So I've been reading now that acne and my migraines can actually be linked to ovulation. I've been tracking my migraines and they do seem to occur when I'm supposed to be ovulating. My question is: If my acne is a normal skin reaction to my normal hormone fluctuations, why should I be ashamed and embarrassed? I am otherwise doing everything I can to prevent my acne, other than going on BC pills because I no longer believe in altering my natural hormones. So I'm going to think about it like

My acne has gotten significantly better and I guess I could consider myself cleared, however, there is a pattern to my acne that has baffled me since it began at 14 Starting from my period my skin gets progressively worse, it becomes red, blotchy, rough, extremely oilly and pores are huge. Then, a day or two before ovulation I have a minor breakout. But as soon as I have ovulated, the whole look and texture of my skin will clear up, my face glows and my pores seem to dissapear. I have been taking Beyaz since December and although overall I see an improvement in the clarity of my skin and reduction of acne, I still seem to be getting a crazy breakout mid cycle or around ovulation time. I am so thankful to this forum because a post made back in 2010 from a user named RedMarkedGirl changed my life. After I weaned my second child from breastfeeding, my skin went nuts. Giant nodule-like jawline cystic acne that hurt and felt itchy attacked my face every month around ovulation, and took forever to heal, only for more to surface. Also large pimples spotted my t-zone. It was so upsetting, and I tried it all. Even going back on the pill did nothing for me. After nearly 3 years of

Question that is driving me insane.... i have been on orthocyclen for about 15 months. This entire time I've had a ton of cervical mucus. Like so much that it's making me crazy. Is this normal? I was on Yasmin on and off due to conceiving for a total of 11 years and never had this. The crazier part is that I feel like I'm ovulating...how is this possible? My acne has always been mid cycle, during ovulation, and I find that now...even on the pill, when my skin break out its mid cycle. My g

The Dermatologist I saw today was really nice. He is my named one, but not who I saw last time. He gave me quite a lot of useful information. I mentioned first the red scars. He said it isn't scarring but actually the skin redness described in the information leaflet, a listed side effect. I assumed that would be full face redness but apparently this is what it refers to. He said when I finish the medication it will fully go and fairly quick. I showed him my face and told him that it has just
