  1. Okay I'm 14 and my acne has been really bad in the past couple months. I'm seriously so embarrassed to do anything. I'm even embarrassed being around my family. I'm sick and tired of my acne and trying so many products. This is gonna be my little acne diary type thing so I can update about changes and look back to see what works and what doesn't. Below is a list of things I've tried. Caveman Regimen Proactiv Clearisel Urine Therepy Lush Products Elf zit zapper OCM and probably a lot more
  2. I had acne ever since 8th grade, it was very mild at first, and then it started becoming severe at 12th grade and freshmen year of college. I tried several products such as proactiv, clean and clear, neutrogena, Dan's BP, apple cider, honey with cinnamon mask, and several others. I tried something new, just exactly last year. I went from 15-20 pimples on my face, to somewhere around like only 1-2 pimples every 3-4 months. As of right now I have 3-4 under my chin, it is probably due to shaving be
  3. I'm using Cetaphil oily skin cleanser (http://www.acne.org/cetaphil-oily-skin-cleanser-reviews-1452/) and occasionally Oxy facial cleanser with 2% Salicylic acid and noticed that right after I use either cleanser (especially the Oxy one), some parts of my face would turn really shiny, and I know it's not because of the natural oils on my face (Sebum) because my skin feels really tight and dry after using them (obviously since they remove the oils), then I'd apply moisturizer but the shine is sti
  4. I started using Epiduo (2.5% BP) a week ago, and I just bought today oxy facial cleanser (with 2% Salicylic acid) and Clean & Clear Dual Action moisturizer (oil-free and has 0.5% Salicylic acid), I was wondering is that a good combination for my skin? I have mild to moderate acne and oily skin. I also bought Cetaphil oily skin cleanser (which doesn't have Salicylic acid or BP) to use after I finish the oxy cleanser. I feel unsafe putting all that stuff on my face, and I think it might be ove
  5. Hi, I am new to this forum so apologiesif it's in the wrong section, but I would like to share my success story. Skip to the end on what I used, rest assured I am not selling any product to profit myself. I have been battling acne too and this is what I found to help me. I’m male and live in UK, 19 years old. I am half chinese and half viet, I’m just giving this information for any who can relate to me. I have had acne for about 2 years, and around last year it started to get real bad. I act

  7. Hey has anyone tried this OXY Seaweed Power Fresh Skin Wash????? I bought it coz it seemed really good as its SLS, paraben and alcohol free, good for sensitive skin and kills the bacteria that causes acne. But I found out that it's got the seaweed/algae extract Hydrolyzed Algin which has a comedogenicity of 4 (http://www.cosdna.co...fd99711274.html) I don't know whether to use it or not. Would it cause acne if I used it as a facial wash? I have mild acne. I get like blackheads and wh
  8. I'm going to start writing how I feel about my acne, the products I use, what works and what doesn't, and anything else acne related. Feel free to post your thoughts on your own acne, or give me suggestions on how I can treat mine. Background info: I am fourteen years old and have been battling acne for what seems like forever (but really at the MOST probably 2 years). I pick my acne to the point that they've become hyperpigmentation scars. I avg about 7 hours of sleep a day. I usually eat s
  9. Hadn't bought any in ages and just ran out of a bottle that expired about half a year ago(!). Boots don't stock it anymore, and the pharmacist at Lloyds told me it'd been discontinued. Pretty hard to believe, seeing as how I felt it was amazing. Been using the 5% or 10% benzoyl peroxide creams for 15 years, and they worked so well I'd never thought about trying anything else. Now that I have to; well, I don't even know what else is out there! Lloyds' pharmacist recommended Quinoderm to m
  10. I was just reading about brown seaweed and zinc being helpful in treating acne. It was been formulated into some products made in the UK. Here's a link to an article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2146684/Could-seaweed-based-face-ash-cure-acne-Scientists-claim-cut-spots-thirds.html Has anyone tried it?

  13. I am 19 years old and have had acne since my early teens. It's hard to classify it as severe, moderate, or mild since it changes all the time. A few weeks ago, it was almost completely cleared up, and now all of a sudden it's gotten really bad again. The only change between now and then has been that I came home from college for winter break. Ironically, in college I get little sleep and am often stressed, but my acne was better there. It doesn't make much sense, since sleep and relaxation are s
