  1. Hey guys, so all my life I have been eating processed peanut butter, and I know this is a big cause of my breakouts of acne. I have recently found some cool facts about organic peanut butter, and I wanted to share a video I made about this with u guys, cheers!

My diet wasn't always as consistent as it should have been... I wasn't really aware of gluten back then, which I started to avoid only a few months later. overall my acne looked okay, wasn't happy with it at all. I set myself the deadline of December 2014 to get rid of my acne for good, so I was definitely committed to keep on with the good work!

Before - approx 3 months before starting the Paleo diet. After - approx 6 months after starting the Paleo diet.
  4. This post has been a long time coming. I think it's finally time. I will try to keep this as short as possible, no guarantees ;] I apologize for the general lack of pictures. I have a few on my profile of when my acne was at it's worst. Otherwise, I never took pictures of it and ALWAYS wore makeup out and when taking pictures. I don't wear foundation or anything any more, though. This is the back-story. Skip ahead for the meat and sweet potatoes. . When I was 12, I started to devel
  5. I am a 22-year-old female and have been struggling with acne for about 4 years now. When my skin is REALLY good, I have a few pimples on or near my jaw line and chin, and perhaps the occasional forehead zit. And when my skin is at it’s worst, I have the full cystic acne beard and forehead intruders plaguing my face. The cysts are inflamed, painful, and absolutely depressing. During bad breakouts, I tend to isolate myself. Friends and acquaintances think I have a very weak immune system, but
  6. Hi there! I'm new to this site and forums, but could really use some support and advice. I'm 30, female, have had various types of acne since my teenage years. For the past year or so, I've ONLY had breakouts on my jaw and chin, nowhere else. I've noticed that my skin has been very oily, even though I use all oil-free and gentle products. I had cystic acne on my chin, but the cysts are more rare now, though I've started getting frequent white heads on my chin due to excessive oil. I've recently
  7. I've been on this diet for two days now and so far it's worked the best for my acne! I've been using the Acne.org BP for around five years now and while it used to work for me, suddenly my skin has become extremely sensitive to it. My skin tone was constantly uneven and redness was prominent everywhere. My acne was definitely not going away. Story of our lives right... A week ago I decided to stop BP all together and focus on moisturizing my skin and not irritating it. At the same time, I
  8. From the album: Acne Progression - Holistic Treatment - Dietary Change

I start to shift my diet more and more towards the Paleo type of diet, getting rid of non-foods and replacing it with greens and high quality foods. I also got into juice fasting - and I still do today, 8 months later. The way I do this is that I simply replaced my breakfast with 0.5-1L of juice. I juice a lot of greens, just mostly vegetables, roots and a little bit of fruit for the taste. Trying to get rid of acne for already 6 months and being a medical student, I started to really understa

Back in Januari, the only thing I did was to stop eating that much sugar. I used to be a crack addict on sugar, eating ice cream, cookies, soda, chocolates, etc. all day long... Making this change was a big deal for me, it definitely wasn't easy at all. It was only when I stopped eating that crap that I realised how addicted I was to the sugar... I definitely wasn't on a "paleo diet" or "low carb diet" back then. Not at all. I was just limiting the sugar intake, which made a huge difference
  10. It should be common sense by now, that e.g. SHBG, IGF-1 and Insulin are important values for health and clear skin in particular. Furthermore, that “westernized” cultures are more affected by acne than “non-westernized”. There sure are a lot of differences between these two lifestyles, but diet is what plays the most significant part in the acne development in my opinion. So the following text is about the advantages of a paleolithic diet. To explain the title, I like to tell you my acne
  11. Hello! I'd like to share how I got rid of my acne so that it might help some of you get rid of yours. Here's the short version: cleanser= pine tar soap, treatmen=paleo diet, moisturizer=jojoba oil, switch from liquid makeup to mineral powder full story: I stopped using BP because it made me extremely dry and itchy. I weaned off of it while starting a gluten free diet. This was Jan 2012. The diet worked amazingly until my acne came back a few months later. I stumbled upon the paleo
  12. This is how I cleared my acne. Acne all starts from your digestion guys, if your body isn't properly eliminating toxins it will show through your skin. Some foods aren't meant for everybody, everyone's body is different. Like a lot of people, I found that my body did not agree with gluten and dairy. They were toxic to my body. Change your diet, change your skin, change your life. Here's a short video I made that's worth your time. The transformation is amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?
  13. I was following the paleo diet (no grains, sugar, dairy, or beans and focusing on fruits, veggies, nuts, fish, lean meat, etc.) and it was not only helping my body but also my skin. It looked a lot firmer, healthier, and had more life to it. And no breakouts in sight. A month into my diet, I got sick... very sick. I won't go into the nitty gritty details but I ended up in the hospital needed fluids due to dehydration and also just double checking that it wasn't anything serious. I have never bee

TO EVERYBODY: 1. Acne occurs to people that have a genetic predisposition to develop acne. Other people might have no acne but have weight problems for example. 2. Acne only develops once the body as been triggered in some way. It is only once something has been going wrong, that the body will start showing it by developing acne (genetic predisposition) 3. It is absolutely crucial to understand that acne is a symptom of a bigger underlying disease. This could be gluten intolerance, candida, G

From the album: Acne Progression - Holistic Treatment - Dietary Change

Hi everybody, my name is Thomas. In this series I'm going to share with you how dietary changes, detoxification processes and lifestyle changes made a difference in my acne. I hope I can inspire you to AT LEAST TRY to do the same thing before making decisions with your dermatologist. During the process I didn't take any chemicals at all, no antibiotics, no topical creams whatsoever. I always suffered from acne since I was about 12 years old. Of course it was never that bad until I turned 19 o
