such scarring before - (lined / uniform). Can anyone identify it? Also, I have attached multiple pictures - in my the opinion the left cheek is worse than right. But both are bad. In your honest opinion, would you identify my scarring as mild, moderate or severe? I have visited a dermatologist specifically about scarring once (6 months ago) and he basically t
  9. Hello there. Currently i’m 15 years of age. I’ve had acne since probably age 12. I’ve used many over the counter products such at BP and minocycline and all this other stuff. When i first got on BP (benzoyl peroxide) I just slathered that stuff on my face. For the past 2 years my skin has been pretty darn red, dry, super sun sensitive, and irritated. To me it looks super bad and it’s kind of depressing. I kept using BP cuz if i stopped then my face would breakout. I do not have cystic acne or ba
  10. How bad is my acne? Also take into consideration that my skins is very unflat as well (can be hard to see on the image). So, yeah, how bad is it..?
  11. Hey guys, I've only come on to this Forum just to share my experience, I think it will be good for me to put it out there. Since 2010 I have suffered with bad acne, and I have been to the doctors and been given many different creams, lotions, gels and tablets. You name it, I've probably had it. Unfortunately, here in the UK a doctor can only prescribe upto a certain level of strength in tablets and creams. If nothing the doctor has prescribed has worked, they will then refer you to a dermato
  12. I've decided to post pictures of my acne as it is today, as I am really starting to lose the battle mentally. Some background info: 17, male, from Australia, average height, a TINY bit underweight. Haven't consumed dairy, gluten or any high carbs for a month now. Before that month for a few weeks I was eating junk food for about 2 weeks. Before that I was on a serious healthy diet which included no gluten or high carbs, ALL natural food, all raw vegetables and healthy meat for 2 months. I exe
  13. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've noticed my hair falling out slightly more than before and I've been on Accutane for almost 3 weeks. I never took pictures of my scalp before so I don't have anything to compare this picture to, but does it look like I have bald spots?
  14. Why is my skin so much paler than my body? I've tried to use nothing on it but its not seeming to work? I used to wash and exfoliate my face 4 times a day but it doesn't seem to be going back to normal!!
  15. what type of scar is this?any way of treating it other than "surgically"? would u consider it deep or shallow? (the indented one) right next to it is a red mark which was actually slightly raised and i though may be its a 'hypertropic scar' but after weeks it seems to recede into the skin(its almost like normal flat skin now,but with a tough looking hyperpigmentation) also, notice the huge pores(or may be scared pores,am not sure!) do u have such pores? thanks.
  16. From the album: I can't believe I've found a cure

I've had bad acne since I was about 15, I'm now almost 25. It started as 'bad acne' and moved onto cysts and puffiness, horrible painful lumps under the skin, millions of whiteheads, blackheads, postules, you name it. It felt like a never ending trauma no matter what I did to try to stop it. Treatments I tried and their success rates, from least helpful to most: (I've left out the most trivial things like getting a full nights sleep, drinking lots of water and taking your makeu
  17. Hi I've been on accutane for a little over a month and for the first month I was taking 20 mg a day. 4 days ago I got bumped up to 30 mg a day. My face was always a little pink from proactive which kinda helped. But my face is really starting to clear up! Since ive been on accutane. But ever since I have been on accutane my face is ether really red or pink! I skateboard everyday so I'm in the sun 6 hours a day. I wear SPF 55 oil free sunscreen wile I'm in the sun a reapply it every 1 to 2 hours

  20. I did terribly posting regularly on here after all, but I do want to make an update on my status. I finished my treatment at the end of July. I was prescribed accutane by my dermatologist and I was to be on it for 4 months. Boy was I ever glad to finish taking those pills. I had to put up with a lot of dry, peeling skin. Especially around my lips. But making sure to moisturize constantly really did help me from looking too bad. The one thing I did enjoy was my hair not getting greasy at all.
