  1. So I made a post in March 2017 concerning my use of L-Lysine. After about 2 weeks or so I noticed the left side of my face was breaking out terribly so I quite. After, I stuck to my eating habits and by the summer time I was (and still am) vegan. Here is where it gets a bit interesting.... Over the summer, I decided this would be my time to finally CURE my acne. I saw a dermatologist in the spring who prescribed me a benzyol peroxide wash, retin-A, a lotion, and of course birth control. I
  2. Hi everyone, I have been dealing with this problem for months now ever since using Grapeseed oil. I always have acne prone skin prone to clogged pores, however i went clear after pregnancy and treating them using just carrot health soap and .25% tretinoin liquid. I get a few spots here and there prior to my menstruation but not the clogged pores on my forehead cheeks and chin have subsided. After using grapeseed oil last September, my face was a mess. I though it was purging, but the clogged
  3. Hi guys! i just made an account and just now found out about acne.org and really wanted to try out the three step regimen. The problem is i wear foundation every single day due to the acne scars i have and acne but, i didn't see anything about removing makeup. I know acne.org stress es not to irritate skin when using the regimen but i don't think i can go out without makeup but i also want to see results! I remove my makeup with cotton pads and the garnier miscellar water but even that makes m
  4. Hi everybody! I'm going to do a super fast update on how the oil cleansing is coming along. Sorry I have no pictures to share today, but I will by the end of the week. I have (surprisingly) started to break out A LOT. So much that I began to get concerned that I totally screwed myself over and ruined my skin. But I'm trying to stay hopeful! I am still exfoliating once a week as well as using a clay mask. I have been using the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask but I think I will switch back over
  5. Oil Cleansing 101 Introduction Everyone always tells me I'm a pretty girl. So why am I the only one who doesn't think so? Being 17 years old is supposed to be one of the best times of your life. You're one year away from being 18 and going to college. But how can you have any fun if your skin doesn't want you to? I started getting acne when I was 13. It was "mild", as they call it. That's when I kind of realized I hadn't been washing my face all these years. So I started. I went strai
  6. I discovered this blog here on OCM and all the negative experiences these women had that exactly matched my own. - Read all the comments - http://beautyeditor....e-on-your-skin/ Around April of 2012 my boss told me about OCM and finally convinced me to try it so I bought castor oil in the drug aisle and mixed it with my extra virgin olive oil in the kitchen. I used it off and on maybe once every 2 weeks for several months...never noticed a major effect but did start noticing slightly more cl
  7. Hey everyone so I know its been awhile but I have been super busy! So here is an update: I went to my dermatologist two weeks ago and she decided to up my dosage to 60mg. while I was there she said everything seemed to be going good and that I should be done with getting an initial breakout (lets hope). Last week I had three cystic bumps on my left cheek but those went away like all the other ones have. It sucks having them in the moment, but once they go down things always look up. I don't h
  8. If you have chronic acne, you know that walking down the face care aisle can be a nightmare. There are only 12,000 choices when it comes to acne wash and so much conflicting information surrounding acne care and products. It can get really confusing and to be honest, I’m still not sure what’s “right” and “wrong” for my face. In high school, antibiotics did the trick, but I think they destroyed my stomach. In college, apparently lack of routine and living on pasta was working for a wh
  9. The Oil Cleansing Method is changing my skin (in the best way possible). If you have acne-prone skin or suffer from other skin issues, you have to give oil cleansing a try. I’m telling you it WORKS. Ever since I started cleaning my face with oil I’ve noticed fewer breakouts and just overall healthier/clearer skin. In this new video I’ll break down why you should be cleaning your skin with oil to get rid of acne and of course, I’m also sharing my before and after results. Hope you find it helpfu
  10. Hey! so around 2015 or so I made a progress report, or journal so to speak on my acne treatment. At the time I was prescribed epiduo for mild/moderate acne, and I've been using it for three years. It worked, it cleared me up and I don't want anyone to get that wrong idea- it isn't "stop working", however I've noticed after research and trial and error that it wasn't right for my skin. A lot of what I've been doing hasn't been right for my skin. I still get breakouts that really bother me, a
  11. Hey everyone, this post is gonna be a little bit shorter because I am gong to the dermatologist in 3 days so I will update everyone more after my visit with her. I will also be uploading a picture of my progress after being on 40mg for one month. So far I am so happy with the results and I can't wait to show you all how my skin is looking! This week I experienced a few nose bleeds but they were very light and short, lasted a total of maybe 45 seconds, I also have noticed that my arms are very d
  12. Day 11 I woke up with 3 huge under the skin pimples on my chin and I could feel one under my skin on the right side of my cheek bone. I'm assuming this is the initial breakout? I never get pimples on my chin..these are the worst pimples I have ever had. The only good thing about them is that they are under the skin and not red at all. Day 12: I woke up with another pimple on the right side of my face, however this one is a small whitehead. I put on makeup today and it looked horrible on my skin.
  13. Hi everyone, Recently (2 weeks ago) I cleansed my skin with castor oil, twice, two days apart. I broke out within a few days into masses of comedones all over my face - pretty much everywhere (no cysts). Some of them are big enough to squeeze out. But there are thousands of tiny ones, only visible when I stretch my skin under the right light, that give my skin a bumpy texture. I don't know if the castor oil is responsible, but it seems like a likely candidate. I'm on tretinoin right now,
