  1. FEAR ME! Yes! I quit benzoyl peroxide cold turkey.. One day I just .. STOPPED. OK. Well, I am at 1 month. I thought my acne was bad while on the REGIMEN. HOLY COW. This last month has been awful. I've broke out on my forehead and on my chin; places I've NEVER EVER got acne before. Not on my nose, however...strange. Not to exclude my cheeks and the sides of my face. During this last month I've had to prepare myself for college which means being out in public and showing them my ugly mu
  2. From the album: My journey and progress

Almost all my scars are gone and almost completely clear. This is a miracle.
  3. Today was my 1 month check up. My liver function was elevated since last time... that makes me a little nervous. They didn't really say too much about it and all I saw on the sheet was that it said +40 ? I still got my prescription for this month I'm just praying it isn't eleveated too much and I can continue to take this for the full 5 months. Today my derm gave me 6 shots of cortisone. 5 in some larger nodules and 1 in my lip? The corner of my lip is really cracked so she gave me a cortiso
  4. Before I crack into the bulk of this post, let me give you an idea of contraceptives I've used/acne treatments I've received.. Started aged 14 on Dianette (Co-cypriniol) because I seemed to have an abnormal amount of hair for a female and felt uncomfortable about it. Symptoms of excess hair improved and I came off it (3 years later - 17 y/o) to get the implant in my arm. I became very hormonal and had a constant period so to deal with this, I was put on Microgynon (Rigevidon). Had th
  5. So tomorrow will the mark 1 month of using Acne.Org regimen and I've got amazing results already, but my chin area is still peeling(flaky) but it's not excessive or so noticeable until you are all up in my face and I still have acne scars which is normal. My question is can I start using the AHA+ tomorrow or I have to wait until the flakiness on my chin area completely goes away? Please, please, please reply.
  6. Hi there, for those of you on the accutane journey, those of you who are considering it and those that have finished. This is my own experience this far. Anyone is welcome to share ) I personally know how discouraging it can be to deal with acne, especially cystic--- the scarring and concerns of further scarring are what finally convinced me this was my next step. I had never dealt with acne until my late 20s. I have tried everything else .... And was willing to try anything... Except accutane
  7. As of tomorrow I will have completed one month of my Accutane course. So far it's really hard to say if I've seen much improvement. About the third week in, I got an initial breakout on my cheeks/jawline, chin, and around my mouth. I've never had an issue with blackheads before but in the past couple weeks the pores in my t-zone have been filled with them. i'm assuming it's just the medicine clearing out all the gunk in my pores. I can say that the initial breakout has definitely calmed dow
  8. I had my one month appointment at the dermatologist on Thursday morning. She was really impressed with how I’ve taken to it and her eyes lit up when I said I’d not had an initial break out. Of course everyone reacts differently to the medication but she said that it filled her with confidence that this treatment was going to be effective for me personally. She upped my dose from 30mg to 70mg for the next month and said it was a good idea to try and get as many mg under my belt before the
  9. Just about done with my first month. I saw the Dr. today, labs are good and the dose will remain at 40mg/day at least for the next month. I am getting some cystic outbreaks in random places of my face that I did not have acne prior to accutane. NOTHING horrible. If these outbreaks continue then my dose will be increased at my next monthly check up. Since my last post I have experienced these symptoms: migraine on one occasion dryness increasing on skin, decreasing on scalp dry eyes, so
  10. I'm 17 years old and have just started accutane for my moderate face acne almost a month ago. I figured I would write about it since its what helped me decide whether or not I wanted to start my treatment . I'm currently on 30mg a day, although my dermatologist has told me he will continue to up my dose throughout the next few months. So far I haven't had an awful breakout as a lot of people have described, I've had a few new spots come up on my face that are red and quite sore, and a few on
  11. I wonder if I can start using aha on my face. I start regime on the first of June so now it's about one month. My face is pretty much clear except one or two pimples around my jawline (I used to breakout a lot in that area) and acne scar. I have mild acne to begin with, as expected it didn't take that long to clear my face. I try use aha on my neck before, it didn't have any bad reaction and my skin is really soft in the next morning (my neck was really dry and flanky because I used bp on my ne
  12. Hey all So, I recently started my second course of Accutane (40mg/day +Vitamin E/BC) and I'm just about done with my first month. I don't know exactly if I had an IB necessarily, I've had large, almost cyst-like bumps pop up, but not all at once. I thought for sure I would stop having large bumps by the end of my first month, but since I woke up with a huge cyst on my chin this morning, I suppose not. Is this typical? I have been experiencing some side effects that didn't occur during
