  1. Hey guys, I'm here to share my story about Retin A damage. I used Retin A for 2 months (exactly 12 uses) and it destroyed my skin. I had very nice skin before this happened and was only given Retin A as a preventive against aging and for a few chin breakouts. It has caused huge pores, orange peel texture, dents, lines, cracks, dehydrated, dry, molted skin with a shiny film covering it. I'm extremely depressed about this, but I'm still hopeful that this damage can be fixed. I'm just short of 3
  2. My current situation - terrible large pores all over my face. I am a guy and I use a pore filler (aka basically makeup to try to hide this). I have been depressed for close to a year as a result of this condition. I never used to cry but now cry or tear up almost every day. Background: bad acne early in high school but retin-a cleared it up well by end of high school. By college I only had the occasional blemish but always had bad blackheads on my nose. I continued to apply retain a to my
  3. Hi guys, I have received several laser treatments such as Fraxel:repair, Intracel (RF needle), and a CO2 laser. I also have received MTS and botobio peel. Personally, I think MTS made my skin worse and made my skin look like orange peel. Right now, my whole skin texture is uneven and I really want to fix this. I look just like the picture from the link below, maybe a bit better. http://www.realself.com/question/orange-peel-texture-after-pearl-fracional-laser I have read a few posts saying th
  4. Has anyone here been damaged by retinoids and gotten their skin back to normal? I am desperate for hope. I don't mean normal irritation. I'm talking orange peel skin, enlarged/suddenly visible pores, plasticky coating look, discoloration, thinning of skin, crepeiness, wrinkles, random indentations and lines, weak/fragile/lax skin etc etc Im so done with what's happened with my own situation with a retinoid, it's going to be 5 months since I used it come the end of January and I can't
  5. Warning: Long as Hell I'm going to include many things I've experienced in the past with my skin (not just the current issue) so that anyone reading this can hopefully take something away from it. And so that the history of my skin is not an unknown variable in what happened to me. Today: My entire face is wrecked right now. And I don't know what to do, I'm pacing around my house, losing sleep, sobb
  6. Hello everyone! I never had acne all my life, but for some reason about 5 months before my 22nd birthday, I started breaking out. I tried absolutely everything. I have really big pores and very oily skin, which makes me break out quite a bit (nothing severe, but pretty annoying). My doctor put me on Tactuo. I used it 2 nights in a row and used less than the recommended dose. I didn't use any last night. Now, my skin burns like crazy. This morning I washed my face gently and applied moisturizer
  7. Today is day one of my regimen to try and combat this newly acquired skin texture. After having a rough breakout for no reason that I could fathom, I turned to Trentinoin (Retin-A) as a fix to help with the irritation and down right pain. I am in the military, which requires me to wear my hair up for work and it is the most depressing thing to do when you know that all of your flaws are there for the world to see. I don't wear makeup, because by the end of a shift it's melted off anyhow. So, af
  8. My forehead got a somewhat different texture to it after maybe 3 months on isotretinoin, nothing too major, and now indented lines keep appearing on my face. I'm not picking at my face, and don't have any acne. Anyone else had this with isotretinoin? What is this and can it be fixed? I've read plenty on tretinoin products like Retin-A causing this.

I've had what seem to be small hypertrophic scars since age 19 along with some collagen loss mixed in. The scars haven't changed much in years. Would fraxel help these or would that make the hypertrophic scars worse?
  10. Hello, Does anyone have any success stories regarding pore size? TCA cross seems to be the best option but carries with it the chance that the pore will widen. Just wondering if anyone has successfully diminished their pore size or orange peel texture. If so, how?
  11. DO NOT OVERUSE RETIN-A, OR GO OUT IN THE SUN WITH IT. YOU WILL PROBABLY GET THIS IF YOU DO. I like to think I am good at congregating things I read: I have had orange peel texture for a little while now and have scoured the internet for some answers on how to make it better. Disclaimer: This is an educated opinion Orange peel texture comes from a variety of damage to the skin. Whether it's Retin-A, Acid, or laser, the irritation from these treatments can lead to inflammation or excessive
  12. I have been treating acne scars for about 2 years now. I never took a photo before I began any treatment, so I do not have a baseline of what I looked like before. However, with continuous treatments, my skin has become more sensitive, reddish (hyperpigmentation), and bumpy. I have very oily skin due to genetics and large pores. I have had acne since I was 14 (currently 25) and fought cystic acne for a year before I used accutane to turn everything around. After my acne was normalized, I was
  13. This is my skin. (See pictures) I'm 17 years old, female, and I have been dealing with acne since I was 12, but it properly started when I was 14. A brief background to my skin: I used Duac when I was about 15. It helped with my acne, but caused my skin texture to react leaving me with an orange peel-like texture, large pores. I think it is also due to over-exfoliation. I was prescribed differin later on, honestly didn't really do much at all. Just made my skin dry, the pore size staye
